Their frozen custard is pretty good but I really enjoyed their banana shake. They have a good mix of Dr Pepper on the soda fountain most of the time.“

“We stopped on our way from WI to TX to see what all the fuss was about. A butter burger sounded mouth-wateringly delicious. Honestly, it was just a burger, but the crinkle fries were hot and crisp and salty, and the cheese curds were zesty and fresh. And I got a mini flavor of the day frozen custard, b/c apparently frozen custard is a big deal up here, and when in Rome… anyway it was scrumptious and I wanted to lick the cup clean.

Best part of this place was friendliness of staff. After being in Wisconsin and Chicago, it was nice to finally be in an area where people are nice and actually respond to you when you say something! Big difference between northern and southern Illinois. We felt like we were getting closer to home (Texas).“

“Went in today (6/24) around 2pm and had the most delightful experience I’ve ever had at any fast food store. The manager was direct and efficient, did their best to complete my orders to satisfaction, and was a well-spoken professional from the second I walked in to the second I walked out. It was the highlight of my day to see her effort in small talk with other customers— one customer being a sweet older woman. The manager asked if her sandwich was to her liking, in which she responded that it was so good it persuaded her to eat her second half. I must agree, the food was superb compared to subways closer to my home town. Everything tasted fresh and the building was respectively clean inside!“

“Visited after a Savanna Bananas game at about 11pm party of 4. This is not a historically good time for me to visit steak n shakes as far as service goes. This was a far different experience. Food was out quickly, tasted great, and exactly as ordered. The woman working the dining area was extremely friendly and made sure everything was right with our order when she brought it out. Could not have asked for a better experience.“

“We always stop here for a 10 pack bag of burgers when we come into TN to visit family. No matter the day or time, it's always been hot and fresh. One night, we were getting our gas at Walmart next door around 1 a.m. and our car would start back and we needed a jump. We asked several staff members of walmart to help us, as we had jumper cables, but none of them would help us. I walked next door to order our burgers and told them we were having trouble and one of the workers took his break time to come over and jump us off. Of course, their burgers have always been fresh, hot and delicious! Plus they have tons of varied options now, which makes it great!“

I drive past the one down the street from my house to come here. It is fast and accurate every time. This manager needs to train other managers how to train other managers. Just saying.“

“I visited this location today and should have known when the sign said to be patient as short staff . There were only 2 employees working today . They did fabulous and very patient . Upper management should recognize these 2 employees but it would be nice to see more mangers etc helping them out“

“Food was fast but not as hot as I would have liked. Also ordered 3 burgers with no pickles and all three burgers had pickles. I know it's a little thing but I absolutely hate pickles and even after you remove them you can still taste them.“

I forget her name, but she apologized for the issues and offered to send the correct pizza as soon as possible. She made it clear that this store truly cares about customer experience and went above and beyond to make things right!“
