“Hubby and l are trying different restaurants located near our home.
The restaurant opened in 1960. It has a large bar and local crowd in the Godfrey area. Everyone was welcoming and kind. It appeared to be one waitress, and she was a super server. In my opinion, she earned her 25% as she changed the TV to tennis, so my 71-year-old husband would sit down?
I also like the help yourself shelf with carry out containers, condiments, and utensils. Thanks for the inviting atmospher??❤️“

“The food is amazing. Weve tried nearly everything on the menu and it has yet to disappoint. The weekly specials that are off menu have also been really good. The small patio typically houses a small band. The inside is nice and quiet. The wait staff is really knowledgeable and very kind. The food is made to order. “I wish I could say something good about today's visit to Castelli's... ●Always a highlight when we want to go out to dinner and drive the hour it takes to get there... Their fried chicken has always been a delight to look forward to... But today's experience was a big disappointment... The chicken prices have gone up and the chicken piece sizes have gone down... The dark chicken pieces I received were Lilliputian in size... I thought a mistake had been made, for when I saw my drumstick, I thought they were part of a wing.... I asked the waitress ( More on her later) about the small size and she agreed it was small and she would bring me 2 more.... I had finished with my meal by the time the extra drumsticks arrived, so I took them home.... The drum sticks that I took home were no bigger than the ones I was served at the restaurant... Once home, I measured the drumsticks and they were each less than 4 inches long ... The service was very sub par.... Never were we asked for our water to be refilled.... And not until the end of the meal did she ask to refill our other beverages... Like I said, Very disappointed today... It will be awhile before I darken their door again....“
“This is a perfect good ol'tavern. Exactly what I like if I go to have a drink. Bartender s are great, atmosphere is fun and friendly, it's a cheers for the motorcycle club and friends. Always a good time. Sam and Woody are not serving you it Missy, Michelle, or as they call Cheyenne " the new girl" you can't go wrong with any of the three. And if you are lucky enough to run into Elliot or some other regular faces, you have a great day ahead!“

“The atmosphere was accommodating to each individual preference...one side quiet and open with slot machines, while the other side was poppin'. They offered karaoke and the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves quite well. The bartender Scott was on point and very polite. All in all good place to go to with friends or a significant other!“

“We had lunch today at The Refinery Bar & Grill and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, as well as the atmosphere. The waitress was pleasant and the food came out promptly. It was our first visit because we don’t live in the area, but we’ll spread the word and visit again when we return to the area to see family. ?“

“I've stopped in here a few times since I live just down the road from it. The times I've gone in, it wasn't too busy, but they tell me they have a good time on a Saturday night. It's really not your best bet if you want food. They serve your basic frozen pizzas and the like, but nothing remarkable. Sammi's Subs, next door, is another story though. EXCELLENT sandwiches (but they aren't open late). Like another reviewer said, I think Norb's is a great dive-bar with some pool tables and darts. Probably the most fun if you bring a friend or two, and preferably ones who like to play pool or darts. I believe they were cash only at the bar, and they didn't really have a lot of drink specials when I went. So bring cash.“
