“Overall, this was a decent steakhouse. My husband and I came here on the last day of restaurant week this year, as we love trying different steakhouses. The service was great and our server was attentive despite the busy dinner rush we had entered. The food was decent. For our starter, I got the SRF Wagyu Meatball with Whipped Ricotta and Basil Pesto which was very good. My husband got the lobster bisque which was a bit cold when we got it. For our entree, my husband got the center- cut filet mignon and I got the Double Cut Prime Pork Chop. Again, my dish tasted more on point than his. Both of our desserts hit the spot though! We got the hot chocolate cake and the hazelnut chocolate mousse! Overall, there were some slight misses but definitely a lot of hits!“
“Our first time here, it was last minute and we chose it based on a picture someone posted of a soup. We were pleasantly surprised to come in on a Sunday afternoon and we were provided with a table in one of their private rooms. We chose several options and when we tasted the soup, it was soo delicious. Everything was great. Can't wait to go back. We even got additional stuff to go.Kid-friendliness: The kids were offered a kiddie cocktail and they got a kick out of it.“
“I had the shrimp and grits and it’s very delicious. It looks tiny but they give you so much shrimp and it’s very filling. The drinks are delicious and will get you a good buzz. They should play more yacht rock music to fit the vibes better imo. Other than that it’s a great place to eat and it deserves more attention.Parking: Plenty of parking available“
“Sensational quality (food, friendliness, cleanliness), in an otherwise meh part of town ("Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Romeoville anymore"). My only wish would be for them to have some hot offering on a cold winter's day (such as the miso soup another reviewer suggested they bring back, or even Gyudon, a Japanese-style thin-sliced beef and onions dish served atop a bowl of rice).“
“I've been coming here with my family for over 30 years. Graduations, Confirmations, Birthdays, Celebration of Life Dinners and everytime I come home to visit Joliet. I have also had my mom bring poorboys on the plane with her when she Flys to visit me. You should absolutely have Diners, Drive Ins and Dives do a show. Never change. You're the best!“
“This is the BEST Poke Bros in the area! The staff are friendly and they offer a punchcard for frequent eaters. We love customizing our salmon & tuna poke bowls with cucumber, edamame, ginger, jalapeno, pineapple and so much more. Avocado, mango, and seaweed salad are $1 extra. Get the mochi (3 for $5.50), you have 13 flavors to pick from, including espresso, toasted coconut, passion fruit, cake batter, and purple ube!“
“We've enjoyed Public Landing for years! We can always count on great food and great service in the loveliest atmosphere. The salmon with roasted vegies is exceptional. We like to try different menu items but may not be able to resist having the salmon regularly!!!“
“I would definitely recommend if you are looking to try something new that is healthy and tasty. Their menu items and drink options are unique and I loved the smell of toasted coconut while enjoying my meal. Make sure to get one of the dole soft serves!“
“The food & service were great! Kelly was an excellent server and so patient with my autistic little brother. We enjoyed our burgers & the wings were great.Only con is that the women’s bathroom smelled horrible. It appeared to be clean, but the smell was really bad. Perhaps some bleach or re-tiling would do the trick.Overall, great experience. I just wouldn’t use the bathroom there.“
“This place is the definition of don't judge a book by its cover! It doesn't look like much from the outside or the inside, for that matter but the food is absolutely delicious! Not much seating inside so this is definitely a better get your food and go kind of place. The service was great and everything we ordered was delicious, from the chicken wings to the lobster poboy I had. If you like seafood this is a great place to give a try. I would suggest calling ahead to pick up your order or you will be waiting 10 to 20 min depending on what you order.“
“This is my favorite place to grab some finger licking good Chicken along with potatoe Wedges and all sorts of variety meals to choose from. I would like to say special shout out to Mz Sam... She is so nice and great customer service. She is definitely my type of friendly customer service. They were closing but she still took care of me. Thanks..??“
“I ordered on May 29th, and indicated that I have Celiac disease (gluten intolerance). I mistakenly ordered a portion of my bowl that included gluten ingredients. They attempted to call me twice (I missed it) to let me know. Even though I did not answer, they delivered the food with the gluten containing ingredient separate with a note to be careful. I am so impressed, and it is so hard to find safe places to eat as a Celiac. The extra care and time to make sure my food was safe really impressed me... not to mention the food was fresh and so delicious! I applaud the staff for their attention to detail and care, and am making Poke Bros a staple take out.“
“We went tonight for dinner and were shocked! As regular customers we were surprised by the UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT sign. We were also told NO ALCOHOL.Jose you and your family will be missed. We are saddened that we were unable to say ..you will be missed and your in our thoughts and prayers. We hope to see you again soon!Mike & Louise , your friends at the bar!“
“Title: A Flavorful Journey through Filipino Delights: A 10/10 ExperienceNestled within a welcoming atmosphere exuding family-friendly vibes, Val’s Kitchen Plus serves as a gateway to the heart of Filipino cuisine. During my recent visit, I was enchanted not only by the scrumptious dishes but also by the warm hospitality that defined the experience. The ambiance struck a perfect balance between cleanliness and an inviting aura, making it an ideal spot for a delightful dining escapade. It emitted the essence of a genuine family-oriented restaurant, welcoming patrons with open arms. However, what truly stood out was the impeccable service. The staff at Val’s Kitchen Plus were paragons of hospitality, displaying a genuine eagerness to ensure a memorable dining venture. Their attentiveness and friendliness added an extra layer of comfort to the entire experience, making it feel like dining among friends. Now, onto the stars of the show—the dishes. The palabok, with its vibrant medley of flavors, offered a harmonious blend of textures and tastes that tantalized the palate. Each bite of the meticulously prepared noodles coated in a rich, savory sauce, adorned with an array of toppings, left an indelible mark on my taste buds. The lumpia, a quintessential Filipino favorite, showcased culinary finesse at its best. Crispy on the outside and bursting with savory goodness within, it was a true testament to the artistry of Filipino cuisine.Among the desserts that crowned this remarkable culinary journey, the bibingka emerged as a standout. Its coconut-infused layers of rice cake, boasting a sweet, creamy texture, were a delectable revelation—a perfect marriage of tradition and flavor that left a lasting impression. In conclusion, my time at Val’s Kitchen Plus was nothing short of exceptional. From the savory delights of palabok and lumpia to the sweet finale with the mesmerizing bibingka, each dish resonated with authenticity and skillful preparation. Coupled with the inviting ambiance and the exceptional service, my overall experience surpassed expectations, earning it a resounding 10/10 rating.“
“This is real home cooked Chinese food! Very simple old school stall in a food court but don’t let the surroundings fool you. This place is worth the 45 min drive for me. Best Chinese food in Chicago imo. LOVE the scallion pancakes. Everything tastes “
“A great place to try craft beers, warm atmosphere with live jazz, there are beer yoga classes on Sundays from 10 to 11 am 20usd per class with a pint of beer, I also highly recommend pinball tournaments.A great place to try craft beers, warm atmosphere with live jazz, there are beer yoga classes on Sundays from 10 to 11 am 20usd a class with a pint of beer, also pinball tournaments. “Loads of options on an attractive menu. Restaurant has a fun vibe with great tiles and flowers hanging from the bar. We went with another couple and ordered drinks that were all well done – we love the chips and homemade roasted tomato salsa that they brought to our table. We then shared the guacamole which was a generous serving and very fresh, I had ceviche with shrimp that was a generous mound served with avocados on top and it was delicious. The service – although they were trying really hard – was slow and very spotty. We ordered drinks and only three of the drinks came and about 10 minutes later the fourth drink came. All our meals came together except for my husbands which came about 15 minutes later, which didn’t make for a smooth me out together. The portions were generous, and the food was fresh, and I would definitely go back. For a family place, the music was blaring and unnecessary, there are a few areas that they could improve on but the reason we went was the food and it was fantastic.Parking: Loads of parking around the building at st the strip shopping center.“
“Food is AMAZING here, it's always fresh and ready in 10-15 minutes and comes with great sauces. Service was friendly and very helpful if you didn't like your food or if you wanted anything extra they were always ready to help! They also have some good vegetarian and vegan options!“
“Kid-friendliness: Several quotes from the kids this experience. When are we coming back here again? This was in the top 3 or 4 places we’ve been! I wonder if there is a job that’s just a crab leg cracker? So, we all loved it. Popped in for an anniversary outing on a Lent Friday. Highly recommend the Coconit, Ubi, and Mango frozen dessert. Nothing we would have ordered but they comped it for our anniversary and it was the perfect ending to a delicious crab dinner (and everyone’s breath is better for it). We will be back soon!“
“I had a Great Experience as soon as I entered the door and was greeted my Miss Christina (Carryout). She greeted me with a smile, and assisted me with my order. I just had to let the manager Miss Tammi know how Miss Christina made me feel after a long day of work. I said at the bar and Rob was awesome. He made me the best drink ever “June Bug”. And the food was delicious“
“Ordered a big tray of wings and fries and some jumbo shrimp. Took longer the 15 minutes they said it would take, but worth it!! The food was all deep fried but not greasy. Definitely coming back here for more. Only 2 employees I saw working the counter and the deep fryers but they did a good job. The girl working the counter was really friendly and the food was worth the long wait.“
“The French fries I had, tasted so good. To some people body, they can't handle all of the body soak, that I can handle. Of seasoning or sauce. The restaurant had a promotion, then an exit of the old place, it use to be, before another taco place, or something I don't know. A great place.“
“Came here on a Thursday and had 4 quesabirrias because I don’t eat seafood. They were AWESOME, best I have ever had. Wife had the “small” ceviche which she could only eat half of, and she said it was great. Definitely worth giving this place a look. The other seafood options on the menu look great, and we will be back next Thursday.“
“New management and Changing daily menu, it's a friendly staff and atmosphere, I liked the original menu better but this changing menu is more cost efficient I got the Caldo Maricos (Shrimp and Fish) soup. They are definitely worth a try, just a few things they need to work on. They will “
“We buy crispy smelt to go here and those are the best! So cruspy even the nect day. Second time we dined in last night. All the food we ordered are authentic chinese and so delicious. We ordered hongkong steak, kung pao chicken- perfectly cooked and the sauce and spiciness is not overpowering.; yeong chow fried rice is yummy too, salt and pepper chicken is not what we expected. We were expecting a chicken but this is chicken strips covered in batter but it turned out really good too. Service is fast and tge owner is akways nice. The place is a typical chinese restaurant with round rables and booth. They just need to remove the table where they put the bakery products, it's just in the way when you walk to the tables.“
“Best Pizza in the area. A real Chicago institution out here in Bolingbrook. I go to the Salerno’s on Grand and it’s so nice I thought I’d try this one. The pizza was just as good. 5 stars. Delivery came fast so that didn’t hurt. My new go to.“
“This place is so good it’s apart of mariscos el costeño. I’ve been there a handful of times and all have amazing delicious food & the service is fantastic. I’ve had Gio pancakes & steak chilaquiles with salsa verde. So good and flavorful! Definitely will be back!! Definitely recommend for breakfast!“
“WOW! This gem was shared by a friend, and I wasn't disappointed! I was working in the area, and after the first visit, I was hooked! EVERYTHING I ordered was delicious! The fish, the shrimp, and their soaps! The soaps are made fresh daily, and you could taste the freshness! Anytime I'm back in the area I'll visit Franks. You won't be disappointed!“
“First time here and it was amazing! 4 adults and one baby, seated right away. Service was top notch, super friendly. Food was really fresh and soooo good, better than we expected for an all-you-can-eat meal! Lots of options on the all-you-can-eat menu, too. Sushi, Mochi dessert, salad, and apps were all excellent. We will absolutely be back!“
“Super friendly guys in there. Great freezer case options, fresh seafood, salmon burgers are great. Lobster kits on Thursday. Fresh salads are nice. Sell misc such as cedar planks, grill tools, seasonings etc. Easy in n out. Grilled the salmon burgers tonight 6/15...fabulous!!!!“
“Since New Wok hasn't reopened and prices at House of Emperor have slowly been raised thru the roof, we tried here and got 4 dishes we have ordered at many Chinese take out places or even in Chinatown. Here we go: Chicken Chop Suey-excellent! Sauce is tasty, plenty of bean sprouts and pea pods, good amount of tender chicken, trimmed nicely of any fat. Beef Fried Rice-very good. Although it had yellow onion instead of the more normal green onion, and scrambled egg was kinda sparse. Still very good. Beef With Broccoli-would have also been excellent except it had sweetness, I have always hated sugar added to my Americanized Chinese food. BBQ Pork Egg Foo Yung-same comment as the beef with broccoli. The gravy for the egg foo was VERY sweet. Too sweet for me! The only option is large which is 3 paddys not the usual 4. I think without the sugar it would have been very good. Purely take out here, it was obvious they used to have a sit down business at some point but not now. Extensive menu, see their website and either phone order or online order.“
“chicken Alfredo was excellent, they had comedians the day we went, and it was bust your gut funny ? I can’t think of the names of the comedian, but they did such a good job. We laughed all night long, good food good atmosphere good music good service.“
“Amazing experience from start to finish. The food was only surpassed by the service. I had the lamb chops that were cooked to perfection. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. At every location, you should expect and experience the same level of excellence.“
