“We dined at Plateia for the first time tonight. The food is absolutely fantastic. We had the feta and honey appetizer along with tzatziki and fresh warm pita. For our main course, I had the yogurt chicken and oven potatoes which were delicious. My husband had the pastitcio which he enjoyed. Service was great, too! By the way, while waiting did our table, we observed a screaming woman who was upset that she had not been seated yet. She was incredibly rude to the hostesses and left in a huff. She threatened to leave nasty reviews on Yelp, calling the restaurant "trash". Make no mistake... she was the trashy one. If she leaves a review here, ignore it!“
“I've worked in Morton Grove for 26 years and we have patronized this location often and have always found the food to be consistently great and the service to be Timely and I'm actually on my way there this now! “Y’all need to visit Taverna Naxos in Wilmette and have an Aphrodite‘s Kiss made by Rosanna. It’s their Greek version of an Old Fashioned and is truly fantastic. Follow that up with the Baby Back Ribs (no bbq sauce in sight or needed) and you’ll be anxious to return. Say hi to Naxos’s manager, Suzanne, who will make sure you enjoy your visit.“
“They give you nice fat chunks of gyro meat here, it's excellent. My wife and I had a Chicago dog, pizza puff, bomber special, onion rings, Oreo shake. Everything was very good and the prices were fine. Bomber Special and Pizza Puff were my faves. Great dive vibes; it's a tiny 8-stool bar with a little TV in the corner. Playing tennis when I went (hell yeah)The gyro meat was chunky and had a good bite, and with BBQ sauce on the bomber special it was insane. The onion rings are breaded and I personally prefer battered, but the breading was even and fried well, and the inside was all beautiful stringy onions. Pizza puff was fantastic, great cheese and sauce ratio and really satisfying bites all the way through.Chicago dog was good, they use a poppyseed bun (I'm sick of going to spots with regular buns, this is a real dog) except I think the sports peppers were a little heavy. Tomatoes were a little light, but I prefer that. Oreo shake was excellent, it was creamy and a little icey in a good wayThe guy was really nice too. He was great at interacting with the customers that were interested and laying off the ones just trying to enjoy their food. 10/10 spot“
“Been a customer since 1978 when it opened. There have been a few changes in ownership over the last 10 years, but the food quality has come back to an excellent level again. Love the gyros. The meat, the bread and how it’s cooked, and the sauce are amazing. But their gyros are not the only food they serve. Make a trip . It’s worth it.“

I commend small businesses like this for keeping their commitment to being a wonderful local option for Wilmette and the surrounding neighborhoods. “So me and my girlfriend were walking on the sculpture park path when we saw (and smelled) this restaurant. We were both hungry and felt lazy to cook at home so we decided to drop in. From the outside it looked like a sit down restaurant, but when we went in it was more of a fast food Greek gyro joint with no d (nothing wrong with that in my opinion). We both got a gyro sandwich and shared an onion ring side. We got our food pretty fast and it was delicious! However, I do think they kinda went overboard on the onions but that's probably just me. Would recommend this place heavily for a quick bite to eat.“

“The atmosphere for New Year's Eve was lively and loud to be sure. Entering through a back door into a narrow space was odd and not the most welcoming set-up, especially having parked on the street along Milwaukee Ave. The dining area was comfortable, aside from a couple guests who were loud and could be heard from several tables away. Service was good and pleasant though robotic and somewhat forced. The gentleman refilling water was superb and always on his game! We never had less than half a glass full---much appreciated! We came to Chrissoulas, having read excellent reviews. The food was good, including the pasta with chorizo and octopus and gyro. The pork medallions were only three, however, with a whole lot of salad, leaving one guest in our party inadequately full and value for the money poor. Menu options were overpriced in general though not outrageous. Two televisions playing sports over the bar did not seem in keeping with a fine dining establishment, but rather with a sports bar. Overall Chrissoulas was a decent experience with good food but not deserving of the amazing reviews seen elsewhere---a solid 3-4 stars out of 5.“

I'm a bit of a Gyros junkie so stumbling onto the name on Google maps caught my attention.My family & I were wandering around Old Orchard before coming here but I'm not familiar with any restaurants within the mall that serve up Gyros or at least I haven't heard of any popular name that's known for their Gyros there.Told my wife I've got that craving and wanna go exploring. Grecian Kitchen sounded just dandy and also in town not all that far from the mall and I always try my best to support local.I know besides actual Greek restaurants that there are hundreds of Chicago/Greek grills that many people would claim "MEH, they're all the same!". Not always the case for me and GK boasts a great menu with really good food and especially the Gyros.I've had my fair share of places that have served up some bland & boring Gyros before and never to return. Gyros here are excellent; meat is soft & moist, well seasoned and not too salty.Prices are still reasonable amidst the pandemic, nationwide inflation and the minimum wage hike. Clean dining room with outdoor seating as well with friendly customer service.We live up in Beach Park in between Wadsworth and Waukegan so not sure when I'll get back down here but if my wife ever wants to browse Nordstrom which Old Orchard is the closest to our house then I'll have to make room for some savory Gyros.I wish a prosperous & successful future for the owner(s) and decades of boomin' business to come their way.“

They staff were very nice, especially for my first time.Very simplistic appearance. But, clean!Parking: There is not a lot of parking close by. I had to park in a nearby roadside spot.“
“I went to this restaurant with family on 11/13 2023. We got outdoor seating and they were able to put tables together and seat us very fast. The service always had smiles on their faces and were all around very pleasant. The view was amazing, right next to the water. There was a bit of a wait for the food (which is expected for the large group we had) but they had live music and just such a great atmosphere. The food was 10/10 meeting and beating all of our expectations. Some dishes were a little pricey but not bad for the amount of food we were given and for the quality of food it was.“
“My daughter had a dance recital that ended late and we needed someplace open. I had always wanted to try Hubs but never had the chance. My wife had the burger which had an excellent char and my sun and I shared the ribs and wings special. It was great. Was it the best no. Was it fine dining heck no did it fit the bill heck ya. Top 5 Gyros and Chicken Gyros spots in the Chicagoland suburban area in my opinion. Ordered their Chicken Gyros sandwich as well as a side of Oven-baked Greek Potatoes (pictured here). So much gyros meat and the potatoes are perfectly baked and soaked in broth. Not going to wait years for my next visit.“

“Went for a late afternoon family birthday dinner. The menu selection, food quality, authenticity, ambiance were all second to none. I recommend the Yemista (stuffed peppers and tomatoes filled with beef and rice) served with Greek potatoes and veggies. Other family members had the Dolmades, Pastitsio, and Makaronada, all of which were mouth watering and done right! Avgolemono was glorious, and the Saganaki was awesome, spot on-not dry or too salty. Portions are generous and yet dont leave you stuffed but satisfied. It felt like we were in Greece. OPAA! You must eat here! Bravo Dimitri's and all the staff, σας ευχαριστούμε!“
