“My husband and I have been there several times. Unfortunately this Friday I was disappointed in our meals. I ordered the spaghetti seemed like the pasta was a touch overcooked and the marinara sauce was very bland. My husband’s chicken parmesan was huge but the chicken had no flavor other than the crispy breading. Love the Special salad and the pizza! “Frankie's since 1988 is hands-down, the best restaurant in the southwest Chicago suburbs. My son and I went for my birthday and there was no place I would rather go. The decor is trendy yet elegant and I really enjoyed the music that was playing. Service was quick and friendly. The signature Frankie's old-fashioned was amazing! Although the lasagna is my absolute favorite, I like to try the chef specials whenever possible, especially the seasonal ones. We had the pumpkin lasagna and the butternut squash risotto with crumbled Italian sausage.... Both were amazing! Whether it's your 20th time back or your first time here, the staff and the owner will make you feel like Family. This is truly a gem in the south suburbs. If you're reading this review to see if you want to go to Frankie‘s, don't hesitate... Just make the reservation...You won't be disappointed.“

“I had a catered event on October 2nd. The food was excellent!! Especially the Italian beef and Mac and cheese. Went to drop off stuff snd decided to have lunch since we were there. The Reuben was to die for!! As was the beef sandwich. We also loved the fries. Thank you Jim for making the food for our 30th anniversary party . I would highly recommend using them for all of your catering needs. And if you are in Thorton, pick up lunch. You won’t regret it.“

“We were celebrating our great granddaughters 8th birthday had s party of 7 there and our server Michelle was just awesome!! She was the sweetest friendly young lady!! We had the best time and she made it so special for my great granddaughter! The food was so delicious and everything hot served great!! “Hosted a small dinner with family after a baptism and had a great time! The food was absolutely delicious, service was excellent, and the ambiance was very nice. We were seated in a semi-private area by the fireplace and had a dedicated cake and gift table supplied. The nearby bar was a nice feature too as it was Bears Sunday. Our menu consisted of minestrone soup, hot fresh bread, tossed salad, fried chicken, mostacolli bolognese, sausage and peppers, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and ice cream. The deal was unbeatable! Definitely will be coming again and possibly even catering bigger parties from there in the future. Thanks for a great party! All the guests very much enjoyed as well!“

I had a one hour layover in midway, and my gate was in another concourse. I felt like it was a small gamble to eat there and make it across the airport in time. But the service was simply top-notch!

The food was good too! The chicken tenders felt like Costco chicken tenders, but they were prepared well. The best part? The chicken wings! Order that appetizer because you won't regret it! The wings were huge for chicken wings! Everyone one had a good deal of meat on them. Really impresses that those giant wings were hiding in an airport.“

“We came here as a large group of 15 and the staff did a great job setting up tables outdoors quickly to accommodate us. The pizza itself was very good, and we all enjoyed the food. Our server seemed fairly new but was really putting in the effort, which we appreciated.

The only downside was that someone nearby was smoking, which took away from the experience since we had a pregnant guest and four very young children with us. The Smoke-Free Illinois Act applies to all outdoor eating and drinking areas, making it illegal to smoke there if employees are present to serve food which they were. The staff did not enforce this law which we felt they should have. We hope management can train their staff on this issue and that the staff enforce it.

All in all it was a good outing and the place has a lot of potential for families and groups.“
