Our waitress taylor was incredible and the manager (so sorry but we never got his name because he was just being so nice to us) was incredible as well. “I am late writing my review but I had to write it !! I visited provare chicago On july 8th !! From start to finish this restaurant gets 5 starts . The decor was nice and set a perfect atmosphere for a great night . We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within 5 minutes of being there . Once seated the wait staff began their introduction's on drinks and popular menu item's. After my party ordered drinks and appetizers a gentleman came over (not sure if he was the manager) and introduce himself and made sure we were having a great experience. Appetizers were amazing!! We couldn't wait for dinner!! Our entrées we just as good if not better ! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection! When we didn't think the night could get even better the entire wait staff and the gentleman that came over before stopped and recognized my friend for her birthday and brought over a birthday surprise!! I live 307 miles and this place was definitely worth the drive !!!“

Moving our daughter into DePaul we came upon the owner of Red Light chicken who gave us a few pointers in parking near his establishment, after taking the time to help us find a spot he happily welcomed us with a free chicken sandwich which I’m happy to report was delicious. “I love this place, they have the best pitas in the city. Hands down. They’ve gone through I think 3 chefs in recent years as our waiter was explaining. But we both had the steak Laffa sand which and fries. 10/10 from both of us. It’s a sandwich I could eat daily. Tbh I feel like they gave too many fries, but they’re still really good, and the mango curry sauce mayo thing they give is unique, punchy and bright. We thought it was a curry mustard but it’s actually a mayo (I think).

We also learned you can buy the pita in bulk which is a game changer.“

The mango tarts were amazing, as were our lattes. We left with an apple hand pie to eat the following morning, which was still had perfectly crispy pastry. Definitely worth the hour wait to get in.“

“Best pasta I’ve had in so long. Had a great experience there, have had 4 different pastas: the fried truffle, the bucatini arabiata, the Torchio special, and the Cacio E Pepe. All of them are fantastic. They told me at the table once I inquired how they learned the recipes that the owner and his wife studied in Italy with the “Nonnas”. “I awoke this morning, filled with regret and resentment. I nearly stayed under my supple, cozy sheets. Yet, I prevailed. I stumbled upon this Elegant establishment. I needed something greasy and practical for a hangover. I also needed to watch the Minnesota gophers beat up Rutgers (do they even have a mascot)? I ordered the double smash burger, and went to work. The service was quick, very quick, which made me believe the burger would be subpar. My first bite awoke me. I was so back. Every following taste left me with childlike joy, much like a young Jack Slunecka frolicking through the South Dakota prairies. I can not recommend this establishment more. Thank you Parlay, not only for giving me strength. But, giving me the motivation to carry on, and make the world a better place. I Love you so so much.“

“This place is the coolest bar I have been to in a long time, hip and fun but not pretentious. They paid attention to every detail when building and designing. The white marbel bar has clean lines and looks fresh. All of the hardware finishes look sharp and clean. The patio is large and inviting with a fire place and plenty of tables to sit at. The drink menu is creative and refreshing and the staff is kind and welcoming. I cannot say enough good things about this gem of a bar. “My favorite ice cream in all of Chicago. Homemade fresh every single day so when they run out that’s it! I love that this is a small business with so much heart. The flavors are incredible. The goat cheese cashew caramel is my go to and a fan favorite. The Italian Cookie tastes exactly like biscoff cookies. Serving size is perfect. Each scoop is not too big nor too small, and every bite is packed with flavor. They have amazing options for vegans too, so many dairy free options and days where they only serve dairy free! Staff are super sweet, there is lovely little outdoor patio area with string lights and tables under shady trees. My favorite spot to grab ice cream with friends (or solo!) and sit awhile. I have been eating Black Dog for the last 5 years and I can’t recommend it enough.“

Great sushi pleasant store , very colorful but chill, one thing I didn’t expect was the floor was a little slippery , but looked clean may just be the type of tiles used or my shoe . Staff was pleasant and welcoming. Love the anime’s/gaming theme to store and names for the type of rolls, you could tell it was thought through and deliberate. Time between order and receiving the meal was quick …. I loved the Mario roll and crab Rangoons were more ish (would go back for this) .

“I have gone to Andros Taverna for many years now where I am never disappointed and always impressed with the service, the quality of food and ingredients, the atmosphere and the passion in general. Chef Doug Psaltis is a true expert and artist performing at the highest levels. The gyros are the best, best gyros in Chicago by far, the seafood world class, the homemade bread and pita are incredible. The foods and meats are cooked over wood fire, wood fire grilled. We had our daughters baptism catered from here which was excellent assortment of Greek food - this is a Greek restaurant you will go to for many years to come.“

“Love this new local coffee shop! I'm always on the lookout for a good independently owned coffee shop and this is at the top of my list. The iced coffee is amazing - the flavor has a slight sweetness to it which sets it apart from a lot of other brews I've had. The inside is small but has plenty of seating, so a great place to get studying/work done (plus free - reliable - wifi). The icing on the cake is that their mission is to support local shelter dogs - 50% of sales on their merchandise goes to Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. The dog-themed decor is also adorable. Highly recommend!!!“

“A great new spot for brunch! My husband and I went and it was busy but we were able to sit right away. I'm gluten free and I LOVE that everything is labeled with an easy to read GF symbol so it helps me identify what I can and can't eat. The gluten free buttermilk pancakes were excellent. My husband had the corn beef skillet and he said his bloody mary was great as well! We'll definitely be back! Felisa was super friendly and made sure to answer my questions about gluten precautions.“

“Shoutout to the Rittenhouse location. We are at Chop with our 4 year old son who just had surgery. I figured after the day we had let’s have some cookies. I placed an order from Levain on door dash. My wife after the long day she had put in the wrong address on the door dash order and the driver called screaming at me and wouldn’t come 1.3 miles to bring them even after explaining the circumstances. Door dash refunded my whole order without me even asking and I called Levain and they went above and beyond. They gave us cookies on the house and even threw in an extra chocolate chip and delivered them to CHOP. Not only are the cookies fabulous the hospitality is second to none. I am a lifelong customer to this location and want to thank everyone at the Rittenhouse location especially Mat who went above and beyond. Thanks again!“

“Lusha Pizza serves up a seriously good pie. Classic New York-style with a flavorful, perfectly balanced sauce and cheese combo. The undercarriage is just right: crispy with a nice char. I ordered it to go, and while the crust was a little chewy once it cooled down, that’s to be expected with takeout. Fresh out of the oven, I bet it’s even better. Highly recommend if you're craving authentic, no-nonsense NY-style pizza!“
