“This is my new barbecue go-to in Niles. I live close to here, and it is so easy to just come over and have a drink. They host some events, including live music and a book fair. It is a great place to have a party, and just plain have fun. I personally recommend the brisket. The fries here are something to crave. It is in kind of an industrial area. But the brewery has an industrial vibe. I totally recommend this place for anyone looking for a bar/bbq kind of place.“

“My friend and I stopped in at Firewater BBQ in Elmhurst on Thursday Dec. 1st for the "Granny's Lunch Box Special" which is available daily from 11AM-2PM. This was my second visit and my friend's first at Firewater. We both ordered the Angus beef brisket sandwich with a side of 3 cheese Mac & Cheese and a soda. The brisket (smoked for 22 hrs) is amazingly tender and flavorful. It was piled high on a toasted brioche bun and is served with your choice of sweet or spicy BBQ sauce or both if you like. The Mac & Cheese is sooo silky-smooth and creamy and compliments the brisket quite well. There are complimentary pickled jalapeños and sweet & spicy pickles available as well. My friend was so impressed by this amazing brisket that he placed another exact order to go to bring home. The cashier who also took our order was very friendly and polite. We told one of the chefs, Shawn, (pictured) that we really enjoyed the brisket and complimented his skills. My friend and I will both be returning to Firewater BBQ and we'll definitely be letting our family and friends know about this wonderful BBQ spot.“

“I had the Beautiful Disaster for the Sunday Brunch. I also took home a full slab of Ribs and their homemade sauce. All of it was outstanding. The French Toast with Bacon at the bottom of the Disaster was amazing. The Ribs and sauce were out of this world. I will be back!!!“

“Me and my sister decided to try SLYCE of NY today for dinner.

I been seeing this place for a while now and my best friend also told me the pizza was decent.

We came 30 min before closing and they had only three slices left ready to eat.

We got the following items:

- 1 Chopped Cheese Fries ( 5/5 )

BBQ with great smokiness and flavor. we come here often and love the brisket Chile, ribs, smoked turkey and of course those amazing burgers. last time I was there it was $5 Burger night and it's amazing that they can serve a great smoky burger on fresh roll with fries for this price. full bar with a good selection of beers“

“I had the pleasure of trying the burger, sausage, broccoli salad, fries, banana pudding, Mac and queso, and sticky pork belly—and let me tell you, every single bite was an absolute delight.

The sticky pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sausage link was perfectly juicy and bursting with flavor. The fries were golden, crispy, and even better when paired with the tangy Texas Red and Carolina Gold sauces.

The burger and the sausage link, though, were the (tied) stars of the show. Both choices are simple and very reasonably priced. The burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted. Each bite was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and incredibly satisfying. The sausage link was made with a perfectly balanced blend of ingredients that made it impossible to put down.

The Mac and queso was a standout as well—completely unique and absolutely next-level. It’s not your traditional mac n’ cheese; it’s a bold, creamy creation that left me wanting more. The broccoli salad was a refreshing surprise, with a perfectly balanced tanginess and flavor that was, quite literally, DILL-icious!

I finished off the meal with their banana pudding, which was the perfect way to end such a feast. Light, airy, and just sweet enough, it was like a cloud of dessert heaven.

On top of all the incredible food, the service was quick, warm, and friendly. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu—this place is a total gem!“

“I got an order of tips and links separately since it was my first time there. Links had great flavor and just the right amount of heat. Tips where good but a little overcooked (kinda tough) but the excellent BBQ sauce saved them. Owner was super friendly though and the service was quick considering it's a one man operation. I'll definitely be coming back here to try out a slab of ribs since he was out of em today.“

“Catered for my spouses 50th birthday. Wings, Ribs, salad, 6pans in total. I called them and asked if they could have it done earlier than the time slot I picked…they weren’t able because of their load. 10 minutes after I called, they called and told me they had me! Best BBQ ever! Event was December 8, 2024.“

“City Barbeque food never disappoints. We drove all the way up here just to get good food. We miss the one they use to have in downers grove and in Berwyn. The pulled pork sandwich is always great paired with some mac and cheese and cornbread. Definitely coming back to this location. The inside is very nice and the employees are very helpful.“

My brother is deaf, and Darnell and Demetrius were patient and helpful, communicating with him directly rather than looking to me for help communicating with him. “Food and drinks are always delicious; Steve recognized me on my fifth visit, introduced himself and provided some complimentary shots to me and my partner. We have ordered Corn Paloma’s, Mole Pisco Sour and Aphrodite multiple times and always hits the spot. For constructive improvement, it can be slow to order as there’s only one person taking orders. Maybe one order only kiosk or one more person could make it more efficient as folks are waiting in line for 10 minutes. I also appreciate the family atmosphere, but there will be times screaming children are right in the middle of where patrons are dining and relaxing. I would recommend a specified area for the kids a bit further away from the main patrons but I understand the constraints of the space (might make more sense to have the kids play area near the food truck). I look forward to continued sunny days and nice drinks at Tribute!“

“My fiancé and I have been a gyro war. I’m a Skokie Dengeos girl and he’s a diehard Squabs fan. While it’s hard to compete with childhood memories after trying Squabs I totally get it. The gyro was perfectly cooked, the tzatziki was beautiful, the fries were delicious. The absolute standout was the customer service. I was having such a bad day. I confused the gyro plate with the gyro dinner and they took such good care of me. I had cried the whole ride over and left with the biggest smile and a plate of leftovers. 10/10 I will be coming back every chance I get.“
