“It’s not every day you see a family-owned restaurant that's been around for 40 years. They are currently doing takeout only but if they've been around for that long, they must be doing something right. And unsurprisingly, the food here was just as good as some of the most highly regarded Thai restaurants in the city. The spice levels and flavors were undeniably authentic.

The pad kee mao was nicely charred and the noodles were satisfyingly chewy. The nam tok had smoky grilled beef in an incredibly addictive sauce and sprinkled with a generous amount of toasted rice. Pla koong was a particularly interesting dish. It has the same sauce as the nam tok but was additionally loaded with various herbs, making it much more refreshing and complex. The shrimps were slightly raw in the center almost like ceviche. Texturally, they were softer and more flexible, with more of a chew rather than the firm snap of cooked shrimp. Flavorwise, the natural sweetness of the shrimps came through much more clearly. The papaya salad was alright and ended up being the weakest dish of the meal.

I have seen they occasionally hand out watermelon when it’s in season. Now I have another reason to come back and test my luck.“

“Words cannot give this food justice! I’ve been in the city since 2014 searching for my go-to Thai spot and I FINALLY found it last night after my friend suggested it. The service and friendliness of the staff were top tier and every dish we had was out of this world. What a gem of a place. The flavors of the pad thai were unmatched, and don’t even get me started on the custard taiyaki with ice cream. This chef’s talent is unmatched. “I got the yellow curry and it was amazing! I was in the mood for thai and tried this spot randomly and it did not disappoint. The servings are huge, perfect for leftovers. We also got the chicken satay and it was big juicy pieces of chicken. Can't wait to come here again.“

“My favorite Thai place closed years ago and I've been on the hunt for my new favorite Thai restaurant. I've finally found it!! Got pot stickers, pad si-ew chicken and kow soi chicken. The pot stickers are solid, you won't regret ordering them. I had the kow soi and it was so flavorful, my partner had the pad si-ew and said it was delicious. We ordered take out and it was packaged very well. I will be picking up food here anytime I find myself anywhere near Elmhurst.“

“I met the owner he was very personable and professional. I got my food delivered and I might add it was just as good as if I was Dining in. I got pineapple fried rice cooked with ingredients just like I like it and it was delicious. I also got Tom Kha soup and crab Rangoon’s they were good as well. “I love this place.! The food has always delivered for me. I have been ordering from this place for a long time now. That being said recently I have noticed that the smoky chicken that I absolutely love from this place (no other place around me seems to have smoky chicken option) has had a bit of a texture change from how it used to be sometime ago. It seems to be a little more fried/crunchy rather then tender which is where it is the most delicious. I can't describe it exactly but I know it does not have the same texture as it once did. It is still very good regardless and I will continue to get it but I hope this gets seen and maybe offer some kind of explanation but I recommend this place!“

“Dine in is wonderful, staff is great, tables are nice and ambience is good. We ordered the Happy family and the pho, 10/10 stars all around. I would totally recommend this place to eat out with friends and family, they accommodate you really well. Owners are very very nice and humble. I’ve ordered Togo a lot of times before and it’s always been quick and fresh. They have a bar with many many selections. This is a family owned business I think so I try to be patient. This is my go-to spot whenever I want any type of asain dish!“

“You MUST visit Mai Thai!! I was in town for a work conference and walked over to this place, since it was nearby. I ordered the Panang Noodles off website and got it as takeaway.

I cannot express in words how delicious this curry was!! The curry was a nice blend of sweet and peppery. The lemongrass was just enough to give it a nice fresh taste. Since I ordered this to go, the fried noodles came in separate box. This is my first time trying panang noodles, so I’m not sure if fried noodles is standard, but let me tell you having the noodles fried added such a nice complexity to this dish. 100/10
