“Wow. A great experience. Initially coming in we had to wait about 10 minutes past our reservation as student hostess learned check in process. Upon seating we were greeted promptly. Drink orders taken timely and completed correctly. A nice appetizer from head chef. Meal was vegetarian and absolutely full of flavor. Portions were just right. Mushroom Wellington - WOW. Exceptional. Great wine selections. Desert - a small fruit cup using marshmallow, peanut brittle and ritz crackers. Sounds weird - again - amazing flavors!!! A great experience. Student staff were calm, pleasant, happy to chat , very organized and thoughtful. Hostess checked in with us to make sure all was well. Exceptional salad and dressing. Worth it!!“

“After a week of travel for this Mom, the last thing I wanted to do was to make dinner. This isn't the first time we've been to Glen Prairie and I knew it was just the place I wanted to go. The atmosphere is warm, but quiet. Perfect for a good family catchup. The food is comforting without being too heavy and the wine, beer and cocktail selection is the perfect pairing. We've had the pleasure of being served by Anna a few times now and she does a great job. She is attentive and watchful, without being overbearing which is a difficult skill to master for a lot of servers. Aside from that, I love that it is a safe place for folks with food allergies and I feel very well taken care of in respect to that issue. I can tell that everyone from the hosts to the servers to the bartenders to the kitchen staff are very well trained in creating a safe and welcoming experience for each guest. Glen Prairie is quickly becoming one of our go to family favorite restaurants and we will definitely be back!“

“There are two dining areas in the CHC. Both of the previous reviews concern the Waterleaf--a more formal dining area. This review is about the quick-serve facility--Wheat Cafe. Like the Waterleaf this is a student-run/chef supervised operation. Cheap eats! Beautiful food! During my visit, I had the Fried Chicken Sandwich with Jalapeno-spiked Slaw and skinny skinny crispy crispy french fries. Wow! $5! One of my friends had the Texas Breakfast Wrap--$3. Another good value, but not as well presented as my sandwich. Another friend had the caramel chocolate tart--it was all I could do to not push her aside and eat it all by myself. Only $3! You order at a counter where you receive your beverage and then go into a small dining room, which was clean and bright. Since food is being cooked to order there is a small, but easy, wait. The wait person was a little over-zealous about plate pick-up, but it was opening day and we were one of the first customers. “We had an event at Nobel House on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was great and the food was out of this world. We had about 40 people and many told me how much they liked the food , atmosphere and service. Thanks to everyone there for making it great.“

“I have been coming here for years and would have recommended it until tonight. I walked in and was told that they are too busy to take my order!! WTF!?!? Isn't that a good problem to have? Suck it up, that is part of the business!! I have never in all my life been turned away from a restaurant for such a stupid reason. They didn't even know what I was going to order, which was only a gyro and only taken a couple minutes to make. Not very professional, nor a good way to treat a customer....“

“My granddaughter loves coming here, we all get cheeseburgers, she rides the horse and loves watching the train going round and round by our table. The finale of a delicious cupcake with a train whistle makes her day complete.

“Yesterday I stopped at Reserve 22 in Glen Ellyn. I have been here before, and as always, the food was OUTSTANDING! I chose the chefs special for Thursday – FRIED CHICKEN. There aren’t too many places that make GOOD Fried Chicken these days, BUT I WAS PROVEN WRONG! Chef Tom’s Fried Chicken sounded like how my mom used to make it. When the plate arrived, I was greeted with some of the best chicken I have seen in, will… since my mother made it. There; in front of me, on top of a huge portion of REAL mashed potatoes were four pieces of golden-brown chicken (thigh, breast, wing, and leg) with gravy on the side and large portion of coleslaw. The first bite of Chef Tom’s chicken brought back a flood of childhood memories. If I didn’t know I was in a restaurant, I would have sworn I was sitting at my mom’s kitchen table on a Sunday afternoon. THIS WAS MY MOTHERS’ CHICKEN! Beautifully golden brown, that first crunch as you bit into the piping hot moist chicken. No lie, I had to just savor the moment. My search for the 2nd best chicken in the world (sorry, no one can beat moms’) was over. The potatoes, slaw and gravy were the Crème de la Crème of this meal! This whole meal reminded me of my childhood, Sundays after church and moms’ cooking. This is the BEST HOME COOKED MEAL YOU WILL FIND ANYWHERE! I did have to take a doggie bag home. But trust me, I enjoyed the rest of the chicken that night. I have had the opportunity to enjoy Chef Tom’s meals a few times. I have NEVER been disappointed – EVER! Of course, the service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing at Reserve 22. If you haven’t had the chance or opportunity to dine at Reserve 22 MAKE IT A MUST! You will put it on your list of places to return to – OFTEN. The Easter menu looked unbelievable too. If you are looking for a place to have Easter dinner, I HIGHLY recommend Reserve 22.
