“This is some of the very best ramen I have ever had. And it's in my backyard!! After spending 2 weeks working on Los Angeles and going to ramen places every day, I fell in love with ramen in a way that found its way to the core of my heart. In the Chicago land area, for years, there was really only 2 places that were amazing. And to be honest, better than the places in LA. But then Tatsu opened and my wife and I were judgemental at first.... Until we ate it. The ramen is un-freaking-believably amazingly mouth watering and the service of the staff is just so welcoming and warm and real. I never feel rushed even when the place is packed (I'm looking at you Saturday nights). I feel like they want me here. And I'm happy to be so. Tatsu has become my absolute favorite ramen place to go to.

I'm actually nervous about going to Japan this year because of all the ramen shops we already have lined up to visit .. but something in me is screaming that when I get home to Elgin I will be welcomed with my favorite Spicy Garlic Tonkatsu waiting for me.

“We went to Woodfire for my birthday. The food and service is excellent. Vicki was our server and she was very friendly and attentive. The food is so fresh and homemade. The pizza crust is crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. There is an assortment of types of pizza, but the cheese pizza is the best I’ve ever had. The pasta is rich and delicious. It’s cooked perfectly and the vodka sauce is amazing. The appetizers, home brewed beer, and desserts are phenomenal too. Step aside Coopers Hawk, I have a new favorite restaurant!“

She recommended the monthly special called “Moonstruck” and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The ambience, service and food is unmatched! The server that we have was excellent in the atmosphere was spot on. They have Booth seating you can sit at the bar or you can sit in front of the hibachi grill and hopefully your eyebrows don't get singed lolol the cooks put on a show so there is a little bit of flame involved. We were sitting at least 10 ft away from one of those grills and felt the heat I am surprised that people have their little children very close to that fire from the grill
But other than that everything was excellent and will be coming back very soon“
