“All I know is that the food is so good that I have been here 3 times since it opened (Which has been less then 6 months). I know I should branch out and try the other offerings but I just really love the Tori Paitan and will be back more when the cooler weather is fully settled in.
I also sincerely appreciate that there are good non-alcoholic mixed drinks, because sometimes someone just wants a fun mixed drink but none of the alcohol and there's quite a few options here- expanded even from the menu pictured on Google. There's a really good Yuzu based drink that I also keep getting that is my favorite.
The atmosphere is higher end but not pretentious, and cozy while still being open.

I look forward to bringing more of my friends here.

Parking: Fair amount of parking but it's in a strip mall with other restaurants so you're not always able to find a spot immediately. There's usually more parking in the back“

“Ordered carry-out from the Vernon Hills location and loved it! Fantastic quality ramen, flavorful broth and still hot after getting it home. Miso Ramen and Taiwan Ramen are fantastic, but beware that single pepper icon, because it’s no joke! (And I say this as someone who grew up eating spicy food 🙂) Delicious, but intense! I would LOVE to see a milder version of the Taiwan Ramen (or at least a way to adjust the heat, like the Spicy Miso), because the flavor was truly amazing and addictive.“

“Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is located in the food court of the Mitsuwa Marketplace at Algonquin Rd. & Arlington Heights Rd. There are some amazing ramen dishes and there is a large menu board at the order counter. We ordered from the ramen combinations and we were not let down. The food was tasty and the prices were reasonable. 100% recommend“

“This place serves ramen incredibly fast, and the service is always great. The food is absolutely delicious. I’ve already been here five times, which is unusual for me—I normally don’t visit the same restaurant more than once or twice. But here, I want to try everything on the menu!
I’ve already tried every type of ramen they offer, and I can honestly recommend them all - they’re all full of flavor. I also really appreciate their private seating areas with curtains that give you a bit of space and privacy from other guests.

“The widest selection of Sushi grade seafood Ive seen on a menu in a Long time- all very fresh and very generously portioned! Octopus and salmon Sashimi were the dessert orders from our kids 😂 We will definetly be returning, and highly recommend. Servers, Host, Owner, entire staff was extremely attentive- and to top it all they were happily and safely able to accomodate my childs severe dairy and peanut allergies (first sushi experience for him, and we Love seafood, so huge win for the whole family 🙌🏼)“

“Really lovely and calming atmosphere! I'm from out of town working an event and it was a very relaxing experience to eat here. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and my partner ordered the general tso chicken (and we both got some tempura shrimp). The server was so kind and polite and our food was AMAZING. 1. Asked questions of Shoju, the owner brings beautiful bottle to show you and give a taste! This is better service than last night at 5 star Park Hyatt restaurant!

2. The Izakaya grill chicken skin & spicy pepper, 5 star presentation and taste. 5/5

3. The chilled tofu, 6 star presentation on an iced bucket, and for a steal price. 6/5

4. The simmer fish bone, good amount of fish collar, again nice presentation. 4/5

5. Fatty Salmon Nigiri, 5/5 So what’s the secret of make JP restaurant level sashimi VS the supermarket sashimi? Different level fish, or different knife cutting technique?

6. JP music at background and nice sushi bar seat, deco is 5/5.

I’ll be back for more. A new Gem in Chicago suburb. Must try, please. I’m concerned, they don’t have enough customer to sustain their current food quality / service / price level.

Surprisingly, I didn't expect that tasty soup bowl at a food court restaurant.
The broth was rich and full of taste.
The greens were fresh, noodles were cooked well, and even the ramen egg, which I normally skip, was good.

“Sushi is no longer served here which surprised me but instead I chose a teriyaki shrimp lunch meal which was excellent. I also LOVED the golden shrimp and will be back for that!!! My food was hot with decent portions, and the lemonade tasted freshly-made and tart. I think she may have used pure ingredients as I watched her make a pitcher at the bar area. I also liked the music which surprised me- 90's R&B slow jams. Super chill and quiet atmosphere here with interesting and unique decor throughout.“
