“I dreamed of having my wedding reception at Montage, and my dream came true! From the start, Michelle and Jess worked so well with me during the planning process. They were patient and accommodating even through the multiple changes and adjustments that needed to be made. They set out all the wedding decor exactly as I wanted, provided the perfect menu, and brought my vision to life. The reception went so smoothly! Everyone truly enjoyed the specially chosen drink menu. The food was scrumptious, and the service was impeccable. I couldn't have asked for or expected more. Much love to Montage!“

It may be a smaller venue, but they had a solid drink menu with a lot of quality stuff available for very fair prices and excellent service. If you're looking for something a step up from your standard corner bar they are definitely worth the visit.“

“This is one of those hybrid biker/boater bars. Always a good crowd at bars like this.
And even on a Thursday there was a good, friendly crowd. I was the only biker but there were a bunch of fishermen hang out and the only people that drink more than bikers are fishermen!
Service was great, beer was cold, shots were strong enough.“

“Been at Big Basin for about 9 years now, love it there. It's the closest to home and the lowest price of the three marina's on this section of the river. I just need a launch ramp and a dock, but have really enjoyed Big Basin. Parking lot gets a tad crowded on the weekends (of course).“

“horrible service, food horrible, had to wait an hour for patty melts. she had no customers. I called an half hour early.she wouldn't take my order. food was raw after she served 2 other people before my 86 year old mother and i.then charged us double. I want back in she said I miss heard her. bs. sad I cant not tip so I did a few bucks. for almost 2 hours of our day. I will never go back till crazy lady with curls is gone.“

“Babes is a great bar and reataraunt in Coal City. I stopped in on a Monday night after work to celebrate a friend's birthday and was not disappointed. Walking in the front door, the bar is open and inviting. There are gambling machines and a shuffle board table there to pass the time. I sat at the bar and was warmly greeted by Bri. I ordered a beer and a couple appetizers to start. The kitchen is in the front of the house so you can see your food prepared. The jalapeño poppers were a standard deep fried jalapeño with cream cheese, fried to a perfect brown crust on the outside and a creamy spicy inside. The cheese curds are an above average variety. The batter is salty and crunchy which pairs perfectly with the melted gooey cheese on the inside. Next up was the burger. I ordered a hamburger and fries which was recommended by everyone in the place. It did not disappoint. Grilled to order and seasoned with the confidence of an experienced cook. If you are in the area and want a great meal at a great place, stop in and check them out. I know I will be back when I'm in town.“
