Fantastic experience! This place is a great spot and the food definitely does not disappoint. The margarita selection was incredible—so many options it was hard to choose from! 🍹 I’m hoping the mojitos will be available when the warmer season comes around.
We started with the queso fundido (cheese & chorizo dip) and it was absolutely delicious. For the main dishes we ordered the 3-pick taco combo—Baja, shrimp, and filet mignon on corn tortillas—and a shredded chicken bowl. Everything was flavorful and well prepared.
The menu is thoughtfully put together with plenty of great choices. The atmosphere works perfectly whether you’re out for a date night or with a larger group. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely appreciative.

“This place is truly one of the best spots for Mexican food 🌮😋! I tried a steak burrito and some steak tacos, and the flavor of the steak was amazing 🤤. Portions were generous, and even though I got my order to go 🥡, the restaurant itself is small, cozy, and super clean ✨. I loved the cute decorations and the overall vibe 🪴🎨. Definitely a must-visit if you’re on the Southside 👍. I’ll absolutely be coming back soon!“

“Wonderful mexican food. Been a tinley park / oak forest resident my whole life, and I have not stopped coming back to tacos diaz for when I want mexican food. Al pastor (pork) tacos are fresh and made excellent. Thank you for wonderful food & wonderful service“

“Surprisingly for a hidden taco joint in a gas station, it’s great. I’ve had the tacos, burritos, and torta. The el pastor burrito is delicious! Their burrito tortilla is not like those thin stretchy flour tortillas, it’s great for burritos. The steak, lengua, and el pastor tacos are good too! The carnita taco is okay, not the best but it’s good. The torta is one of my go to’s. It can be a bit pricy but I think it’s worth it if you have the money to spend lol.“

“Pacheco's food is delicious and generous and they are always so friendly!! For my money, it is the best taco salad in the city. They have brightened up that little spot and we are so grateful to have them as neighbors ❤“

“Yesterday was my first time visiting this location, and overall I had a really good experience 😊 The food was super delicious and full of flavor, and the portions were very generous - definitely more than enough to feel satisfied 🍽️👌 I’ll absolutely be coming back again!
One small thing that could be improved is clearer signage. There wasn’t anything indicating that you can seat yourself, so I assumed I needed to order at the counter and wait for a number 🤔 Turns out I was completely wrong, and for a moment I thought I was about to get scolded 😅 The lady at the counter helped fix my order and guided me, and then I was able to sit down.
Aside from that little confusion, everything else was great, and I still really enjoyed my visit 🙌✨“

“Burritos are huge. Don’t recommend the shrimp tacos or chorizo, really salty even when eaten with the rice. Our waitress Guadalupe was rude, doesn’t know how to smile, and kept rushing us. Took a star off because of her.
Really hated that the tip was mandatory with no option to adjust. Tipped almost $20 for absolute garbage service. Will Not return“

“We hired them for a graduation party 🎓🎉, and they were absolutely amazing to work with! From the start, they were kind, helpful, and super easy to communicate with 🤝😊. During the event, their energy was great they were not only professional but also fun to be around, which really added to the overall atmosphere of the celebration 🎈✨.
Everything went smoothly thanks to their support, and they made sure we felt comfortable and taken care of the whole time 🙌. It’s not always easy to find people who are both organized and genuinely enjoyable to work with, but they definitely delivered on both.
I’m so happy with the experience that I’ll definitely be booking them again for any future events I plan 🥳💯!“

“Just had their steak (carne asada) tacos! Absolutely fantastic! The green salsa is on point! Very generous on the size of their tacos. I'm extremely picky when it comes to getting tacos in fact I only like my tacos from one or two taco places in all of Chicago. This is my first time coming here and this spot just got added to my small list. I will most definitely stop by this place whenever I'm around this area. Thank you for the great food! “I just ate here today. And service was great food was good and made ready to order. Who ever that girl is on the register is is hella mad gorgeous. Definitely would recommend and I am coming back. I was out visiting a friend and discovered this place. When I walked in and saw the hot (spicy) vegetables I wanted to start eating them while waiting on my to go order. When I opened up that container I felt like I struck gold! The food was delicious and the onion bulb was a great touch. A real portion of food. I definitely got my moneys worth. I live 30 minutes away and will be driving over there when I want a taste of Mexico.

“We ended up at this place by chance with 6 of us, ranging from teens to a grandma. All of us loved it. The tacos were really delicious. Grandma felt that the guacamole was too salty so the owner came out and apologized, made her a fresh batch to her liking AND removed it from the bill. Both food and service were top notch. The atmosphere was super fun and lively too.“

“This place was so good! My boyfriend, baby, and I came here to dine in yesterday and the food was phenomenal. We were looking for queso barria tacos on google and they showed up. The server was awesome. They didn’t have a kids menu but I asked if they can do rice and eggs for the baby and they did just that he loved his meal as well! The cook even came to talk to us for a bit which I thought was pretty cool…very personalable! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for your service 😁“

“Best Jerk Chicken I've had, the food is beyond amazing and delicious and their customer service is excellent. Someone greets you when you come in to order or pick up your food. Everything from the Jerk chicken , Jerk chicken Alfredo and all the side dishes are delicious.
