“Tried the new menu item Gyros. Hope they keep it on the menu. They were great. The Tzatziki Sauce which makes a Gyro was perfect with enough cucumbers. We now have a new place to go to for Gyros. Last, I had just about everything on their menu and everything is delicious.“

“It's been over two weeks since my family and I visited The Polish American Bistro. It would be remiss of me not to leave a wonderful review of this lovely restaurant! Ania and Darek, the owners, are the nicest and most hospitable people ever! Since I have family in Poland, it was fun to talk to them about their homeland. Now about their food . . . it's completely amazing! I ordered galumpki (ground beef and rice wrapped in cabbage). The tomato sauce on top was so delicious, it spun circles around the sauce my grandma used to make (sorry, Grandma!)! My husband ate a breaded pork cutlet with mashed potatoes. SO tasty! And my daughter opted for a cheeseburger that looked and tasted so great that we even returned the next day to order another cheeseburger to go! Our entrees were accompanied by a side of two types of salad - one made of marinated red cabbage, and the other was their super delectable authentic Polish sour cream, cucumbers and dill. As you can tell, our dinner itself was a 5-star experience. Last but not least, I must discuss their DESSERTS! When you walk into Ania and Darek's restaurant, your eyes will immediately be drawn to their multi-tier display of desserts. Unfortunately, since our stomachs were full after our delicious dinner, we couldn't even think of dessert. However, take-home was still an option! So I asked Ania to escort me to the dessert case and tell me about her sweet treats. It turns out she owns a bakery in another suburb, and all the desserts are made on location at the bakery FROM SCRATCH! So we took a few home (see photo), ate them the next evening, and they did not disappoint! I loved them all, especially the vanilla custard inside the eclair and fruit tart! The chocolately hazelnut dessert was a Kinder Bueno torte. I want to go back and try more of these amazing treats! You should really go check out The Polish American Bistro, whether or not you are Polish! They have food for everyone. Dziękuję Ania and Darek!“

“Alexes Vienna Beef and Kronos Gyros always has a nice friendly man take your order at the register and the french fries and the Gyros and Char broiled Hamburger is the best I have ever tasted in Mc Henry County Alex's thanks all you nice friendly men who work there I would highly recommend this place to stop at and eat lunch or dinner you will not be dissappointed and the food is fantastic and he gives the customer the best bang for his buck !“

“Hi. I’m Julie. Just moved to the area. Love Lake Villa. Coming from years in Cook County, where small mom and pop hamburger stands are a plenty I was so pleased to find R-Dog.
Friendly staff, always smiling. The character of the antiques that harken back to a simple way of life are a welcome respite in today’s busy world.
Food is amazing, always piping hot. I highly recommend the gyros plate, with its over abundance of fresh meat. Soft warm pita beckons for the cool cucumber sauce. My mom’s #1 guilty pleasure.
Next time you’re in the area, check them out.. Happy munching.“

“Prices are NUTS, but this a great burger. Solid location too, pretty timely too, the majority of experiences I’ve had here have been very satisfying. Honestly speaking, 5 Guys in general is just one of the best burgers you can get around, even though it’s a chain. Honestly, if they dropped the price a bit I’d be here ALL the time“

“My last visits to this Tommy’s Red Hots on Friday, August 1st, 2025 was pretty much good. The second time I went in to eat my dinner. They were running a bit behind on making food but overall the experience was fine. The pizza is always delicious. The staff is so polite and respectful here. (Written 8-10-25)“

“The pizza was eh. They told us that we needed to call ahead for a full pizza but we were able to get slices. That was good enough and I got cheese fries too. Definitely a very good combo to go for. I definitely recommend if you are trying to get full very quick. I loved it and definitely will be going to the Glendale heights location since I live around that area“

“Well my Woman works there so im a little Bias, but Honestly , Everything i have tried was GREAT !! I have not had everything on the Menu because i find it HARD to order a "Fish Sandwich" because i can only picture McDonald Fish/paper Pulp ?... If i do try it i will let you know !!“

“I always enjoy visiting Chubby's Gyros, where exceptional service and a charming atmosphere are paired with outstanding cuisine. On my latest visit, I had a craving for their mouthwatering Chicken Crossett, while my partner opted for the Gyros. We left feeling extremely satisfied - to say the least - as we were both thoroughly full and content. Chubby's Gyros truly knows how to deliver a satisfying experience. “ordered 2 chicago style hot dogs, Italian beef combo w/ mozzarella cheese and Giardiniera, jalapeño poppers and onion rings. $33.00 ☹️ the combo had barely any beef or Giardiniera on it. the onion rings were a big clump of a soggy greasy mess. the poppers were soggy too. They were not edible, threw them away. I don't know what happened, they used to be really good.“
