“First time at Tonality. Early dinner. Molly was our server and had 2 excellent reco's. For me it was the Gnocchi which was a plate cleaner. The combo of gnocchi with mushroom and asparagus was smart. The sauce was lemony and tasted a bit like vinegar which I liked. My wife had the pork Schnitzel with spatzel. The breading was dark and tasty. The portion was huge. She loved it. I had a tasty Amber Ale with dinner. Cool brewery atmosphere in an open space. Highly recommend.“
“These people have figured it out. The atmosphere is great, the beer is great, the people are great. I sat at the bar with a friend and everyone working there took the time to talk to us and answer questions. They were so welcoming and helpful. Terrific experience.“
“Way beyond all expectations. Delicious, delicious, delicious. Finally a new sceneof beer in the area. Well thought out brew and beverege, great crew behind the product. Knowledgeable, creative and humble. Absolutely great things currently and to come. Stay on the look out as Sundial will surely be all over Chicagoland. ?“
“This is definitely a hidden gem in a strip mall in Mundalein. Welcoming and knowledgeable host. Excellent beers. I really enjoyed the English Ale and Bavarian Wheat I tried. I bought a branded howler and will certainly be returning for regular refills.“
“Great selection of beers. You can get pints or flights. An excellent space. We came for trivia night and it was packed, but we still got served in a timely manner. The giant pretzel was good. Lots of places in the area deliver here, so even though there are no real food options on the menu you can get something delivered.“
“This place is HOME! I live out of state and everytime I’m back to visit the fam for the holidays, my best friend and I make a point to stop in an have a few pints. The service is always stellar, the vibe is always fun and the beer is always delicious! Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place! The new renovations just add to an already-above-and-beyond experience! <3 thank you, Tighthead!“
“Great beer (the only thing you really need), and it definitely has the low-key vibe you seek. While it is a small space, they make it work and have every board game you can think of. I even take my kids occasionally since they can play with games. Fun spot, check it out.“
“We ended up here by accident and really enjoyed ourselves! Our lunch plans got upended while we were enroute and saw this place and decided to give it a try.Walked in, got the spiel from the guys at the counter and collected our "cards" so we could use the dispensers.Ordered lunch, tried quite a few of the brews and even played a couple of rounds of games we selected from the expansiveselection. We all enjoyed our food, except for the banana pudding - it was really grainy. It's easy to go a little crazy with the beer/cider/wine dispensers as it's all priced by the ounce, we spent about $20 per person. If we're in the neighborhood I'm sure we would stop in again as it was a fun afternoon.I'm sure this place gets hopping in the summer time with their big patio.“
“Sat in booth by front door. Had people looking over the side of booth. Had kids standing on bench and banging on booth. It was so loud in restaurant that I couldn't hear any conversations in our booth. FISH FRY was delicious. Food was hot and choice of sides was great. Maybe put in a waiting area so people that are eating can enjoy their meal without being stared at and asked questions “how's the fish tonight”?“
“Drove over an hour here because of the rave review my friend gave us to try the food here. Our server Maria was so friendly and welcoming. We started off with the cheese curds and the morning after is a must try appetizer. The truffle burger was delish and the salmon with the fingerling potaoes were amazzzing. Ace guava and frozen tundra are the beers we tried and they also did not disappoint.“
“We decided to stop here for a few beers. It looked great from the outside, so hey, go for it!We sat outside around a huge fire-pit. The staff was able to move tables and chairs around for a group of 11 for we can sit and enjoy the warmth. Great gesture by them. I had their Oktoberfest beer but what I really enjoyed is their IPA, Alter Ego. It is a very smooth refreshing beer. The kitchen was closed when we arrived but their beer selection is good. The service provided this evening was excellent. Worth a try if you are in the Palatine area.“
