“In 2017, I picked up my older brother at Midway to come home to the funeral of our youngest brother that committed suicide at 23 yers old. We swung over to Vito and Nick's to get a pizza and talk. It was our first time there. We ended up telling the waitress the situation because we had both been crying. Next thing we know, the kitchen had par-baked like 8 large pizzas of all types, and gave us a hand-written note giving us condolences and instructions on how to finish baking the pizzas. “On 05/29/2026, I had dinner with some friends who recommended Palermo’s on 95th. I’ve always wanted to try it, and I’m glad I finally did—it did not disappoint.
The food was excellent, and the service matched it. Everything came out great, and the staff was attentive and welcoming throughout the visit. It was an all-around enjoyable experience, and I would definitely go back again.
The only minor downside was the parking, which can be a bit tight, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault.
Overall, a great spot with amazing food and service—highly recommend.“

“I had a catered event on October 2nd. The food was excellent!! Especially the Italian beef and Mac and cheese. Went to drop off stuff snd decided to have lunch since we were there. The Reuben was to die for!! As was the beef sandwich. We also loved the fries. Thank you Jim for making the food for our 30th anniversary party . I would highly recommend using them for all of your catering needs. And if you are in Thorton, pick up lunch. You won’t regret it.“

“The staff weren't that nice, the food didn't live up the the Barraco's name, but it wasn't a terrible experience. If the staff didn't hand us smudged glasses and forks with food stains, had been more like waiters who entertain guests rather than serve food, and a pizza that seemed not to be baked well and had a grainy crust, it would be five star dinning I experience. I had no real problem here, but it hadn't lived up the name.“

“Growing up in the Chicago area, especially on the south side, you EXPECT local pizza joints to be good. Lots of places that don't primarily sell pizza still have better pizza that you get in other parts of the country.

Though it's been around for a long time, as have I, I'd never tried Rosangela's prior to this time, and I'm here to say that I am a believer.

I tried introducing a colleague of mine to chicago pizza at a couple other places, and they did not impress him... Rosangela's did.

Just a medium special and a drink, but I will tell you that it's some of the best tavern style things crust pizza you'll ever have.

It's as good as your favorite place, and likely better.

I assumed the wings would be fried but they were baked not a big fan of baked wings. The pizza was excellent and I would definitely come back for that alone. “I love both places. The chicken sausage is the best and all that cheese. I love the Markham spot, but once I invited a friend and her two young daughters to join me. We sat at one of the two tables to have drinks while we waited. Before we knew it, we ended up eating dinner there!! It is great but a bit small to bring kids for dinner. Now, Mickey, the owner, who is wonderful, has a second Dream’s in Calumet Park! It’s a comfortable restaurant and the same great pizza! Yay!“

“I ordered the chicken and lasagna package for 30 people and could not have been happier! That is some of the best fried chicken I've ever had, truly. Everyone loved the lasagna. “This location is literally right down the street from my house so I order from them all the time. Most people already know about Beggars pizza, which is delicious, but not everyone has tried their other food items.

The meat lasagna is absolutely delicious and seasoned to perfection; some of the best I've ever had. The portion is generous as is the cheese topping. It comes with a side of garlic bread which is also tasty. I usually get a garden salad to accompany the lasagna entrée and it is HUGE! It's enough for four people and at $5.25 it is very reasonably priced. I always get the creamy garlic dressing which is really good. I've also ordered the chef salad on one occasion and it is LOADED with toppings. It has, what looks to be, two different kinds of ham, as well as two different types of narrowly sliced cheeses (in addition to the shredded cheddar). One person could eat this days.

I've also tried the tomato bread which is also very tasty. The bread is topped with tomatoes and covered with mozzarella cheese and finished with a sprinkle of herbs.

Service is fast and friendly. Will definitely order from here again in the very near future. I highly recommend. Five out of five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“This place is such a hidden gem! Catered from them for Xmas eve and had my birthday dinner there a week before. Actually also had my rehearsal dinner there almost 10 years ago lol! Can't say enough good things.. they let me put in a last minute order for Christmas Eve so I didn't have to cook a ton of pasta, and gave me extra vodka sauce!!! “This place has two atmospheres.

One part of it is fine dining with white table cloths.

The second part is a bar with high tops and booths. This is where we sat. There are TV’s everywhere. Even each booth has its own TV. Abbey Murphy’s dad, the waiter told us, is a frequent customer here. That was exciting for my six year old hockey player son and his hockey player friend. There was a banner for everyone to sign right before she won the gold Olympic medal. Of course my son and his friend couldn’t resist (Connor & Patrick). They’re both St. Jude Knights currently just as Abbey Murphy used to be.“
