“I Love Portillos it’s excellent. However on the road today. We had ordered a few jumbo dogs with extra onions. I swear one of them had 6,10 and not one of the 5 went over 10 onions. The mustard was like nothing but a faint yellow color basically nothing. Our Portillos at home is so much better. No harm no foul. Still Love Portillos. Note This Was not the Portillos we went to“

“The concept for the menu is a unique trip along the Pan-American highway with stops at various Latin countries. Each dish and drink is thoughtful in its ingredients and presentation. The jicama salad was refreshing, but not at all plain. The pastel de choclo was a wonderful surprise of a warm dish. The frozen el arenal was seriously dangerous in how delicious it was, I can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. We are so thrilled to have this gem in the neighborhood and can’t wait to see what they do in the future!“

“I almost never write reviews but this is truly a gem. My wife and I are huge fans of Central Asian foods and we've been to quite a few. Before coming here we read a review saying that this was the best Central Asian restaurant in the Chicago area. And we can confirm that that is 100% correct. We're so glad that we found this new Kyrgyz restaurant just 20 minutes away from us.

We visited on a Tuesday night but man was it packed. Probably because it was Ramadan. Staff was friendly. And every single dish was so authentic and perfectly eexecuted. We left with very full and satisfied stomachs.

Just for reference, these were the dishes we ordered: Beef skewers, boorsok, mampar soup, lentil soup, lagman, and eggplant salad. All were great as mentioned.“

It was a last minute event and I can not thank the owner enough as he came to the rescue with top notch service and catering. He was so accommodating as he was able to cater our party of 100 people in a matter of days. He was super helpful in creating a menu that would please all ages. Presentation was so appealing and portions were so generous. More importantly- flavor and preparation was outstanding! Kabobs were so tender and juicy and Shawerma meat so well seasoned. My favorite were his sauces- the garlic, tahini, and especially the spicy hot sauce with a hint of chipotle and lime was such a nice addition to any meal. I wish he would have left business cards to hand out because everyone was soooooooo impressed and just wanted to know where the catering was from. I would use Pita Express again and again without hesitation! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PITA EXPRESS FOR YOUR NEXT EVENT!“
