“Good food. I usually hit sushi spots, ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI. I was kind of iffy about trying a new spot for almost 30, but for the new experience I had to try. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Plenty of flavor. Crab Rangoon is good. Might actually be a new spot for me.“

“A long overdue review. Noodlebird is one of the best restaurants in Chicago. Every dish is full-flavored, bold, and made with thoughtful and creative pairings. The smoked tofu is incredible, the curry is my favorite, the peanut noodles are so soft and delicious, and the veggie Mac soup is one of my favorites. “Went to try this place for my 1st time. When I went in I wasn't sure if I was in the right place. They have construction going on inside and there wasn't a name on the building or inside. We placed our orders and the food began arriving...Every single item ordered was hot and fresh. We started with springrolls, they were small and unassuming but we were so wrong. “Got the omakase. The first half was great! Loved the first half. After the second half it was regular foods, simple sushi/nigiri. I was expecting more customization like the first half. At $90 I expected to be wowed the whole time but it definitely got mediocre after the shooters. “04/02/24 - What an awesome add to the neighborhood. Teriyaki Madness is in the mall next to The Smash burger on Foster Ave. It's less than 1/2 mile from my house. I actually sampled their chicken teriyaki @ a Yelp event up in Lake Bluff @ Bernie's Book Bank. Teriyaki Madness has a store up in Gurnee, IL The teriyaki comes in 3 different sizes, Junior, regular or large. I ordered the regular sized chicken teriyaki bowl & it was more than enough for me as I had a little bit of left overs to take home. They have different options like regular or spicy chicken, chicken breast teriyaki, steak teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, tofu teriyaki & chicken katsu. Wry good seasoning w Great options. They also have appetizers like edamame, egg rolls, chicken potstickers & crab Rangoon. I was very pleasantly surprised w/the grilled chicken teriyaki served over brown rice w/veggies like cabbage & broccoli. I really enjoyed my meal & scarfed it down. I will definitely be back to try some of their other items like the steak teriyaki or chicken katsu.“

“Came in for the Mini Beef Bowl and it didn't disappoint. The beef was nicely seasoned and all the ingredients were fresh. Lots of take out business but it was early lunch time when I was there. Will definitely come back to try other options as they sound great.“

“Quiet hole in the wall place. Worth every penny and definitely coming back. Satay chicken was perfect, tender and juicy and the sauce on the side is essentially peanut butter with coconut milk. The Nong Thong were fried extra crispy and are really hot when served, definitely wait a minute before grabbing and it comes with sweet chilli sauce, but the sweet chilli sauce is the stuff you can get at the store. Their salad has a nice light vinaigrette on it. Their Tom Yum soup is sour, threw us off initially and if you get it medium heat, it's really spicy and the spice coats everything. The pineapple fried rice is a really large serving, almost seems likes it's supposed to be shared by the table. Again, medium heat is pretty spicy, but on the pineapple fried rice it's a slow build and it lingers for a long time. “What a lovely marvel - a mid century modern, quietly spacious Chinese restaurant with a select menu that fits in a small, two page flyer. The service was super friendly and gracious, all questions answered. We had a small dim sum lunch and each dish was prepared to order, some of the best I've had - steamed shrimp dumplings, bbq pork bau, sticky rice with pork wrapped in a leaf and steamed. Even the subtle music - beautiful jazz singing - made us happy. I so want to come back to this gem next time I'm in CHI.“

“Great Asian Fusion food at reasonable prices. The restaurant has a big indoor space with lots of seating. Very clean, bright, and cozy place. I got the duck curry, crispy pork belly, and the jerky. All of those food I ordered were solid dishes. Also, the mango sticky rice looked really delicious. But also, don't forget to try some of their sushi and egg rolls. Urbanbelly has super inviting and friendly atmosphere. What more can you ask!“

The curry is good and tastes very much like the mild golden ramen brand Japanese curry that I make at home occasionally. The chicken and broccoli added to the standard rice and carrot/potato curry mixture were of good quality. The Tonkotsu had very good pork, and surprisingly, it included broccoli as well. The more common ramen garnishes of onions, baby bock choy, egg, naruto (fish cake), and seaweed were also in this bowl and tasted good. They have a cheese, steak, and jalapeño egg roll that was amazing, and yes, you should try one. Forbidden Noodles is a great addition to downtown La Grange and for this area, this is a good choice for ramen in the area. “Ajwaah Sweets is a nice sweet shop that has all kinds of desi sweets, snacks, savories, candy and good European pastry selection. They also have warm egg rolls, samosas and puffs. They serve puri halwa on the weekends until around 12 noon. We only tried their ladu’s as we just stopped in after dinner but everything displayed was well organized and looked really delicious. The ladoo’s were super fresh, made with pure ghee and were the best I’ve tasted in a very long time! We’ll be back another time to try other items on an empty stomach. The seafood pancake could be better with the dough, it was too easy to break but I let it pass because it had lot of fillings including squid and onion. “It was a pleasure dining here at 2 Asian Brothers! They have excellent food and also very flavorful! The staff were very kind and courteous and prepared the food as I requested - without cilantro. They also checked to make sure we were satisfied, and I assured them that everything was delicious! I ordered their classic Banh Mi that tasted very fresh and authentic compared to a lot of other Banh Mi places I've tried in Chicago. Their serving is generous and fair. “My favorite item is the burrito with bulgogi steak. It comes with kimchi fried rice, sour cream, cheese, and salad mix. The sauce is super good, and the steak is sweet and tender. The kimchi fried rice has a great mild flavor, not too sour from the kimchi. It's about $17 after tax, which is pricey but worth it when the craving hits. I got the 32oz horchata for $4.50 before, it's a great deal and probably enough for four servings. It came with a lot of nice so if you're storing it for later, you should dump the ice so it doesn't get too watered down. I've only done takeout ordering online on their website and I have no complaints. The food is prepped quickly. There are some seats inside if you care to dine in.“

General Tao’s was great, good rice, and rangoons are house made and ACTUAL lumps of meat instead of the usual whipped crab scented cream cheese you get at other places. A really earthy curry soup with fresh hers and sans coconut milk. Then came the fried chicken and sides. The fried chicken was every by as good as advertised with the nice flavor and my kee go to fried chicken sauce (lime and fresh black pepper). A nicely fried fresh fish followed by a huge ribeye. Closed off with a dulce de leche ice cream.It's been my meal of the year as of June 23. I have told everyone to try to secure the very difficult reservation. Well worth the wait“

“Wow !!! It's hard to find halal korean fried chicken and when i heard bonchon skokie is halal, i just rushed there and tried it for the first time and boy o boy it was delicious, i loved it.
