“I can't believe I'm about to give this taco bell 5 stars but I have to b/c what a difference new employees can make!! The crunchy tacos were filled like they used to be back in the day & the service was professional, welcoming & quick. We've given this place a try a few times when it opened but the service was horrible & took forever & forget about ever trying to go in there to eat. Hopefully they keep this up b/c Culver's next door is loaded w/ cars & the line would still move faster.“

“I LOVE the jerk chicken tacos, they are so FYE!!!! Whoever would”ve thought or known that a Mexican/Latino place can make jerk chicken tacos BETTER than these African places and I STAND on that! I don’t even get any sauce because it’s not needed. Im hooked to the point I haven’t even tried anything else on the menu besides the Mexican corn and it’s fye too! Eventually I will try other menu items but right now I just can’t get pass them JERK CHICKEN TACOS that I eat at least 3 times a week. They NEVER disappoint!“

Once again the food was very tasty but tipping would have to be an option and believe me I always leave a good tip.“

“Stopped here on a whim. Right off expressway. Looks like it just opened but they have been there for about 3 years. And still looks brand new. Reasonable prices. Great customer service. Everything was fresh and hot. We had their tacos. Ground beef taco 10/10, chicken taco 10/10 they use shredded chicken which we appreciate, and their Al pastor which was tender, saucy and flavorful. Appreciate that they paired it with a wedge of lime 🍋‍🟩 we also tried their carne asada torta which was 10/10 love that they add guacamole and the bread was toasted to perfection on outside but still fresh and soft when you bite into it. We also had their elote which was a generous size. And their red and green salsa were both delicious 10/10. We also appreciate their fountain drink machine being well calibrated right amount of carbonation and syrup and their ice cubes were hollow cubes which as an ice chewer I appreciate. Definitely recommend and worth the drive.“

“The stars are for the Dyer restaurant. I've also been to Lansing (on Torrence Ave). I'll tell you about both and compare them for you, but all I've ever eaten here is barbacoa because you can't find it by my house & I LOVE it. (My husband has tried a couple of other things, but he'd never had barbacoa before and once he tried mine, that's all he's eaten, also. 😂)

🔸Dyer - I've been here many times. It's not fancy, but it's clean and the service is quick. I've eaten inside and taken my food to go. You order at the counter and they bring you the food which is DELICIOUS‼️ It's the best barbacoa I've had in YEARS! So good! 😋

🔸Lansing - I've only been here once. I took my food to go. It looks a little fancier (more colorful and modern) and it appeared as though they had more people working there, but the service didn't seem quite as fast as in Dyer, and this restaurant is on the corner of a very busy street, and it was dinner time. (The Dyer restaurant is not as big for inside dining, but it's also very busy. However, it's located in a not very busy corner mall.)

I was disappointed in Lansing's barbacoa after having eaten Dyer's many times and come to expect steady perfection. Here, it was dark and dried out. It's a good thing I ordered some guacamole on the side to add to my tacos. I always order extra cheese on my tacos but here, I don't think I even got the normal amount and I paid almost a dollar a taco for it. (So much for my "Taco Tuesday" discount.) My husband ordered the same in a burrito and he felt the same way that I did. We were very disappointed when we got home - and the food was still very hot, so we can't blame it on that.

I never thought to order guacamole in Dyer, but in Lansing they have an open freezer (to the side) for Mexican popsicles and such, and an open fridge right at the counter, so the guacamole, amongst other things (I don't remember what), were impossible to ignore. I did appreciate that they offered two kinds - with everything and plain. Not only was it very tasty, but I had a small amount left because I didn't eat all of my food at once, and the guacamole stayed fresh and green in my fridge for TWO DAYS! Unheard of!

So, all in all, I might try the Lansing location again, but the Dyer location is totally in my heart for their barbacoa and people. Time after time it's been tender and scrumptious and the people are warm and friendly - something I cannot say about the Lansing location.

Btw, both places have plenty of free parking - in Lansing, on both sides of the building and in Dyer, a large, shared lot right in front. Wheelchair accessibility is good in Dyer, but I think it would be more difficult in Lansing.“

“Go to fhis El Mariachi ll not the one by 151st and Torrence. These Nachos are to kill for ?????. They season their beef. Its oretty darn good compared to 7 Mexican restauant s around there. Their green enchiladas is tasty ???. Their Margaritas mmm $5 a glass worth it ?? the place is cute and small, but worth it ??

Parking: Theres enuff spots to park. And its got gambling slots there.

“Good place to drink. Food is pretty decent. Go when it's busy though if you are eating, otherwise the service is super slow. They don't tend to make rounds to check on you when there aren't alot of people.

Come for a drink anytime though, bartender is very attentive.“

“This place has amazing tacos de carnitas !!!! The meat was so tender and juicy. No fat on the tacos I had. It’s a 20 min drive from my house in Gary but man it’s worth the drive. I highly recommend. I had 2 tacos de carnitas 1 asada 1 apastor and 1 large agua de Jamaica. Total was $18“

“We ordered taco meals that came with your choice of meat. The meals came with rice and refried beans. It was very good. But the young lady that took our order was not friendly nor warm to us. She smiled and was friendly to only Mexican customers. It's sad that we are still experiencing this type of behavior in the 20the century. Business owners should be way more concerned with the value of their service and quality of food. We are spending money just like everyone else. The employee took the order of the people behind us instead?!?!!! We ended up leaving because nobody acknowledged that we were even there! I never had a problem with the drive thru.
