“Amazing food and drinks, so many games to play off-the-shelf, and the staff members are super friendly. It's more than a Cafe, it feels like a cozy board game community that we just can't get enough of. Stay & Play is a great time, every time!“

“As RH furniture owners and lovers, we couldn’t wait to try the restaurant in their gallery. We did not have a reservation and got seated within 15 minutes. However, I would recommend a reservation in the future, even for lunch on a weekday, as it was really busy. The decor and ambience were beautiful. We got the lobster roll, chicken sandwich, and fries for food. The lobster roll was absolutely amazing - the lobster was cooked perfectly and not chewy whatsoever. I also appreciated that it was not drenched in mayo. The fries were crispy and seasoned well. My husband liked his sandwich. Our only complaint would be how slow the service was, which doesn’t seem to be the norm in Chicago.“
“First timers and now we will be regulars! The hospitality, atmosphere and fare were outstanding! From the knowledgeable staff, the welcoming management and the hostess that went WAY above and beyond to be sure my disabled husband was accommodated from when we booked our reservation to the end of our dining experience - we couldn’t have been more delighted! See you again soon, Lardon!“

“Food was good but even though I was a party of 1, they let people who signed up after me with a party of 2 and 3 go ahead of me, which I would have understood if they were giving me a smaller table. But they gave me the same size table as the ones they let go ahead of me but registered after I did. So there didn't seem to be any methodology on how they assigned tables. And I even said I didn't have a preference on inside or outside. Just first available knowing it's 48 degrees in November in Chicago.“

“I'm glad I found this little gem. The own is super welcoming and kind. The coffee was the best I've had I'm a long time and the food was amazing! And the prices were on point. It's a tight space and that's my only complaint, but I'm not even complaining. Go here, you'll be happy you did.
Vegetarian options: Small menu, in general, but a few vegan options.“

“Best coffee shop in IL, hands down. Pastries on point and rotate often. Espresso is always dialed in excellently. Been coming here since 2022 & never done me wrong, not once. Drew behind the bar has immaculate vibes among his other great baristas! Patio is a great spot too! Love the umbrellas!!!
Cocktails are bomb too, espresso martini & carajillo were awesome! HH from 3-6 has great beer choices!“

“This is a small neighborhood restaurant with excellent service and food. There is a nice selection of sandwiches. The daily specials which usually include a homemade soup with fresh bread are delicious and priced very economically. They also have homemade breads and deserts, all of which are very good.“

“It's amazing to see a chai place right across the street from the millennium Park Bean. I never would have thought in a million years. That Ginger cardamom tea really hit the spot on a freezing cold day. I make my own at home And this definitely passed the test. It was nice and packed a punch.“

“Lovely quirky local place that everyone in the neighborhood adores.
I love the hippie vibe of it, everyone working there is caring and love Spoken - it seems like more than just a work place, which is a great sign imo. In many coffee shops the to go or for here served in disposable plates and cups. Spoken is not like this. For your to stay you will get real bowls and spoons. So nice. And they encourage to bring your own mug. My kind of people!
Everything is delusions and unlike many places - Spoken has not succumbed to “shrinkflation” and your grits will be satisfying in taste and servicing size.
Oh and gluten free selection! Is outstanding. depending on a day - it really is an amazing variety and so goood that I am afraid to tell my non GF fiends to try as it is addictive good not just “I will settle for as I have to”.
Only downside- its devout following and small size means this place is busy. And I hope it will stay this way as I want Spoken in the hood for ever!“

“Broadway Cafe isn’t just a place to grab a pastry—it’s an adventure waiting to unfold. My journey began with a warm welcome from Samar, the spirited guide to this treasure trove of baked delights. As I scanned the display of tempting creations, Samar pointed out what would soon become the pinnacle of my dessert escapades: a towering masterpiece that redefined what a cannoli could be.
This wasn’t your average pastry. The top layer, a crisp cannoli shell filled with luscious custard, vanilla, and white chocolate cream, stood like the peak of a culinary mountain daring me to conquer it. Beneath it, a base so soft and rich it could have been mistaken for a cloud spun from sugar. Each bite was a thrilling expedition, as flavors burst like fireworks, keeping my taste buds on their toes.
But let me tell you, it wasn’t just the dessert that made the experience so unforgettable. The cafe exuded an old-world charm blended seamlessly with a modern flair. The whole place felt like a secret portal, whisking me away from the bustling streets of Chicago into a realm where pastries are not just food—they’re art.
Samar, with the enthusiasm of a pastry connoisseur and the wit of a stand-up comedian, ensured that every moment was as entertaining as it was delicious. The energy in the air was contagious, making it impossible not to laugh, savor, and let the adventure take its course.
If you’re ever in Chicago, skip the tourist traps. Broadway Cafe is where the real thrill lies—where a simple pastry becomes a tale of discovery, indulgence, and joy. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you, and your soul will come back for more.“

“What a great place! Place to play games and enjoy food and drinks while you are!
I would not rate this like a regular restaurant because I think it more focused on the game playing with some food. If you are going for the food, probably not your place. It’s good if you go expecting pretty basic stuff, like a microwaved quesadilla. However, everything else completely makes it a great place.
The staff is fantastic! They will suggest and/or bring you games from their huge selection. They will explain the games or let you learn on your own. We paid $7 each for a game pass, and played for almost 3 hours. There is $10 minimum order for food and drinks while you are there.
I had a root beer float and my daughter had a couple really nice craft beers. Saw other people’s snacks and things looked ok. A quesadilla and a veggie tray I remember.
My only small dislike is that the tables are really close together and it took me a bit to get comfortable with that.
We had a wonderful time!!“

“One of the friendliest spits in Chicago. The food is good - outstanding sausage, and you have to have their home-made salsa - and it's an incredible bargain, especially their breakfast "sidewalk special."“

“This family operated eatery was a great place to meet friends for quiet conservation. It would be a great date place as well. They will customize your order on request (one of our gang was. It about cilantro 🙄), a fresh mint herbal tea, and lechon (pork) with rice and plantains was mixed and matched for us. My arroz con pollo was delivered late as a chicken paella but very tasty nonetheless. They did not charge due to late arrival. The only weak spot was the Cuban sandwich - just not enough meat. So very friendly and informal…and almost a five star. We will be back!“

“I am well versed in food, and I truly love breakfast food. Planning our visit to Chicago was going to include a place to eat, and the decision settled with A Taste Of Heaven. I am so glad that we made that choice. The wait time was very acceptable for a late Sunday morning stop, and the staff were all welcoming, inviting, and graciously warm. On top of a perfect interaction and beautiful decor, the food was PERFECT!!! That is hands down the best plate of biscuits and gravy I've ever eaten. The other food at the table that I sampled didn't disappoint either. Carmel Apple French Toast with fresh whipped cream. Corned Beef and Hash. I will 100% be back, and will continue too recommend this to everyone.“

“4LW is one of the best cafes in the city for a picky coffee lover. They also have plenty of things to offer the casual coffee consumer. The baristas always stay calm under pressure which makes the experience really pleasant.
The only criticism I have is that some of their signatures are way too sweet. The Ube and Pandan Vanilla syrups, while delicious, have some of their notes drowned out by sweetness. I wish there was a half sweet option for these flavors.“

“Wonderful restaurant. Sorry I didn’t get to say “Hello” to Chef Bolaños. He was talking to some friends. We were dining there on Sunday. A wonderful guitarist playing. Perfect music for dining. Great tapas! Love, love, loved the Pulpo a la Planxta, the Patatas Barillos and the Melon con Jamon Serrano. The Mariscos Paella was good, but I missed the crispy bottom rice. Nice little place. Great menu that lights up. It’s BYOB, and fortunately there is a store across the street that has wine! If you forget to bring your own. Have already recommended it to others.“
