“Wow, backwards AND forwards! Recommended by our AirBnB host Brad in Villa Park, a short drive, and we were greeted upon arrival by a no-nonsense oriental man who seated us immediately. The menu for All You Can Eat Sushi was bigger and better than expected, including appetizers; we chose jalapeno poppers aced Miso soup; and the quality was superb. Flavor was very fresh, place is beautiful, got stuffed (seldom happens with sushi)... can't wait to go back!“

“Overall a solid 4 star experience. We ordered the steak with wafu sauce, fingerling potatoes and a Hamachi sushi roll with wasabi aioli. The steak was beautifully cooked to the right temperature. The sauce on the steak was a bit overwhelming, but we still enjoyed it. The potatoes were okay. The sushi was good quality, but the flavors were just okay.

The server was knowledgeable and friendly and the hostess was accommodating.

The atmosphere was good for a fine dining restaurant with a dimly lit restaurant and a separate side for the bar.“

“This place has the best teriyaki chicken plate I have ever had. They grill up the chicken right in front of you and the teriyaki sauce gives it a wonderful juicy flavor. Comes with rice and vegetables which really makes it a great meal served quickly and with quality. I usually get the extra chicken, which makes it even better and very filling.I only wish they still had the spicy chili garlic sauce in the squeeze bottle they used to put out, but they dropped that in favor of basic Sri Racha packets. Not the same at all. I found the same chili garlic sauce at the grocery "Huy Fong Chili Garlic Sauce." I bring a little container of it with me when I go. Disappointing, but problem solved.“

“I find some of the low reviews here baffling. I think some people may be confusing this restaurant with other Chinese restaurants due to its rather non descript name. Make no mistake, the food here is excellent and punches way above its price point.Coming in the first time I was pessimistic. It seemed your standard pre prepared food menu ready to dish out quickly to the lunch crowd panda express style. I quickly became a huge fan after eating large well prepared portions I would expect from a normal sit down restaurant. Yes it's your standard generic fare but made so much better.Great food, great price. Appreciate these places, the owners care about making something good.“

“My most highly ordered dish is vegan Thai curry fried rice + Add fried tofu. It tastes good. But the only drawback is that I can't rely on consistency. Sometimes they add all stir fry vegetables.sometimes just peas n carrot. Sometimes rice is sticky. Other times it's really nice n fluffy. Sometimes tofu is really deep fried.Sometimes it is just sauteed.Pls maintain consistency.“

“Great staff, atmosphere is cozy like walking into a Japanese Ramen shop for locals not tourists where it's nice, warm, cozy and familiar and the food is divine. Spicy red miso Ramen and black garlic Ramen are just out of this world don't forget the seasoned egg and they have tons of broth so if you order a side of noodles you can eat twice cheap if you never finish the broth like me. Excellent place also try to Karage appetizer super moist and flavorful.

Parking: Parking out front is 10 min limit but if you walk around the corner the parking garage for the entire shopping district is a 1 min walk from Kan Ya and free up to 4 hours never have problem finding space on the first floor if you go early enough or when there isn't a festival. Don't park at the Walgreens across the street you will be towed.“

“Every time we come here we always have a good time! The service is always amazing, the food is also amazing.
We always come here for lunch and the lunch special for chicken is 12.99$ and that includes salad and soup. This place also doesn't up-charge for fried rice!
Overall, this place is my go-to for lunch. A cheap but great meal with a great hibachi performance!“
