“Recently celebrated a 70th birthday with the D'Alexander family. What a great event. The staff could not have been nicer, and attentive. You only thought you might need something at the table and it would appear out of no where. The food was all home made and you could tell made from traditional old recipes and a lot of love thrown in. You feel like you are in a small cafe in Italy. If you want a great Italian dining experience please take the time to enjoy Made In Italy, because my wife and I plan to go back.“

Some food takes a while to come out and that is not a bad thing, as it tastes simply amazing and you can tell they take their time! The sweet and sour beef here is the truth and super authentic, the kimchi soup is just as good too! Highly recommend both of these dishes; the black noodles are alright, so I'd skip those. The service is friendly, but it's a small operation here (usually 1 person answering the phone, taking orders, handing out orders, seating people, etc.) It's a mom and pop restaurant and I hope it survives and thrives, because this place is doing authentic Korean food right.“

“In Chicago/Addison for work and could only walk few blocks for meal. Serino’s walk in was closed but drive thru was open and was asked to come to drive thru window. I didn’t get the man’s name that took my order and I asked him to make me a hot sandwich….he suggested the Italian beef ….he did ask if I wanted to sit inside while they made sandwich but I just waited outside but appreciated his invite. The sandwich was delicious and the aujus he added to dip sandwich in was excellent. Serinos was my first meal in Chicago area….I highly recommend and look forward to enjoying another meal there soon.“

“We tried this after watching Phil Goode’s review on their smash burger- we tried the burger, pork belly bites and the traditional wings with Jerk sauce and also XXX-Hot.
The smash burger was absolutely fantastic. Fries that came with it are seasoned but we think they would be so much better fresh cut. Pork belly also fantastic and melts in your mouth- The wings themselves we thought were a tad dry and overdone BUT were very flavorful. The Jerk sauce was very good. The XXX - hot has outstanding flavor but if you truly like spicy food it is not hot but again the flavor of this sauce is top notch. Staff was exceptional.We will definitely be back!“

She recommended the monthly special called “Moonstruck” and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The ambience, service and food is unmatched! “We have always enjoyed VT but this was poorly managed. We came in on a Wednesday and ask to sit at a booth. The booth they sat us at was right next to a party they had going on. And people were standing right at the edge of the booth and was extremely loud. Why they didn't put the party separated in the empty section by the bar would be more appropriate. It seems they were over the limit on the one side. So we asked to move to a booth that was empty. They said we couldn't move to that booth as it wasn't open. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere.“

“Great beers (as usual). Tonight’s review is for the featured “food truck” experience the Counting Crow. Full disclosure, we have never tasted CC prior, although online it looks like they regularly service most of the top Independent craft brewers for some time throughout suburban Chicagoland. Given their excellent reviews, was excited to taste. Nope. Didn’t realize their posted 5-7 limited quantities meant exactly that. By 6:00 pm on a warm busy spring Friday evening, CC was already sold out of 2/3rds of their (flash heated on a table top griddle) menu of Pork belly tacos and Shrimp po’boys (on a Friday, in lent)? Which only left the many hungry to enjoy their signature chicken sandwich (original, medium spicy and extra spicy) served with chips. While the sourcing of their chicken breasts (decent size/texture meaty and fried well) was good, their temperature plated was lukewarm and underwhelming. Maybe a pop up on the patio isn’t the best way to promote your food, Idk. Not a fan and can’t recommend. Definitely won’t go out of my way to sample again“

“Outside seating! We visit multiple days a week for breakfast for the great service, including an amazingly fast kitchen. Their potatoes are the best around--tender inside and crispy outside. One of our favs is the Country Fried Steak. Try the biscuits and gravy too!!!
