It is a Mexican spot so getting a burger was sorta strange but once I read the beef was mixed with Chorizo I was sold and just had to try it. It didn’t disappoint. “The concept for the menu is a unique trip along the Pan-American highway with stops at various Latin countries. Each dish and drink is thoughtful in its ingredients and presentation. The jicama salad was refreshing, but not at all plain. The pastel de choclo was a wonderful surprise of a warm dish. The frozen el arenal was seriously dangerous in how delicious it was, I can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. We are so thrilled to have this gem in the neighborhood and can’t wait to see what they do in the future!“

“After hearing about Omarcito’s from Triple D, we had to try it. The owner, Omar, is hilarious and has a great personality. He greeted everyone as they walked up and held genuine conversations. My husband and I ordered a few different items, and we were not disappointed. The ingredients are fresh and you could tell the meat is marinated because it was super tender. This place is a must!!“

“Casa Yari is the best for vegan food in Chicago...hands down. The menu is creative, delicious and made with love. Yari is an amazing chef and human all around. Her staff, which includes her daughters, is very knowledgeable about the menu and can guide you on what to get if you're a first timer. Every dish is made to order so a little bit of a wait time is to be expected and well worth it. Be sure to check their website for updated rotating menus as well as some restaurant FAQs (i.e. they stop taking orders about 30 min before close) Heads up, brunch is busy so you most likely won't be able to grab your order to go but you are more than welcome to dine in at the bar if you're solo. “DO NOT MISS THE HAPPY HOUR! We were absolutely thrilled to find FULL SIZE PORTIONS on the Happy Hour menu! $7 food selections, $7 cocktails, $4 draft beer! We ordered the Nachos, the Carne Asada Tacos, and the Ceviche. The tacos were STUFFED with meat! Our server Victor, just absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgeable! “Food was absolutely delicious - i had the Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo (Garlic Shrimp) and the whole thing was 10/10. Washed it down with a really good classic margarita, which was HUGE and strong in all the right ways. Our server was a gem, she was so nice and attentive and the food was fast to come out. The patio was spacious and calm, and with the sounds of local families and music floating in it felt very neighborhoody - which i love. Overall a great small business to come and support in person if you're able.“

“Went here later at night in a windy and cold night to have morocho as I was passing by from Colorado to Maryland. I was pleasantly surprised, taste was good and empanadas were bigger and had more cheese than expected. I have gone to a different place for years but unfortunately closes early (6pm) and food taste and quality has definitely declined so this will be my new spot everytime I am in Chicago. Highly reccomend.“

“I've been here a few times now. There's no wait for a table, you sit yourself anywhere. Parking on the street, I typically walk no more than a block. Service is good. They serve water in styrofoam cups which I found odd but, water tastes fresh and refreshing. Prices on food are expensive with the average being like $20 for a plate. The food is very delicious. We had empanadas, morocho, salmon and broiled chicken. The portions are massive and the food is very very good. They give complementary platano chips which are always bomb. I'd give this place 5 stars if the prices were a little lower. Highly recommend!“
