Nestled in the heart of Gurnee, Robin Hood may not yet be the most buzzed-about spot online—but what it might lack in web presence, it surely makes up for in character and service. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt like a well-loved local gem: warm lighting, congenial chatter, and a sense of community that’s rare to find.

But what truly made the evening shine was our server, Brianna. Attentive without hovering, she struck that rare balance of offering recommendations, anticipating refills, and knowing when to leave us to enjoy our meal. Her genuine warmth set the tone for the whole evening.

“I grew up on Super dawg and had to visit on my Chicagoland visit. I was staying closer to the Wheeling location in the Northwest suburbs. They have a true Chicago dog, with neon green relish, sport peppers and poopy seed bun. It was a treat to also find a pickled green tomato.

On the downside, hot dogs seemed smaller and definitely less crinkle fries, in. A smaller box. Perhaps next time I will order just the hot dog and a side of fries as a better value and more fries. They have more food options available for those that aren't into hot dogs. A nostalgic place to visit.

“Farm house burger was really good. We also had a party melt. IF YOU DON'T LIKE GARDINERE have them take it off. The burger is hot with it. My sweet potato fries were ok but they didn't come out hot they were room temp as if they sat out while my food was making.“

“Food is awesome here, and every kids meal comes with a free ice cream, my daughter instantly fell in love when she found that out. Now she wants to go all the time. She loved the burger and fries also but the free ice cream excited her lol.“

“I've been here three times in the past year and have been wowed each time. The employees are always nice and accommodating. The food is perfect each time, the bathrooms and restaurant itself are very clean, and the space is welcoming! That's saying a lot from someone who worked in a lot of restaurants over the years and can easily spot issues. Bagels are chewy, thaw nicely after being in my freezer for a bit, and make excellent sandwiches. Thank you for the Windex and cleaning up my water bottle catastrophe ;)“

I asked for my toast to be buttered and was told " we don't for covid concerns". I rolled my eyes, but said no more. I checked later to determine if there were any state or federal prohibitions for buttering toast, OF COURESE THERE WEREN'T!
I'M there are a few people who love hard cold butter spread on cold toast, NOT ME.
injury to insult the butter Is in tiny tiny little sealed plastic small square packs, open 3 or4 just to butter the one piece of toast, what a waste of landfill with plastic, but that isn't a consideration.
Suggedtion... butter the toast as the customer requests, get rid of the small butter packs and go to the paper foil wrapped butter for those who wish to butter there own toast.“

“I ordered a small request of chicken tenders and cheese curds (that's it!!) And it took almost 30 minutes for them to get it to me. So much for fast food. The worst part was I ordered takeout, so by the time I got home, both the chicken and the curds were cold. But every other time has been no problem, with really good food.

Parking: Lots of spots

Kid-friendliness: Really nice to children- they have special bags that kids meals come in, and prizes behind the counter for frequent visitors, not to mention the number of booths which we all know kids love for some reason...“

“Food had good flavor, but it was not hot. It took a long time to get it as well. Our waitress said it just came up. I am not sure that was accurate because it wasn't hot. The sandwich was not smashed the bun was light and fluffy, The lettuce was rough cut not polarized it was cold like it just been made the bacon is crispy it was not stopping it was actually what you would expect when you spent 8 1/2 bucks on cheeseburger and I was Very impressed. I do not know if this is a Burger King improving their ingredients and toppings effort or it’s this specific location to do things a little bit different because they need to compete. “For a fast food spot, this place went above and beyond. The staff greeted us when we walked in and thanked us on the way out. One team member was cleaning and wiping down tables the entire time we were there, and the floors were spotless. You rarely see this level of cleanliness and customer service at a fast food restaurant.“

“This place is the classic "Jewish style" deli gem. The brunch crowd are gossiping older folks, who sit forever and get a million refills on their pickles. Their pickles are AMAZING, they have bagels, latkes, eggs, sandwiches, spreads, the best chicken soup (made with love), and their desserts are delicious. They even support local businesses and authors by selling items in their store and having little change collection bins (tzedakah boxes). Even prices are reasonable, especially considering inflation. You won't be disappointed by eating here!

Vegetarian options: Eggs, sandwiches, soups, salads, pancakes, wraps, all the typical deli-style options.

Dietary restrictions: They were very good about helping a friend of mine who just had surgery, with a list of "not allowed foods" figure out what she could eat!
