“We were so excited to have found this new place for yummy sushi poke bowl! We adore that modernized look of the restaurant and there are a lot of variety of poke bowls to choose from. My boys like the mushroom and California rolls sushi while I enjoyed the spicy hot fish poke bowl a lot. The staff and owner were super friendly and nice. The place was stylish, neat and clean. The sashimi was fresh and delicious! The food was served fast and the price was reasonable too. We are definitely coming back!”

“My husband and I are visiting from Arizona and were meeting some friends in The Glen. We planned on going to The Yardhouse, but thought it was too noisy. Saw the reviews for The Oak and we were so glad we did. The burger I had was the best burger I have ever had, our friend felt the same. My husband and our other friend had the rueben, they loved them also. We left the restaurant and we were going to take individual pics, then this really nice guy offered to take a picture of all of us. He was so very nice. Guess what, he was the owner. We will definitely be back on our next visit here and our friends will be back sooner. Great food!!!!”

Quesadilla was hot fresh and tasted great good cheese to chicken ratio. Salsa was watery so I feel like it didn't pair well with the quesadilla, more like a hot sauce.”

“Brought the family in tonight as I had been wanting to try since they opened last year. Glad they have valet because the parking lot is tight. They accommodated myself, my partner and 3 children easily at a nicely set table. Water glasses were a bit strange (like votives) but I'm in the Industry so I notice things like that. The ambiance was nice. Loud boisterous and didn't feel out of place with the kids so that was nice. Service was fantastic! Leo was our server and he was attentive, knowledgable and pleasant with the kids. His Server Assistant was equally as attentive so I'll shout out to them because they often get overlooked on the importance of how they make service flow. I wish I had asked his name. Even the food runner was personable as he brought out our dishes. I had the filet which was great, along with the asparagus. Loved the red wine sauce. Tried the zucchini fries- excellent. Meatballs eh, kids food eh, broccolini was undercooked, too thick for my liking (and I love broccolini) with a pesto sauce on there that I think goes better on a pasta rather than a green vegetable. They should reconsider that one. My partner had a NY I believe with kale and garlic confit- which was excellent. He loved the steak, I loved the kale and the confit.”

I don’t do valet often, but seemed a little weird that they only hold the door open for the driver, not the lady. Little awkward having them hold the door open for me, while I walked her around to the passenger side to open, then back to my door where the valet was waiting. Is this normal?? They also did not open for her when we arrived. Maybe for efficiency since it gets backed up there often?”

I must have called 6 times changing the number of people and requesting a round table and they were so patient and accommodating. I'm sorry I don't remember the names I spoke with on the phone but they were wonderful. Our server Miguel was great, we wanted for nothing and the room we were in was outstanding. We all had an excellent time I could not have been happier!!”

“I went to dinner here with friends last night. I used to live in The Glen, and since I still live only about ten minutes away, I have been coming here regularly for more than ten years.
Everything was great, but the ribeye I ordered medium came out well-done. I sent it back, and the manager, Kaitlyn, came over, apologized, and had it remade. Unfortunately, the second steak was also not cooked to the correct temperature. I honestly felt bad and was willing to just eat it, even though it was not my fault, but Kaitlyn insisted on having it made again correctly.
I was truly impressed by the service. Mistakes can happen, but what really matters is how a restaurant responds and makes an effort to take care of its guests. Kaitlyn handled the situation professionally and genuinely wanted to make sure I was satisfied.
A special thank-you to Kaitlyn and our server, Sara, for their outstanding service. I have been coming here for over ten years, but I do not think I have ever been this impressed by the level of care and hospitality. Truly excellent service.”

This was our first time eating out with our baby (also our first) and she made us feel right at home. Grabbed a high chair before we could ask!

The menu has several delicious options. We chose some sushi rolls, a tonkatsu dinner, and with a tempura appetizer. Everything was delicious…everything. The shrimp was cooked to perfection in the tempura, the sushi was excellent, and the tonkatsu entree reminded me of traveling through Japan. The whole experience reminded me of Japan. I felt like I had shifted locations for an hour as we sat in their cozy dining room brimming with Japanese decor.

A wonderful experience that makes me want to come back for more. Make sure you experience this little gem.”

“This place is one of the best restaurants I've been to in the northern suburbs, it's hard to find good Sichuan style Chinese food but this place has it. I got the twice cooked chili fish was my favorite dish, the Mongolian beef had thick cuts of tender beef and seafood garlic fried rice was full of shrimp scallops mussels and fish. The menu has so much to choose from, I look forward to visiting again”

“I had never heard of this chain before. I love it. I especially loved their lunch pizza made with.. what is it.. puff pastry-ish crust! Amazing. They have lots of unique baked goods, take and go style items, unique drinks and other offerings. A colorful array of visual delights to boggle the mind and tempt the tastebuds. Perfect any time. “Went today for 1st time as this used to be another Korean restaurant called The Gangnam. It's a self serve style layout where you order at the counter, pick up and clear your own table. I would say it is priced into the food as it seems to be cheaper than similar places with a wait staff. I also appreciated the self service filtered water machine. The lunch specials are reasonable with soup or salad included. The chicken teriyaki was very good and the bulgogi was good but there were some pieces that were too tough to chew and swallow. I'll try some more dishes in the future as they do have a variety of Korean dishes.”
