“Sushi City is by far my favorite sushi restaurant. I have been coming here for years and the place only has gotten better. They just completed their third remodel. Now the restaurant has a super sleek and modern aesthetic. They also increased the number of booth seats they have.

This is an all you can eat (AYCE) sushi restaurant and their selection is huge. You get the usual appetizers, nigiri, and basic maki rolls that you would expect from a AYCE sushi restaurant, but this place gives you more! They have always allowed you to order their specialty rolls (their best roll being the torched dragon roll), but they recently added carpaccio plates, ramen, and dessert. Their prices have gone up over time, but I still consider them a great value for everything that they offer you.

And it is not just about quantity and variety. This restaurant upholds its quality. Other AYCE sushi restaurants give you lower quality fish and hide it by smothering it under lots of heavy sauces. But at Sushi City you can taste the quality of their fish (just order a salmon or tuna nigiri and taste how fresh it is).

The wait staff also is amazing. They are super prompt with everything. This place used to have a robot that served the appetizers. It was a fun novelty. The robot disappeared after the last renovation. Hopefully it will come back some day..

I hesitated to write this review since my home town is Downers Grove and this place is pretty well known to those in DG. However, you should know this place is amazing. The evidence of this is that it is the only surviving store front on that side of the strip mall they are located and another AYCE sushi restaurant (that is a fairly well known chain) that used to compete with them on 75th street closed down awhile ago. I love it at Sushi City and hopefully you will too.“

“I have been coming to Moonsun 15+ years, watching it change ownership a few different times. The current owners are absolutely the best. They're so sweet, attentive to their customers, they hire great servers, and the QUALITY of the food is amazing every single time. We almost exclusively order sushi, though we have tried other things such as their fried rice, Pad Thai, and chicken dishes. While I don't love those dishes AS much, the sushi is 100% the best quality and taste. I used to live in the city and tried some very high end sushi spots and Moonsun would compete with them or, even, surpass them! I cannot express how fresh and high quality everything is, the rice to maki ratio is perfect, and the sushi rice itself is perfect. It's light, never clumpy, just the right flavor.

Some of my favorite rolls: Lemon Salmon, Lobster Mango, Brandy's, Jenny's, Chicago Fire, the Super Scallop, the Futo. It really doesn't matter, to be honest, they're all delicious.

I highly recommend Moonsun -- it's the best sushi in the area, hands down.“

“Great food, great experience! They charge by the plate. You take a plate of your favorite foods off the conveyor belt, and dispose of the plates in a reciprocal on your table. Plates are counted and that's how you are charged. Really inexpensive, and delicious high quality food.

“The food was great, and so was the service. My only complaint is the size of the $18 salmon roll. It was tiny. I understand that having two types of salmon in the roll increases the price, but for its size it should only be $12-14. Very tasty, but I did not want to spend $40 to eat two rolls at lunch time. Had it been $4 cheaper, I would have happily spent $30 on two rolls.“

Most places one or 2 things is ok but yet all around never really hit the mark well this place is different! Quality ingredients and the chef properly using his amazing knife skills they really show off on the sashimi!! Somethings as simple as the spicy tuna roll and miso soup just done perfect!!
