This particular day, however, I had time to kill, & a little voice kept saying, "Do something for YOU."I had just stopped in at a grocery store nearby to see if they had something my parents enjoy but can't get at the location near where they live - but it's apparently been discontinued altogether.I got out to my vehicle, feeling disappointed, and still had 45 minutes until I was due to arrive at another appointment 6 to 8 minutes away. That's when I spotted the DQ. I said to myself, "Go in, get yourself something tasty, and sit & enjoy it here! You deserve it!"I got inside, and the first thing I saw was the featured Blizzard flavor: Snickerdoodle Cookie Dough. Snickerdoodles are my favorite cookie, and that further convinced me that I was supposed to stop there.The young lady who took my order was really nice, and she had my Blizzard was ready right away... And it was HEAVENLY!When I finished, I was then feeling guilty for treating myself, and since I happened to have a cooler with dry ice in my vehicle, I bought my hubby a box of Cherry Dilly Bars. He's only been talking about them for YEARS. ? The young lady who rang them up for me was every bit as nice as the first, and I left there incredibly happy. It did kick up my reflux, & I knew it would going into it... cinnamon. ??♀️ The temporary burning in my chest was SO worth it, though!Parking: Behind the store, ample parking spacesKid-friendliness: It's a Dairy Queen... Of course it's kid-friendly!Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking available, easy access, plenty of space to navigate a wheelchair or walker.“
“I just love this place. Coldest ice cream in town. Doesn't melt all over you before you can eat it! Young people working it every day and doing a great job.Fantastic flavors.I recommend this place to everyone! And they priced are reasonable. I love this place. Wish they didn't close in the fall.Parking: Not a big parking lot. But we always seen to find a place. “So every time I have ever come by this place it's packed so this one day I try my luck and let's just say I was not disappointed not knowing what all the served the guy there was patient with me, my ice cream.and food was ready in no time the chicken special is what I got I can say they need more chicken less flour some people really forget it's about the chicken not the flour but overall I loved and enjoyed myself“
“Shivers is an amazing local staple, I have never had a bad experience here. My personal favorite items are the Italian cream sodas, the cows (specifically root beer), and of course the concretes (I like vanilla with marshmallow fluff, banana, and sprinkles.)“
