The atmosphere is great for families, and the owner is wonderful, especially with kids. Surprisingly, space worked extremely well for our family. Especially the upstairs. Service was excellent. “This place is a real gem! My family and I ordered takeout — the Inbox Pad Thai is a must-have. The thin rice noodles are a really nice twist to traditional Pad Thai. We also got the Lad Nar as an entree and the chive dumplings and shu mai as appetizers. I highly recommend the chive dumplings — they are super crispy on the outside and have a delicious filling! 🥟“

“I’ve been going here since they first opened and it has been my favorite Thai place ever since. There’s no shortage of Thai restaurants in the city and burbs and I’ve tried MANY of them, yet none have ever topped Beyond Thai. My partner and I order from here pretty much once a week, sometimes more. Everything I’ve ever tried on the menu has been top notch. The staff is always friendly and the prices are reasonable, which is SO rare these days. My top recommendations are the pad Thai, ALL of their curries, and especially the curry puffs!

Vegetarian options: Many of the menu items can be easily made veggie. I often get the curries or pad Thai with veggies or tofu.

Dietary restrictions: My partner has some dietary restrictions so we sometimes have to make special requests to remove certain ingredients and they always oblige“

“Finally found my 1st great Thai place in Lake Cty since I moved here a year ago from Chicago... I tried them yesterday and looooved the eggplant with basil and basil chicken dishes... It's 30 minutes away but that's better then having to drive twice as long to the City for great Thai... “My family comes by rather frequently but i've never left a review. The food is Exceptional. The chicken satay with the peanut sauce is full of flavor and tender. The kanom jeeb is cooked to perfection as well, it had a very nice and tender texture. Additionally, their thai curry, pad see ewe, and fried rice are full of flavor and portioned very generously. Apart from food the service is very nice and friendly. Overall very good, give it a try.“

Thai Yasothon’s food is made with traditional presentation and spices, the portions are generous-fresh and well prepared. Always stop by here to support our friends Aom and support our neighbor hood restaurants. We did dine in many times and also catering at home, our guests love them😋“

“I am not local, this is a regular go-to place for a friend, so when I visit with her, she wants to bring me. I had a Chinese Eggplant with chicken dish, flavorful and spicy. Also had some nigiri sushi, all very good. The Black Tobiko was plentiful and fresh. The Tamago and Inari, which are types of sushi that are deceptively simple seeming but really show a chef's knowledge and artistry, were excellent. I'm sure I will go again.“

“Over 20 years ago I started eating at their original Lincoln Park location. Today, their delicious food keeps me coming back time after time. It helps that the restaurant is staffed by the nicest people in the world. When I call for pickup they know my order (lad nar with chicken and Japanese gyoza) and they have it ready in ten minutes. Ten minutes!“
