“I’ve been to Greece four different times, and I can tell you right now — Greek Islands gets as close to authentic Greek food as you can possibly get without boarding a flight to Athens.

The food was simply amazing. The chicken kebabs were perfectly seasoned, juicy, and grilled exactly the way they do it overseas. And the Mediterranean chicken with rice Wow. Full of flavor, tender, and seasoned in a way that instantly brings you back to a seaside taverna. Every bite tasted fresh no shortcuts here.

The calamari was so fresh, I could’ve sworn Poseidon brought the octopus in himself. Lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and incredibly tender — not rubbery at all. That’s how you know it’s the real deal.

The restaurant was super busy, and honestly, I could tell why. When a place is packed like that, it usually means one thing: they’re doing something right. The aesthetics of the restaurant are super cool too — it has that vibrant, warm Greek vibe that makes the whole experience feel authentic and lively.

Their barista is a freaking genius when it comes to their specialty drinks. I would eat here everyday if I could. If you love soft pretzels gnarly is the place to be.”

Perfect.

Also, during our 3 day stay at the hotel - every breakfast was delicious and served by such caring, nice people. Easier to get the day started with service like that.

“I stopped by the Sbarro at Yorktown Mall and had a great experience. The staff behind the counter were very friendly and welcoming, which really stood out. I ordered the baked ziti combo with a breadstick and a drink, and everything came out hot and fresh.

The baked ziti was hearty and comforting — loaded with pasta, plenty of melted cheese, and topped with a generous layer of sauce. It tasted just right for a quick mall meal, filling without being too heavy. The breadstick was the real surprise: baked golden with seasoning and a little crunch on the outside, but still soft and warm inside. Perfect for dipping into the ziti sauce.

The portion sizes were generous, the food came out quickly, and the seating area upstairs by the big windows was clean with a nice view out to the parking lot and trees. It made for a relaxed lunch break.

Overall, this Sbarro feels like a solid choice when you’re at Yorktown Mall — friendly people, tasty pasta, and fresh bread that hits the spot.”

“First the food was actually really great. The Korean ribeye was what I’ve been missing being a California native that’s used to eating Polynesian and Asian food. Pizza, Spinach dip, and the Martinis was not the best but good fruit mixes. Despite a few mix ups my sisters and I enjoyed the place. BIG ovation to the manager on duty Monday evening that listened and addressed the issue promptly. The staff are very professional and I’m looking forward to another visit soon. Great job guys!!!”

But they told me how much of a valued customer I was, they offered my wife and I complementary sodas while we wait and threw a free 12in double dough pizza on top of what we ordered. We wanted to try the funnel cake and they ended up not making us pay(which was around $15). They said it was on them, nothing wrong with it, they just wanted to do it for my boys. “I went with a friend today for the first time. We were not sure at first entering because we saw no host. Then she came up after seating someone and took us to our table. We had Pat for a server. He was definitely the best I have ever had. Pat was outstanding as he took time to go over the emu and the point system with us. She gave great recommendations, shared the history of the store, and truly made me feel like she cared. You don’t experience that level of service at many places anymore. “Driving past and saw that this was opening I am assuming it is the karate boys from Canada. I tried it there a few weeks ago. I’m hoping just just as great here.
The only tip I would give the restaurant is the Naans weren’t that great they weren’t like true Naans and secondly, I think Canadian Indian food is second best in the world after England so no slight on the Indian food here but it’s nowhere near the standard. I am looking forward to trying this place eventually when it opens and read reviews are based on food, service, ambience and quality.”
