I don’t even like vegetables and these were great. The Phoenix flame potatoes were amazing! So much so I ordered some to go. This place is a diamond in the rough.“
“My first time trying this spot as I don't live anywhere near it. Referred by a friend and so happy we followed that direction. Food was delicious as were the cocktails. Food had amazing flavors with a bit of spice on the back end. Our waitress DeAnna was lovely and walked us through the menu and specials with great detail. We loved all she recommended.“
“This place is in general a really, really awesome place. The service is insanely swift, they get your food out real quick. The atmosphere is top notch, may not be the biggest but the decor and feel is just really cool. The food of course, is also next level. They have such a unique array of food, subs, bowls, shawarma, tacos, subs, gyros, and a bunch more. The food was really well made and fresh, and of course pretty tasty. “I found out I had to host Christmas days before the 25th. I can't describe how friendly, helpful and extremely serviceable they were with me placing a catering order only 2 days from Christmas. Since I needed for the 25th, they opened specifically for my order.....Wow!! The service was phenomenal the food was exceptional!! Truly blessed to have them in the neighborhood! Puerto Rican rice, tostones. lechon, ham and potato salad enough for the entire family (25 people) with left overs for the next day. Thank you doesn't seem enough for the owners. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and service. BTW......pistachio coquito......amazing!!!“
“The first thing that I noticed about Amerikas was the super lively and bright ambiance. I went I on a Saturday night with my wife, so I wasn't surprised by all of the people dining and having a good time, and as I ate my dinner I definitely learned why. The decor is bright and fun. The walls are lined by mutuals, mostly yellow, with big splashes of color. I liked how then kept the lights on to keep the atmosphere bright and fun. The food was delicious too. My wife and ordered the pulpo, barbacoa, tacos (shrimp and pork shoulder), tostada de pescado, ceviche and the dragon fruit cheesecake for dessert. I enjoyed all of the dishes, my favorites were the barbacoa and the pulpo. The barbacoa was super flavorful and fell right off the bone, no knife was need. The pulpo was cooked to perfection and was tender and delicious. The risk with pulpo is that it can be chewy and tough, definitely not the case here. One note, the tostada for the tostada de pescado seem a bit too dry, but the flavor of fresh seafood made up for it. If you want a fun show with your food, order the ceviche, it comes out with a cool smoke effect. Overall, the service was fast and friendly, and the overall experience at the restaurant was enjoyable. While they don't have a parking lot, street parking is cheap (at least compared to Chicago) and plentiful. Amerikas is a must visit in Oak Park.“
“Last Friday, my team and I had the pleasure of dining at Maya Del Sol, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible service we received. After a long day of meetings, we were looking forward to unwinding and enjoying some good food, and Maya Del Sol exceeded our expectations. We had a party of about 22 people, which can be quite challenging for any restaurant to handle, but the staff at Maya Del Sol handled it with grace and efficiency. Our server, Erin, deserves special recognition for her outstanding service. She was attentive, fast, and incredibly patient with our large group. It's not easy to cater to the needs of 22 people, but Erin did it flawlessly and with a smile on her face. I have no doubt that Erin went home exhausted after serving us, but her exceptional customer service truly made our dining experience unforgettable. Thank you, Erin and the rest of the Maya Del Sol team, for your hard work and dedication. We will definitely be back for more delicious food and fantastic service!“
“I dined here with a buddy of mine last week. The food was great and the quality was amazing! Nice cuts of steak. Also had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was very welcoming and responsive to our needs. The lady who served us also had a cool personality and making sure we had everything we needed. “Porkito is such a great addition to the neighborhood! Finally something different AND delicious. After seeing the restaurants post that was shared in our Community Facebook page, we decided to give this place a try! As a family who does not eat out often, we typically stick to what we know but couldn't pass up the opportunity to try something new. We decided to get takeout and went with two orders of the sliders with all different options so that we could try [almost] the entire menu of sandwich options in one fell swoop. The only two flavors we have not tried yet are the Cubano and the Big Green but out of what we had, there was not one that we did not like! Our personal favorites were the Hawaiian and Buffy with the Sauzee and Jammy following close behind. We also got our kiddos the Tater tots which were perfectly crisp and flavorful and for ourselves, the loaded tots. Everything was delicious with no complaints! Fortunately, us straying away from the regular few places we frequent was a success and we will happily add Porkito to that very small list. We plan to actually eat in the restaurant sometime soon so that we can try it fresh and have the full experience without the delay of driving it home and letting things sit for too long... But even still.. We really enjoyed everything!“
“Yesterday we were eating with my family and we loved everything; from the service of the two waitresses who attended to us very efficiently, explaining all the dishes and the difference between them. Making recommendations for dishes and appetizers. We also enjoyed some delicious passion fruit mojitos and some brandy sour. At the time of paying, they explained to us very clearly how the machine works to swipe the card and specify the tip if we wanted to leave it by card or in cash. On the other hand, the food was exquisite and on point. Excellent seasoning. And even though the restaurant was full, they allowed us to eat in peace but we also understood that we had to hurry a little to give them the table or other diners who wanted to dine there and were waiting for a table. I thank you for the excellent service, attention and food. We will be back soon. ?“

“Fritada is delicious! I had to eat my plate in the car because the smell of the food was sooo good. This is my go to place for food after work. 100% would recommend and they are always so kind. Ma and Pa Location. They used to have a different location that my family would go to but they closed and moved. We didn't find the new address until last year and I'm never losing this spot again.“
“I really liked the place. The restaurant is very cute inside and has a nice bar. We ordered a couple margaritas which were good. The all you can eat chips were amazing along with the salsa. My only complaint was my dinner was so spicy and it was just fish tacos. My other friends also complained about the same thing. One had shrimp tacos and the other shrimp enchiladas. I've been to many Mexican restaurants and don't remember those types of dishes being that spicy. All in all I would come back again as drinks and chips were very good.“
“i recently moved to the area and was looking for mexican food, and so i decided to try this place from google maps. i ordered the steak burrito special with rice and beans for takeout, and it was delicious! the burrito was big and the steak was seasoned well. i was pleasantly surprised and excited to have found a great mexican place nearby. this has become my go-to, and i will definitely be back often!“

“This small family owned restaurant is everything and more! The food and portion size is amazing. The meat is seasoned perfectly. I recommend the steak Jibarito or if you like a bit of heat try the Buffalo chicken. Rice is cooked to perfection. To top it off, the staff are so polite and friendly. 10/10 recommend. I will definitely be coming back!!“
