Honestly, it was just a burger, but the crinkle fries were hot and crisp and salty, and the cheese curds were zesty and fresh. Best part of this place was friendliness of staff. After being in Wisconsin and Chicago, it was nice to finally be in an area where people are nice and actually respond to you when you say something! Big difference between northern and southern Illinois. We felt like we were getting closer to home (Texas).“

“When we've been there the service is always good and the staff friendly. The food is good. I especially like their grilled chicken club with fries. Their frozen custard is pretty good but I really enjoyed their banana shake. They have a good mix of Dr Pepper on the soda fountain most of the time.“

“The ice cream is very good, but...don't plan on any "naughty" flavors at the Edwardsville store, probably ever. That aspect is very disappointing. Service is great, atmosphere good. The owners should be up-front and post "no boozy flavors" on the Edwardsville website, not just a sign inside (after you're already inside the store). The ice cream was very tasty, but I was craving something "special".“

“This has to be the smoothest creamiest ice cream I have had. Everything is fresh at this one of a kind shop. The lady at the drive through window was really nice. I got a small strawberry banana sundae and it was fully loaded with whole fresh fruit. I could not stop myself from eating it all before taking a picture. They give you a sizable portion as well.

Note: They only take cash so be prepared.

And, if your car sits low to the ground go through the drive through, avoid the side parking lot as there is a sizable divot where there is road access.“

You can really tell the owner takes pride in the store and cares about the quality and customer experience. My favorite drink here is the green tea mango boba. It’s refreshing and full of flavor. I definitely recommend giving it a try if you like fruity drinks. I’ll definitely be coming back.“

After running everywhere yesterday to try to find it, with no luck, as a last ditch effort I went in to Annie’s. They did not have it on the menu but Emily (the owner) was so considerate when she heard what was happening that she decided to attempt to make it on her own for me to pick up today. “Ice Cream Heaven is a cute, little family-run ice cream stand on the east end of Belleville.  Perfect spot for a quick ice cream snack, or even your bulgogi needs!  My last visit was on Father's Day 2025- it's my grandpa's favorite ice cream spot.  To me, it's exactly what an ice cream stand should feel like- there's seating, decent prices, and lots of variety.  I like popping by after a game of softball on a summer night.

Only complaint is their very tight parking lot.  If you're close enough, I suggest walking.  On Father's Day, there were lots of customers and my family witnessed someone backing into another car when trying to leave.  This isn't anything on the business, but just something to be award of if you plan on going on a busy day.

“I went into Baskin-Robbins expecting, you know… a normal scoop. Maybe a lil cup. A casual vibe. Instead, these absolute legends said “nah” and casually disappeared to the back like they were about to perform surgery—only to return with a FRESH BUCKET of ice cream like they had just churned it with love, dedication, and possibly magic.
