“This restaurant is really outstanding and really great for the image of Evanston's southern end. The food is fantastic and I very much enjoy everything from the Bacon Temptation Omelette to the Spicy Poblano Omelette to the Crispy Chicken Sandwich to the Cowboy Burger. All of the food is fabulous and very well prepared, the variety is wonderful, and the coffee is always fresh. And above all, Ivan and the waitstaff provide customer service that's 'above and beyond' in every way. They're very kind, compassionate, efficient, and accomodating to everybody who comes into the establishment. Keep up the great work!“

“I first got introduced to this place circa 1958-59! I doubt it is the same ownership but their hotdogs topped off with sliced tomatoes and celery salt brings back memories of my youth-long ago. I still go there every time I visit Chicago.“

I've been to 'em all on the north side - Lerner's, the Ranch,' the Pit, Sammy Skobel's, Wolfy's, Fluky's, Dear Franks', Michaels, Stashes, Mutt and Jeff's, Shmendels, and all of the Irvings. ALL of them. Little Island stands right up there. What they do have that is the best in Cook County are their fries. Best ever. They don't travel well, so have them there. Grilled polish is outstanding. And NEVER, EVER, EVER order a dog or a Polishj with anything red - ketchup OR tomato. Two stars for atmosphere - if that's important to you, go to Portillo's.“

“WOW! This is my new favorite place. The food is absolutely phenomenal and it is so fairly priced. I was blown away by the portions and the incredible flavor. I got the 4pc. catfish meal and a banana pudding and I was so impressed. The person working was also incredibly kind and had a lovely personality. I will definitely be back.“

Big Macs are $6, why pay for that when the burgers here are also $6 and cooked with beef Tallow, and grass-fed beef? It's literally highway robbery! Keep this place alive!
