From the very beginning, Karen was so responsive and accommodating, making the planning process easy and stress-free. On the day of the event, the service was excellent—Bella was truly outstanding and went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. The wine selection was also a highlight and loved by our guests. Overall, it was a wonderful celebration, and I would definitely hold another event at Broken Earth in the future.”

“The first time I stopped by Long Grove Coffee Co., I wasn’t even there for coffee, I was checking out a nearby building! Mary (who I believe is the owner) was outside and immediately greeted me with the warmest smile. She went way above and beyond, sharing all about the magic and history of Long Grove, and even gave us a little tour! I left thinking, “We’re definitely coming back soon.”

Fast-forward a bit, my daughter and I returned on a chilly day for some cozy hot chocolate. Everyone had already ordered, so I let my 4-year-old place her own order. The person behind the counter was so kind, so patient, and made her feel so special.

Between Mary’s heart, the amazing atmosphere, and that sweet mix of coffee and candy shop vibes, this place is an absolute gem. I’m so grateful for this one-of-a-kind spot. Thank you, Long Grove Coffee Co.! ☕🍫✨”

“We sort of fell upon Joanie's when we went to the Strawberry Festival in Long Grove and it was the star attraction for all of us!!! My husband and I had the most delicious salad that we completely devoured in record time along with that mouthwatering cheesy pizza that we ordered along with it!!! My Mom and Aunt ordered the chicken and Mom commented...."Now that's the way chicken is supposed to be made!!!" They were served a large tray with 4 LARGE pieces of chicken, potatoes, and long buns!!! They took half of it home and had it for dinner tonight!!! But the piece de resistance was the hot homemade strawberry rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream that seriously 4 of us shared!!!! Wow!!! What a treat!!! Oh... and....Our meals were served Hot....not cold....HOT...out of the oven.....again, the way a meal should be served! HOT!!! ha ha ha...The ambience was fun and the view of the water from our vantage point was just breathtaking!!! Our server Derrick was such a nice young man! He was professional, made certain that we were ok, and went back and forth many times for those extra things that we needed for our meal!!! I'm certain that it was very hectic for all of the servers during the fest, but they handled the crowds so well!!! Again, we were just thrilled to have stumbled on Joanie's!!! It's worth going back for seconds, thirds, fourths....etc....ha ha ha”

“Went there on 6/22/22. We ate outside and were pleased to have a musician playing on the patio. The food was excellent as was the service. Bring your appetite and still expect to take home leftovers. Classic menu of steaks, chops, sandwiches and top notch BBQ. This will be a mainstay for us moving forward. “BEST Italian food in Illinois, this place is absolutely amazing. We got the poblano soup and the rigatoni alla traverstin and it was the best pasta and soup I have ever had. I requested it to be spicy, and they made it exactly how I wanted it, it was wonderful! My husband ordered his without the spice and it was just as amazing. Also, it is very refreshing to have a restaurant where all of the waiter and waitresses have conversations with the guests, it was so great to see. We had Susanna and her sister and they were so sweet to us. They all are so hospitable and genuinely great people. We have tried many many Italian restaurants in the area, and this is by far the best one and a must try.”

Loved Aloo & cauliflower dish My partner enjoyed robust Dal dish which had veggie tidbits to round out flavor. we loved the food here. Best Indian fare in the area!”

“We celebrated my daughter’s birthday at Medieval Times and she absolutely loved it! The food was hot when served and very good. The entertainment was fantastic from start to finish — engaging, exciting, and perfect for all ages.

The venue was very clean overall, and the staff truly stayed in character the entire time. They were excellent at reading the crowd and interacting in a way that made the experience even more fun and memorable.
