Freddy’s is like I went back to 1990’s St.Calistus St.Joseph’s table. Stop in the Food Service and Establishment all live up to its promises. You can not have a bad meal here.

“A Chicagoan recommended I take the pink line to 18th for this best ever pizza. With crunchy thin crust and an unexpectedly large serving size, it was piping hot and topped with tons of cheese and a generous amounts of sausage and hot honey. Mmmmm!

The horchata was the creamiest ever. The service was kind and helpful and the playlist was straight out of my neighborhood in the 90s. Made for a wonderful meal with lots of memories. “We visited on a busy Saturday night recently without reservations. We were told forty five minute wait but the it ended up being at least an hour. So I’d definitely recommend getting reservations! The restaurant was packed - but we did get decent service. We ordered a large cheese pizza - and my family of four was able to finish it. It was very filling and tasty - no complaints from any of the family aside from being tired from the long wait to get in. The crust was especially good! And we ended the dinner with the cookie pizza with ice cream and that was great as well.“

“The shaved ice is amazing. They have several flavors to choose from. That was my favorite part actually.

The pizza was okay. It needs seasoning in the sauce. I had pepperoni and my husband had pepperoni and sausage. He said the sausage tasted like Casey's sausage. Do with that what you will.

Other than the lack of seasoning, the crust was great. If you LOVE cheese, you will like how much cheese they use. The pepperonis would taste better if they were above the cheese, but that is of course preference. Overall nice place. 1 slice is all you really need do to the size of each slice.“

“We had a group of 7 and our server was so attentive, answering all of our questions and all the recommendations were on point. He was very helpful with a nut allergy. “Stopped in on my last night in Chicago; the restaurant is small but clean with very friendly staff. I opted to dine in and asked what they recommended and was told most tourists order the stuffed pizza, so I got a slice of the special (sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions) and was not disappointed. Even though the crust is thick, it didn't taste or feel like too much bread and the sauce on top tasted both slow cooked and fresh - a bit of an oxymoron but that was probably my favorite part even though I don't typically like much sauce. “Just had their steak (carne asada) tacos! Absolutely fantastic! The green salsa is on point! Very generous on the size of their tacos. I'm extremely picky when it comes to getting tacos in fact I only like my tacos from one or two taco places in all of Chicago. This is my first time coming here and this spot just got added to my small list. I will most definitely stop by this place whenever I'm around this area. Thank you for the great food! It's still an amazing pizza and the (owner?) who I've interacted with a couple times recently has been incredibly inviting when you enter his business, super friendly. That's great but like I said, the pizza is outstanding! I love supporting the small guy. If you haven't given them a try, do it. You won't be disappointed! Crust: this is what did it for me. The crust was a perfect thickness and kept its structure/ crisp throughout the whole pizza

Sauce: they’re cooking down their own sauce I believe. It’s got a touch of that fresh tomato sweetness. Nothing over powering, just a great classic sauce

Sausage/cheese: high quality Battaglia products. Traditional cheese blend and good sausage. Nothing crazy in this category but definitely brings their pizza together

“My family was there to celebrate my son's birthday. They were patient with our party as we had some late arrivals. The server was sweet and friendly. She was even training a new server. We had a party of 13 she did awesome with getting orders for drinks and food. She even had a candle on my son's cookie so we could sing happy birthday. Will definitely come again“

Now let's get to the food. Amazing crust on the stuffed pizza with tons of ingredients which tasted fresh and not a slice was left after the whole pizza was devoured by myself and the crew. The baked ravioli with cheese on top was also fantastic! Their garden salad had everything a garden salad should including radishes and the cannolis had a crunchy shell with tasty filling.
