“This place is definitely a cool place with good atmosphere, good service amd good food.. only reason for my 4 star is the fact that they add a delivery charge to the bill for bringing your food out.. not sure why thats really necessary when there the only ones who charge it. “My first visit to Inovasi and it did not disappoint! Our server Lucia was fantastic- knowledgeable friendly and she helped me find just the right cocktail! We started with their delicious bread, and then had the crispy pork belly for appetizer. For entree we had a filet with shaved truffles and a blackened cod with lime and whipped edamame. Both were superb as was the dessert of flourless chocolate cake with raspberry purée and shipped goats cheese, and a pumpkin cheesecake. All was delicious, and the ambiance and decor was warm and inviting. We will be back!”

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere and music set the perfect vibe, and the lovely gentleman who always serves me makes every visit feel welcoming and personal. I recently discovered this location and I’m already in love—this is my second visit just this week.

You must try the honey garlic chicken (it’s incredible), unless something else on their impressive 10-sauce menu catches your eye—honestly, you can’t go wrong. Everything I’ve had has been fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked.

I truly hope to enjoy this spot for a very long time. Do yourself a favor and stop by to support this fantastic Korean restaurant. Highly recommended!”

“We came to Sophia Steak for our anniversary and had a great server- Carol. She took care to help me with my dietary needs and made the meal so special. “After a few hours at Volo Auto Museum we decided to explore the area and head over to the lake. Driving through Waukegan, we stopped into Papa Marcos Grill and Kabob.\n\nWhat a gem. We stepped up near the counter to read the menu and soon enough it was our turn to order. We started chatting with the owner's wife and she is so nice and so friendly. Offered recommendations and we settled on our choices. Fried mushrooms to start and I ordered the Vegetarian plate, with Falafel, rice stuffed grape leaves and rice. Mr. Bee had the lamb plate. The mushrooms were amazing, nice and crunchy without being greasy. Both of us loved our plates and the fresh naan bread. Our lunch even came with two small pieces of Baklava that was perfect. The best Baklava we ever had was actually in Greece and this one was right up there with it.\n\nThe food is fresh and light and delicious. From the front of the restaurant you don't expect much, but once inside you feel if you are stepping into Greece with excellent Mediterranean food.\n\nWhat a treasure!”

“Highly recommend trying Merienda’s. I went there based on a recommendation from a friend. Loved the vibe, mom/pop, cute restaurant, with a lot of delicious options. Tried the spicy shrimp with garlic rice, pancit, ube latte with oat milk, pink calamansi lemonade, & mango cheesecake. Delicious! Will definitely go back to try other dishes. Very reasonably priced for the portion size. The guy at the register was friendly & enthusiastic with helping us select our entree.”

“Hidden in plain sight in Lake Villa, this Italian restaurant is the kind of unassuming neighborhood gem critics quietly root for. It isn’t flashy, it isn’t loud, and it doesn’t pretend to be anything other than what it is: a place that consistently serves excellent food at fair prices. In the Lakes region—where Italian options can feel uneven—this spot rises confidently to the top. On my most recent visit, I was seated immediately at a corner table, a small but meaningful luxury in an age of hour-long waits. The dining room, typically hushed enough for actual conversation, again delivered one of its underrated pleasures: a peaceful meal without the intrusive din that plagues so many suburban restaurants. Service followed suit—friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help, never hovering or rushing. The kitchen remains the star. My spaghetti with vodka sauce was outstanding—rich, balanced, and among the best renditions I’ve had anywhere in the region. Other entrées at the table echoed the same strengths: sauces with clarity and depth, pastas cooked with confident restraint, portions generous without tipping into excess. Cocktails, too, arrived promptly and properly mixed, further reinforcing the sense of a kitchen-and-bar team that takes pride in their craft. If there is a shortfall, it lies in the ambiance. The room carries a certain charm, but the décor feels a step behind the quality of the food. A refresh of tables, finishes, and overall presentation would elevate the experience from very good to genuinely special. The warmth is there—the aesthetics simply haven’t caught up yet. Even so, the value proposition is undeniable. For reliably excellent Italian cuisine, low noise, easy seating, earnest service, and honest pricing, this restaurant more than earns its “highly recommended” status. It is, in every meaningful way, Lake Villa’s little culinary treasure.”
