“I arrived at the restaurant around 3 pm. I was excited to see there were no other customers inside the restaurant. I was politely greeted by the Harold's employee who very patiently answered my questions. After placing my order I stepped aside and prepared myself for a long wait. After a couple of hands of Gin Rummy on my phone, my name was called and my order was ready. It was correct, hot and delicious.

“If you are in Chicago and want to eat Wagyu Steak: This is definitely the correct place!
We enjoyed our visit in this restaurant our waitress supported us by grilling the food and we enjoyed the dinner. Unfortunately I forgot here name, but I will update the comment when I remember her name. She was really very helpful and with great patience as we not understood in the beginning the system.
So for my followers I will explain the process:
Basicly you have two tiers to select: Silver and Gold. The details of the tiers can give your waitress.
You order through a iPad and each person can order 6 different dishes. Be careful the time is limited on 2 hours.
I would suggest to go early to avoid any waiting times.

My ONLY ick is the cut of the ribtip they gave me. I like fat more than lean and my order had mostly end lean pieces.... The prices are decent and they are NOT stingy with the food. “Food was over all nice tasting, service was good too. Bread could have been warmer,. Baklava, fillet mignon kabab entrée and hummus were fresh and delicious. Entrées need homemade sauces and not commercial hot sauce or Sriracha sauce. My tabbouleh had gravels in it, could not eat it.“

“Stopped in yesterday for a late lunch. Small, charming, everything you want a little local spot to be. Welcoming, very nice. Sadly out of brisket at the time (honestly a good sign of really good brisket if they were sold out by 2pm) but he recommended the turkey sandwich.

I've had good smoked turkey before. But I have never had a smoked turkey sandwich this good. Flavor was absolutely on point, texture was tender and juicy. Best turkey I've had in my entire life and I've had some pretty good turkey. Fries were seasoned and fried to perfection. The white sauce was a great complement to the fries and worked well with the sandwich - didn't overpower the turkey flavor but honestly I ate most of the sandwich without sauce, it was that good.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates smoked meat.“

And one of the best BBQ sauces I love.
The rip tips are great.
The ribs are great.
The pulled pork is great.
I love the garlic bread wiith there home BBQ sauce on it.
They use teal.oak wood for the pit to smoke the meat.
I have been going there for 15 years or 16 yesrs, always happy there.
Looks great on the outside and lots of kool antiques decorating the inside.

“I see so many mixed reviews here. My experience was just 06/17/25; I had been wanting to try the Alsip location. I never go right away when a new restaurant opens, I let them get the “kinks” worked out first. Alsip has been open for quite sometime; and I just had my 1st visit 06/17/25. I was greeted immediately ✅; ordered my food as a carry out; very pleasant staff✅; ordered 1 meat, 1 side; when I got home, and ate my food; it was DELICIOUS ✅😋. I asked the manager Nivia Battle (I think that’s what she said) was she required to give me her name. She said no. Her attitude was crappy as well. Just negative energy behind the glass. Except for the cashier. I also told the that they need to improve their customer service and that I WILL BE BACK!! I have no complaints about my order at all. Food was great!!! They just need to get someone back there that’s actually going to do their job without being so nasty.“
