“Went to Panera in FRG with my 2 kiddos today, and despite my goofy 4 year old acting up, it was one of the best Panera experiences I’ve ever had. The manager on duty (which I regretfully didn’t catch his name) greeted us right when we walked in and asked my son what he felt like eating. He then made sure the cashier gave us complimentary treats. When our food was ready, he walked the food over to our table so I didn’t have to bring both kids up to the counter. One of the other employees cleared our table for us as well. It was full-service amazingness! Thank you!“

“As always our meal was great and the service exemplary. Thomas was our waiter and he is great at explaining the specials and helping us choose the perfect wine. My only complaint about Region is that is is not bigger and thus hard to get into for a spontaneous meal.“

“One of the best breakfast brunch spots around. They forgot one item in my pickup order and the manager called me within 5 minutes. I turned around and came back for the order. They were very apologetic and unnecessarily even gave me a $10 gift card.I feel that if an order goes wrong and the business figures it out first and deals with it, there is no fault. The manager at this location is top notch and this place will always be on top of my list for ordering brunch!“

“My husband discovered this restaurant has an entirely gluten-free menu and is farm-to-table. The offerings were so good! On our first visit, we began with the charcuterie board and bruschetta, then two of us had a scallop special, and my son had the flat iron steak. All the bread was fresh and excellent--not "for being GF" but just plain good. The dessert choices were interesting and my husband had the lemon poppy seed cake with a lemon sauce. And the wine list was phenomenal! A fun mix of specialty cocktails, too!We have returned multiple times and had consistently good food and service. The menu evolves to incorporate seasonal items.“

“We visited on Monday for brunch, so no waiting & super fast service, but this probably varies depending on when you visit. But the menu was extraordinary! Great selection of breakfast, brunch, and lunch items. We tried 2 skillets, both plentiful and full of flavor. The pancakes, sometimes an afterthought at restaurants, were especially delicious! Definitely worth many more visits!! Great find!!“

“Beautiful & delicious gem in Downtown Algonquin.This is truly one of the BEST ice cream I have ever had. The atmosphere is nice. There is a little stage with instruments. If you are a musician the owner will let you play. There is a patio too if you prefer to sit outside. The service was very welcoming and polite. I will definitely be back for more ice cream!We had the non dairy- blueberry and also the Cookies and cream, both were fantastic!“

“The BEST frozen pizza out there based on my 68-years' experience. The rim of the crust is a warm, crumbly, "cookie" that is transformative! Impossible not to devour the entire pie. And hats off to management: the pizza was cleverly and attentively wrapped and boxed with smart instructions. That was appreciated.“

“Jude's has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Crystal Lake. I love the variety of internationally inspired options and the size of the plates is perfect. I brought a very large group of ladies there for Black Friday, everyone has particular tastes and was able to find something they liked. They have a very trendy area in the back with a huge couch/bench for larger parties which was so comfortable. To top it off, the staff are always kind and accommodating during our visits!“

“My waiter was good and friendly. I sat in covered patio. I ordered a spring salad with shrimp. blackberries, grapefruit, candied pecans, arugula and berry vinaigrette and a side of Mac n cheese. The salad was missing the pecans but I forgot until I left, I thought something was missing. However, the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The ratio of shrimp to half portion was good. Mac N Cheese was ok. Noodles were undercooked and some still hard/crunchy edges and cheese sauce was just average and a bit gritty/thick. However, I was not expecting my meal to be served with plastic wrapped plastic utensils. a take home box for salad and a take home container for dining in. That was disappointing. the table of eight next to me was a bit shocked too to get their meals in to go cardboard containers.“

“My kids and I love this place! It’s the only place in town where my dairy free family has zero issues eating great food. It makes my life so easy! Plus, the outdoor seating is perfectly situated so that toddlers can eat and watch trains…it’s perfect for us! The food is great! The staff is just awesome! We’re big big fans and will be. “I met my parents here the other day as we both traveled some distance to meet up. This restaurant was absolutely wonderful atmosphere, small & quiet when we were there. I believe we had their lunch menu, and I ordered the Capellini pasta, my dad got Eggplant Parmesan, and my mom got the Italian Beef. Unfortunately I would suggest the entire staff of the restaurant needs to eat that same sandwich my mom ordered. She said it was dry & had no flavor, as if they boiled the fatty meat in plain water and threw it onto a crispy piece of bread. Thankfully she said something(my mom has never sent food back my entire life and I’m in my 20’s she’s in her 60’s) so for her to ask it to be removed from the bill just shows how gross it was.Our server was WONDERFUL, and of course she took it off the bill, and encouraged my mom to order another dish. She settled on the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. She was throughly pleased with that dish, so it all ended well.The restaurant seemed cleaned and well managed other than maybe their Italian beef haha.Advice for future customers, don’t order their beef unless they change their recipe.Advice for the restaurant, PLEASE have a tasting going on for your staff members. The person who creates/created the recipes and cooks them needs to allow constructive criticism/feedback on their dishes. “I didn't know so I want you to know! We were searching for a place to hold our funeral luncheon. We needing something McHenry local, good food, and could accomodate us on short notice. BuddyZ answered the call. They had a banquet room in the back with access to the patio. We had the pizza, salad, chicken fingers, mostaccioli bar. The food was brought out as soon as we arrived. There were tables of varied heights which accomodated our entire family. Carrie, Caitlyn & Kirsty were so friendly, professional and attentive.Thank you all for being there for our family when we needed you.“

“If I can give this bakery 10 stars I would. We ordered two birthday cakes/pastries here for my daughter's birthday. My sister in law loves ordering here for her party and that was when I tried their cakes and oh my goodness, It was one of the best cake I have ever had. Its a little pricey but Its so worth it. My whole family enjoyed it when I served the cake for my daughter's birthday. I will definitely be back. Highly recommend this bakery for quality and taste.“

The staff provides just the right amount of attention, and the owner (manager?) was overlooking the dining room, checking for any requests between the waitresses' visits. We were very pleased with the food - delicious brie puffs and hot goat cheese with toasted bread disappeared in a minute, and all our entres were very good - both vegetarian and meat. Everything was fresh, well made, and appealingly presented. Mixed drinks were amazing and very well presented, too. I am not going to suggest o do anything about curb appeal mentioned in other reviews (which is non-existent) and bar area that is a bit creepy, because it looks like it works for them and they have enough customers already. Plus, if they have a better curb appeal, maybe we won't get a table next time, which eould be a bummer - cause we are definitely coming back!“

“Definitely check this place out! My boyfriend and I got seated upstairs with a window view. It was nice looking out at Crystal lakes town. The food was great! Everything was very delicious and would get again besides my boyfriends salad was only okay. I like that they do punch cards for vegan and vegetarian dishes. “Southern Belle's is a really good restaurant. The service is top-notch. The food is cooked fresh. The Southern Belles skillet is by far my favorite breakfast dish. My wife enjoys the Pesto Egg Benedict. Super fresh and yummy. Also the Pancakes are huge, buttery and the house syrup is excellent. Their mixed drinks, brewed drinks and mimosa's are pretty great and well worth it. I had the Chi Tea ice latte and it was fantastic. The price is good.My wife and I have enjoyed Brunch Cafe and Maple n Syrup. But Southern Belle's is by far our favorite place for breakfast. “We ordered chicken pad thai (spicy, extra sauce) and chicken pho to go on Friday. Food was ready within 15 minutes, and everything tasted very good. The chicken pho (which I've never had before) broth was very flavorful, and there was a good assortment of toppings. Were happy to have a solid Thai and Vietnamese spot so close to our grocery store (Woodman's)“
