Walking in, you're welcomed by two doors. The outer door slams, leaving you with a jolt of fright and embarrassment. The inner door opens you to what can be described as a small ma and pop shop with two visible tables and 4 seats each; making this a carryout spot but, leaving you with a seat or two if you're on lunch and looking to rest for a bit while eating. I'm pretty sure this was the first time I've eaten food from this restaurant but I am certain, after tonight, it won't be the last.

When it comes to eating Chinese cuisine, I usually have to prepare myself for sodium overload. That wasn't the case here. Every dish prepared for us was cooked perfectly. I could actually taste the other flavors they cooked into their food aside from salt which I've come to associate with most food from Chinese restaurants I've eaten at. The Orange Chicken was also really really good but, diabetics beware, it is extremely sweet; so make sure you have that insulin pen ready for after your meal. I should also mention that their food portions are very generous.

One other thing of note: I scheduled my food to be ready 30 minutes before my arrival. I showed up 5 minutes early and they were still cooking my order. The owner explained to me that they made sure to cook the food as close to the time of arrival as possible to make sure it's still hot by the time I got home with it; given that I show up on time. Most places just cook and let it sit until you show up so I think that was really cool of them.

All in all, I really enjoyed their food and if you're looking for a small ma and pop place that values good and fresh food, you've hit the nail on the head here.“

The young lady who waited on me was very customer friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and food prep. The vegetables were perfectly stemmed to perfection! I chose the Buffalo Chicken... Great flavor and perfect temperature and wow, the service we received was amazing by our waiter, JULIA. She was the absolute sweetest and made our experience 10 times better. I had not been to this location but myself and my husband were blown away and will be back. My kids and whole family loved it and even forgot to take pics. “I was told by a friend about this place and I decided to try it I was very happy with my food I got the moo sho pork which is my favorite Chinese dish it was very authentic and delicious the portions are fantastic I could have feed two people with the order .they have an extensive menu which I'm looking forward to trying this place blows away chi tung .“

“I dined in with a friend and it was our first time here. We both ordered from their Combination Special Lunch Plate Menu.

I ordered the Kung Po Chicken, which included an egg roll and choice of steamed white rice, fried rice, or noodles. I chose the fried rice and my friend had the General Tso's Chicken with fried rice. I will leave it to him to review his own dish should he so choose.

The server brought the egg rolls in advance of serving our entrees and rice. They were piping hot, the hottest I've ever experienced. The outer crust was crispy, not soft and greasy as many of my prior experiences elsewhere have often been. The inside was chock full of tasty ingredients.

We also had their hot and sour soup, which was quite good. It was a nice sized portion for the price and had an abundance of stock.

When our main dishes arrived, they were piping hot and exceptionally generous servings, both in terms of the entree portions and the rice.

My Kung Po Chicken had plenty of chicken along with other ingredients. It was flavorfully seasoned, and spicy, just as their menu indicated. The fried rice was also good. Complimentary hot tea was also provided, which we enjoyed as well.

All this for $9.15 per plate. [Note their online menu showed $10.95, but it was actually $9.15. Even at $10.95 it would have been a good value, but at $9.15 it was a great value, the best I've experienced in quite awhile.]

This was our first time here and likely not our last. It is real close to Midway Airport, which makes it handy when traveling in/out of town.

The service was friendly and efficient, and things were served up in a timely fashion. I highly recommend you giving it a try. If you do, and you don't find it as good as another place you've been, please comment so I can give your reccomendation a try, as I'm always up for exceptional Chinese cuisine.

“I love this place, DO NOT GO TO MOES, Li's uses a variety of vegetables in their food where as MOES does not use anything but celery. So if you want to get your moneys worth and get good Chinese food with amazing portion sizes go here! The protein is always cooked properly, they do not use a whole bottle of soy on their rice like most places which is good, they seem to use low sodium and little to non MSG. SO HERE!“

“This is my Moms go to place for her Chinese food n delivery to Sr.Suites of Midway..I've tried it many times w/ my mom.. So I decided that's where I wanted to go. Never judge a book by its cover.. “Great little spot for take out or quick dine in and relax so far my meals have been delicious. The sweet and sour chicken and red sauce is good. The tofu with mixed vegetables is absolutely delicious. The spring rolls are good and so is the egg rolls. The plain fried rice is ok if I wasn't cheap and added meat id be more happy but delicious food and we are back for second round now will update later.

“I'll start with the food being pretty good, plenty of variety, two soft drink machines, the employees very attentive to everything! But!!!!! The price.... super expensive, $20.99 each adult and I paid 10 dollars each for my 3 and 4 year old girls. I think with how expensive it is they can remodel the bathrooms and keep an employee cleaning the bathrooms at least every hour during the restaurant's peak hours. Otherwise I'm not complaining because the food was pretty good!“

They always say food will be delivered in 45 min but 15 min later ding dong, foods here. And they swipe your card in person so no need to share your credit card ? over the phone. ? “Pretty Good! I had the Singapore Noodles and Crab Rangoon. I really liked the veggies in the noodles, however it wasn't alot of chicken and shrimp throughout. Also ordered beef fried rice. 3 items..$37.00. They are a bit pricey! Definitely have a lot of leftovers.“

“Bamboo garden is a hidden gem inside of a first I almost passed it by well, I'm glad I didn't. This place has been a local gem ever since Number One Chop Suey in Oak Forest closed this is. My new go-to for Chinese food. I had the chicken walnut dinner spicy and my friend had beef. Broccoli, both dishes were very good. The restaurant itself was clean. However, they did seem a bit unexpectedly short-staffed for our visit. I would go back. I would recommend it to local friends.“

“The food is legit. I get the beef fried rice, extra spicy with a large shrimp and lobster sauce. The shrimp and lobster sauce is the darker sauce so it’s a good one. They told me 25 minutes but it took about 35 minutes for the food which was fine because it came out piping hot. I’m waiting in my car and the woman brought it out to me. This is my go to Chinese food place even though it’s about 20 minutes from my house.

I love hot and spicy dishes; my favorite is Kung Pao Beef which has a ton of flavor (nice heat), a lot of beef, peanuts and very tasty fried rice. I also like their Shrimp Egg Foo Yung. The other reviewer here is totally wrong. Either he needs to add soy sauce or maybe he was going through chemotherapy and had lost his sense of taste. Their service is also terrific and if you phone in your order ahead of time it will be piping hot ready for pickup iun about 15 minutes within 15 minutes.“

I'm a big fan of the lunch specials and recently tried the pepper steak and shrimp in lobster sauce. This is a great easy takeout option with really good portions.
