“My brother is terminally ill. One of two things on his bucket list were to 1) go deep sea fishing - which can’t happen, and 2) try Gooey Buttercake Ice Cream. After running everywhere yesterday to try to find it, with no luck, as a last ditch effort I went in to Annie’s. They did not have it on the menu but Emily (the owner) was so considerate when she heard what was happening that she decided to attempt to make it on her own for me to pick up today. She told me everyone said it was delicious who tried it. Unfortunately, my brother will likely not be able to taste it as he is relatively unresponsive within a very short 24 hour period. The service, the support, them going above and beyond from what I could have ever dreamed of is absolutely beyond words. I’m sure Tom would have loved it. Thank you, Emily! There are still angels on this earth. And my daughter is absolutely addicted to your custard, and has been for four years!“

“We are from Ohio, the Columbus area. Passing thru on a work/vacation trip and wanted desert after have dinner. Found Uptown Scoops on a quick search for ice cream in the Collinsville area, just a slight detour on drive back to Hotel. Collinsville is a small community with what appears to be a vibrant and alive Uptown area. We enjoyed the experience and loved the sundaes we purchased. Really liked the fact that there are quite a few things for the children to play with while the adults enjoy the treats and conversation. Keep on keeping on. We will definitely stop again if we are in the St. Louis area.“

“The Collinsville Dairy Freeze is a community staple. The owners and staff are friendly and efficient. If you haven’t yet had their orange sherbet, it’s the best (possibly the best in the world!).“

“The ice cream is very good, but...don't plan on any "naughty" flavors at the Edwardsville store, probably ever. That aspect is very disappointing. Service is great, atmosphere good. The owners should be up-front and post "no boozy flavors" on the Edwardsville website, not just a sign inside (after you're already inside the store). “wish there was a maybe recomemd button.. Same teen boy every time we visit, and unfortunately, the same issue each time. Our first visit, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and received a BLT. On the second visit, I specifically ordered a bacon cheeseburger plain — only bacon and cheese — but by my third bite, it was full of ketchup, mustard, and pickles. Today was our third visit, and I ordered two chili dogs with no cheese (I even repeated it twice). Yet both came out covered in cheese. This could be serious if someone was not able to have something or allergic. The first time, I thought maybe he was new. The second time, I was having a rough day and tried to laugh it off. But this time, we were on a time crunch, and having to wait for the order to be remade was really frustrating. I truly don’t like to complain because the food itself is great — the strawberry milkshakes and ice cream are amazing, and the rest of the menu is usually really good. But the service has been consistently poor every time we’ve come. It’s hard to believe ours is the only order that’s been rung up wrong. Either this young man needs more training, shouldn’t be on the register, or maybe just isn’t a good fit for that position. We’ve never been offered a refund, a remake without the wait, or even an apology — and that’s disappointing for an otherwise great place.“

“The lines were long but we got through very fast. It was worth the wait. My relatives who we were visiting took us there. It was nostalgic looking and we were impressed by the shear number of people who were there during our visit. I can just imagine what it would look like on am extremely warm evening.“

“Visited to dine in yesterday and was pleased with both the speed and accuracy of service. Absolutely nothing wrong with our order, which is kind of a rarity these days. This location was very attentive when my wife said the could not have the dairy or glutton. The offered to change their gloves and clean off the equipment that would have come into contact with other allergens. This left an impression with my wife.“

“Great service! I love going to Freddy's and each location I been to has been such wonderful and caring service. Funny enough I go here to get their grilled chicken without mayo cause I am losing weight and grilled chicken is relatively healthy. They are one of the very few fast food places to has grilled chicken sandwiches. 🩵“

“We live in the Glen Carbon and this is by far the best DQ in the area! Management and staff are wonderful and food is always good!“

“I've been to this location a handful of times and have had a great experience with the food and service every time but the wait time could be improved on. Each time I've visited it always seems to take twice as long as you would anticipate.

With that being said though, it has always been worth the wait because the food and service from the employees has been well above my expectations. The employees are super friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. Definitely recommend this location.“
