“After hearing about Omarcito’s from Triple D, we had to try it. The owner, Omar, is hilarious and has a great personality. He greeted everyone as they walked up and held genuine conversations. My husband and I ordered a few different items, and we were not disappointed. The ingredients are fresh and you could tell the meat is marinated because it was super tender. This place is a must!!“

“The concept for the menu is a unique trip along the Pan-American highway with stops at various Latin countries. Each dish and drink is thoughtful in its ingredients and presentation. The jicama salad was refreshing, but not at all plain. The pastel de choclo was a wonderful surprise of a warm dish. The frozen el arenal was seriously dangerous in how delicious it was, I can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. We are so thrilled to have this gem in the neighborhood and can’t wait to see what they do in the future!“

“Sitting at the counter and seeing everything/interacting with everyone changes the whole experience. We had a fantastic time celebrating our anniversary here. Every dish was fun to explore. Was delicious, I felt that a lot of dishes were overly salty but my partner thought otherwise.“

“Casa Yari is the best for vegan food in Chicago...hands down. The menu is creative, delicious and made with love. Yari is an amazing chef and human all around. Her staff, which includes her daughters, is very knowledgeable about the menu and can guide you on what to get if you're a first timer. Every dish is made to order so a little bit of a wait time is to be expected and well worth it. Be sure to check their website for updated rotating menus as well as some restaurant FAQs (i.e. they stop taking orders about 30 min before close) Heads up, brunch is busy so you most likely won't be able to grab your order to go but you are more than welcome to dine in at the bar if you're solo. They also have an amazing N/A cocktail list for those of you that don't drink. This is not a place to miss if you're a true Chicago foodie!“

“this restaurant is an absolute gem!! my partner and i had an early dinner here last saturday and were really blown away by how incredible the food, drinks and service were. between us we had soup, flautas, wings, a gordita and a burrito and we basically gushed over how delicious it all was for days after!
the drinks alone are reason enough to stop in.
the place is a masterclass in substance AND style, and we can’t wait to try some more menu items next time!“

“DO NOT MISS THE HAPPY HOUR! We were absolutely thrilled to find FULL SIZE PORTIONS on the Happy Hour menu! $7 food selections, $7 cocktails, $4 draft beer! We ordered the Nachos, the Carne Asada Tacos, and the Ceviche. The tacos were STUFFED with meat! Our server Victor, just absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgeable! A pleasure to have them helping us! Excellent experience in all ways, we WILL be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Food was absolutely delicious - i had the Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo (Garlic Shrimp) and the whole thing was 10/10. Washed it down with a really good classic margarita, which was HUGE and strong in all the right ways. Our server was a gem, she was so nice and attentive and the food was fast to come out. The patio was spacious and calm, and with the sounds of local families and music floating in it felt very neighborhoody - which i love. Overall a great small business to come and support in person if you're able.“

“Everything I had was absolutely delicious. I ordered the leap of faith $90 each surprise menu for two. I got hamachi crudo, hot oysters, cheesy bread with fig jam and cream, heirloom tomato salad, wagyu steak, red snapper, soft serve, and lychee guava sorbet. 10/10 the steak was perfect and melted in your mouth.“

“As a luxe wedding photographer, CARNIVALE in Chicago is basically my favorite place to work ever. Imagine a rainbow exploded in a jungle—that’s what this venue looks like, and every corner is photogenic chaos in the best way possible! FLORALS, NEON SIGNS, STREET ART: the works. The layout is perfect for capturing wild dance-floor shots, intimate couple moments, and all the shenanigans in between. It's just So. Much. Fun! The food? So good that by the end of the night, I may or may not have needed to be rolled out to my car by the staff (still worth it). Best wedding food I've ever indulged in, and that's saying a lot considering I've been in the bizzz for 15 years. “The food is simple. Don serves pork cantinas with tortillas and with a side onion, cilantro , and marinated peppers. There isn’t too much you can eat if you gluten intolerance because everything seems very marinated in a good way. The service is really nice. The inside needs remodeling it’s very outdated comparing all the new restaurant around that neighborhood. Don has no kid menus.“

“Went here later at night in a windy and cold night to have morocho as I was passing by from Colorado to Maryland. I was pleasantly surprised, taste was good and empanadas were bigger and had more cheese than expected. I have gone to a different place for years but unfortunately closes early (6pm) and food taste and quality has definitely declined so this will be my new spot everytime I am in Chicago. Highly reccomend.“

“I've been here a few times now. There's no wait for a table, you sit yourself anywhere. Parking on the street, I typically walk no more than a block. Service is good. They serve water in styrofoam cups which I found odd but, water tastes fresh and refreshing. Prices on food are expensive with the average being like $20 for a plate. The food is very delicious. We had empanadas, morocho, salmon and broiled chicken. The portions are massive and the food is very very good. They give complementary platano chips which are always bomb. I'd give this place 5 stars if the prices were a little lower. Highly recommend!“
