Miss Maria knew we were stressed out, she was there to take care of us. We were in town for my cousins funeral and Miss Maria was most accommodating of our needs. “This place is great! I come here often because my boyfriend plays music here with his bands. The food is amazing! The fries are my favorite. There’s also a really great server here every time I come. I don’t know his name, but he has long black hair that is usually tied back. He’s really nice to me. And he doesn’t judge me for my neurodivergent tendencies lol like wearing sound canceling headphones and stimming. He’s my favorite person that works here. Also, my boyfriend enjoys playing here. It’s beautiful inside and out. It’s really clean too. It also doesn’t get too crazy here. It’s family friendly. I’m not sure what ages are allowed, but I’ve seen some kids in here before. Highly recommend this place!

“Went last night reserved a party of 6 but another friend showed up and Anthony the owner accommodated us. We ordered half the menu including the star of the show being the tomahawk steak. We shared all items buffet style sampling all dishes. Everything was excellent and everyone in the party was thoroughly impressed!“

“Fantastic elevated food in a contemporary sunlit space with a water view. Well worth the drive for us. I started with the butternut squash and apple soup and a arugula salad with baked goat cheese, and my husband chose the creamy cauliflower soup and mixed green salad with currants and blueberries. The soups were both rich and flavorful. The salads were delayed in coming (perhaps because they had run out of arugula as my salad contained another leaf lettuce) but both salads were very good. The bread on the table was baked in house, also very good. We both had the hangar steak with whipped potatoes and sauteed spinach. Excelkent! We weren't asked how we wanted the steaks done but they arrived as we prefer them, medium with a warm pink center, with a charred crust and a slightly smoky flavor as if wood grilled. Perfect! A brownie sundae completed our meal. We will definitely be back.“

“After a week of travel for this Mom, the last thing I wanted to do was to make dinner. This isn't the first time we've been to Glen Prairie and I knew it was just the place I wanted to go. The atmosphere is warm, but quiet. Perfect for a good family catchup. The food is comforting without being too heavy and the wine, beer and cocktail selection is the perfect pairing. We've had the pleasure of being served by Anna a few times now and she does a great job. She is attentive and watchful, without being overbearing which is a difficult skill to master for a lot of servers. Aside from that, I love that it is a safe place for folks with food allergies and I feel very well taken care of in respect to that issue. I can tell that everyone from the hosts to the servers to the bartenders to the kitchen staff are very well trained in creating a safe and welcoming experience for each guest. Glen Prairie is quickly becoming one of our go to family favorite restaurants and we will definitely be back!“

“We stumbled upon The Tasty Biscuit while in town for a wedding and ended up coming back twice—it was that good. Despite a packed parking lot both mornings, we were seated right away thanks to their fast, efficient service. The coffee was excellent, the menu was full of creative and classic options, and the food itself? Quite possibly the best breakfast we’ve ever had. On our second visit, we even recognized some familiar faces from the day before—clearly, we weren’t the only ones hooked! If you’re anywhere near this place, don’t miss the chance to stop in. “My mom and I like to meet at wineries/ wine bars once a month that halfway for us (parents live in Crystal Lake and I live in LaSalle). Goat and Vine was an excellent restaurant with delicious food and a variety of top notch wines! On top of that, our server made our first time experience that much better; I highly recommend!!“

“I would give this place 100 stars if able! I had to plan a rehearsal luncheon for my son's wedding in Joliet in mid May with only 2 months notice. Since we live in North Carolina, I had to do all the research online. Thank heaven I came across SixtyFour Reserve Room in a Google search. The manager, Andrew, contacted me right away and was so helpful in making suggestions for our event. Cheryl, the events manager, took over in finalizing all the arrangements. There are so many different options for appetizers, meal combinations, wine, cocktails and beer! Our guests were able to choose their favorites ahead of time. When we arrived on the day of the event, we were so delighted by the venue! Everything I had requested was in place, and Cheryl and our amazing server/bartender, Alex, immediately greeted us and made everyone feel welcome. The appetizers and meals were served efficiently and right on the timeline I had planned. The food was incredibly delicious with a pleasing presentation. Our guests had so much fun with the Wine Stations, and the whiskey lovers appreciated the variety of choices. Everyone raved about how much they enjoyed the food, drink and ambiance. Best of all, I was able to relax and enjoy our guests since all the work was done by Andrew, Cheryl, Alex and the kitchen staff. The cost was very reasonable, especially so close to Chicago.
