The owners should be up-front and post "no boozy flavors" on the Edwardsville website, not just a sign inside (after you're already inside the store). “This has to be the smoothest creamiest ice cream I have had. Everything is fresh at this one of a kind shop. The lady at the drive through window was really nice. I got a small strawberry banana sundae and it was fully loaded with whole fresh fruit. I could not stop myself from eating it all before taking a picture. They give you a sizable portion as well.

Note: They only take cash so be prepared.

And, if your car sits low to the ground go through the drive through, avoid the side parking lot as there is a sizable divot where there is road access.“

“I can't really have ice cream. And if I did I wouldn't have this because it's just oddly cold. I understand that's kind of a point but I can't stand when I put ice cream in my mouth and I can feel it clinging to my tongue. It's just weird“

“Normally I LOVE this place ... not tonight. 45 mins in the drive through to get a cold burger handed to me , minus my concrete. She said she would go back and get it. Waited 10 more minutes , went inside , the line is out the door . Asked for my concrete, they handed me a completely melted cup of custard .... I asked for my money back. They had plenty of help , but no organization . They were all running around doing 2 or 3 different things , not organized at all, The manger was no where to be found .. I was told she was in the bathroom. When she finally came out , she had an I do nit really care what your complaint is attitude . I got my money back and left ... normally the food is hot and fresh, it takes a bit , but I have never seen such a mess as tonight !“

“We stopped on our way from WI to TX to see what all the fuss was about. A butter burger sounded mouth-wateringly delicious. Honestly, it was just a burger, but the crinkle fries were hot and crisp and salty, and the cheese curds were zesty and fresh. And I got a mini flavor of the day frozen custard, b/c apparently frozen custard is a big deal up here, and when in Rome… anyway it was scrumptious and I wanted to lick the cup clean.

Best part of this place was friendliness of staff. After being in Wisconsin and Chicago, it was nice to finally be in an area where people are nice and actually respond to you when you say something! Big difference between northern and southern Illinois. We felt like we were getting closer to home (Texas).“
