“This place is wonderful. I got the curry chicken, jumbo shrimp fried rice and egg rolls. Yummo .. plus last Christmas we did the Christmas Story and ordered lots of different foods. That was the best. So this year I'll be ordering food again for Christmas. Delicious ???

I'm a big fan of the lunch specials and recently tried the pepper steak and shrimp in lobster sauce. This is a great easy takeout option with really good portions. Also, their smoothies are really fresh.“

“My favorite place to get Chinese food! I’ve tried soooo many different places and keep coming back to this location whenever I visit my dad’s place in the burbs. I live in the city now and have tried many places there as well, but wish there was a Chen’s like this near my place. The food here is fresh, high quality, filled with flavor, good texture and never fails to make me full with the portions they give. I still have leftovers for the next few days!“

The tofu with mixed vegetables is absolutely delicious. The spring rolls are good and so is the egg rolls. The plain fried rice is ok if I wasn't cheap and added meat id be more happy but delicious food and we are back for second round now will update later.

“I was in the neighborhood, so I decided to try this place for their lunch special. It comes with shrimp fried rice, combination egg roll, and a few options for a main dish. I ordered the Mongolian beef. It was tasty, tender, and a bit spicy. The food was fresh and delicious. However, I do wish they had shrimp egg rolls as I’m not a fan of the combination egg rolls. Nonetheless, I enjoyed everything for just under $10. I will definitely go again when in this area.“

“I don't want to lie. Their food was the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. The egg Foo Young was slightly spoiled bean sprouts were not fluid fresh more like celery sitting out month. Yuck. “They have very good Chinese food compared to some we have eaten at. We had broccoli chicken with chicken fried rice and egg drop soup. It was very goodFYI: If you like your food very spicy, they will honor your request. We like ours real spicy, so I ask for it to be 3 times Xtra spicy for the main course and even the fried rice, and they will do they for you. We've gone to many Chinese restaurants throughout Chicago, and we like them. We've gone neck because it's close to where we live.

Parking: It's next to Pizza Hut. The parking lot is small, but there is extra parking by the Pizza Hut.“

“Bamboo garden is a hidden gem inside of a first I almost passed it by well, I'm glad I didn't. This place has been a local gem ever since Number One Chop Suey in Oak Forest closed this is. My new go-to for Chinese food. I had the chicken walnut dinner spicy and my friend had beef. Broccoli, both dishes were very good. The restaurant itself was clean. However, they did seem a bit unexpectedly short-staffed for our visit. I would go back. I would recommend it to local friends.“

“I came here with my friend after not coming here in a few years. We sat inside to eat the waiter was so sweet and gave us free water bottles. And the customer service was lovely. I order sesame chicken, chicken fried rice, two egg rolls and two smoothies. My total was barely $40!! Portions were great I had enough for me and my friends. And I still had left overs! The food was so fresh I almost burned my mouth. I think this is a little gem and more people need to come and try it.“

“They have great luncheon specials with generous portions and a free egg roll. I love hot and spicy dishes; my favorite is Kung Pao Beef which has a ton of flavor (nice heat), a lot of beef, peanuts and very tasty fried rice. I also like their Shrimp Egg Foo Yung. The other reviewer here is totally wrong. Either he needs to add soy sauce or maybe he was going through chemotherapy and had lost his sense of taste. Their service is also terrific and if you phone in your order ahead of time it will be piping hot ready for pickup iun about 15 minutes within 15 minutes.“

“all i have to say is wow. this is my first time trying ruan’s china kitchen after living my entire life in chicago but now i can safely say that its the best chinese takeout in the city. as soon as i walked in, i noticed that the restaurant seemed very authentic and was very well kept together. their service and food were both exceptional and this very beautiful lady named mandy helped me out. i will definitely be returning to ruan’s!“

“UPDATING recent August 27th visit. I stand in line behind a couple of difficult male customers, then when Im finally able to see what I went there for, the pans were 1/4 filled, looked very dry and unappealing. When the server asked what I wanted and I stated I had changed my mond as the food was NOT fresn, she just said OK. NO offer to ask fir more. I left. This location has consistently hasmd massive turnover resulting in lower quality - my major reason as to why I usually pick up.

I don't go as often as before. After several years (4-5) and the menu only caters to Teriyaki (several of those), and all things chicken. We're asked for suggestions, but it appears they get tossed. I know mine have been discarded as it's been about 5 years old and I've never seen a suggestion I/We submitted even on a Limited time...

Then too their sales must be declining because the Survey feedback rewards that didnt need to be used so quickly, now must be redeemed in under 10 days or they are lost.

It was nice when I /we didn't feel strong armed into dining two or more times a week on their limited food menu.

I have now come to believe they are experiencing a decline in customers causing them to make changes that I/we believe we're not well thought out. Less than 2 weeks to redeem - really!

I /We don't know about others, but I /we can't have or care to have rice and or noodles daily. We are gradually being sent elsewhere“

“The food is absolutely PHENOMENAL! Top notch for such an amazing price! I was full after barely making a dent in the food I ordered. The white rice is plain but in a good way; it’s simple and still good. The crab rangoon is so rich and flavorful! The chicken and rice soup is so light but packed full of flavor (perfect for cold and flu season). Service was quick too! This is absolutely my new favorite Chinese food location!“
