The food is very very good and you know it's a great place to go when there is a wait line, sometimes out the door. You have the option to eat outside in good weather. My husband and I always try to get the cozy two seater table in the little nook by the window. The food is very tasty and plenty of flowing coffee. “Saw this place plenty of times on social media and finally gave it a try today. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak combo with fries and a drink; also got a 6 piece buffalo wings. Ended up getting 2 of their homemade ranches, which have this great dill flavor. Everything was absolutely delicious especially because it’s all cooked in beef tallow. The cheesesteak had a generous portion of steak and cheese on it, all served on this fresh seeded bread that had a delicious garlic bread taste. The buffalo wings were great too. Everything was cooked fresh but the star was that dill ranch. I put it on everything and it just amplified the flavors. Definitely going to be visiting again, highly recommended.“

“Had a fantastic experience at Epic Burger in Barrington! Having halal options is huge for us, and the food here is made fresh and delicious. I ordered the halal beef burger, and my daughter loved her halal chicken sandwich. A special shoutout to the manager, Arthur, who provided an outstanding service and made our visit wonderful. He assured us that there is no cross contamination and when my daughter ordered her shake, she was skeptical about the whipped cream (from Oberwise) so Arthur made sure that the whipped cream was not Gelatin based. “We went with our Burger Club to Lucky Burgers (a.k.a. Jelly Cafe after dark or 4pm, whichever comes first).

Jelly Cafe is a breakfast and lunch place open 7am until 2pm. Then they switch over to Lucky Burgers which is open from 4pm until no one is there and they want to go home. Though technically I think they’re open until 8 or 9pm.

There are a handful of items on the Lucky Burgers’ menu: about 5 variations of their classic burger, a chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, and waffle fries.

When we went, the place was empty and never got busy. Which opened the door for one of the owners, Scott, to regale us with tales of days gone by from his childhood in Evanston and the famous people he knew, grew up with, and worked with. It was nice hearing these stories and it was nice to give Scott something and somebodies to talk to as well.

The place has a large parking lot and is nice and clean on the inside. There is a tiny area with slot machines and a small bar/counter at the entrance.

The burgers are all smashburgers. They come as singles or double patties. Go for the double as there’s not a whole lot of meat once they’re smashed. The differences are the toppings. Scott recommends their housemade dijonaise sauce which is good, but ask for it on the side. The cook slathers it on the burger and that’s all you can taste. Once I scooped (you read that correctly) the sauce off my burger, it was a pretty good burger. The meat is seasoned well and cooked nicely and the bun holds up (despite dripping in dijonaise).

We all shared the chicken tenders as an appetizer. Five nice sized tenders come in the meal and you can choose your dipping sauce. Scott recommended their honey mustard which was very good and the ranch wasn’t bad either.

He is also johnny-on-the-spot to refill fill your drinks. I seriously thought that I would float away.

The best part is the price. All said and done for a burger, waffle fries, and a soda, with tax and tip is like $15-$18 bucks.

It’s a nice place that I need to go back to and visit for the Jelly Cafe side. AND return for their burgers, tenders, and more of Scott’s stories.“

“I had a really great experience at IHOP, and I especially want to recognize our waiter Manuel Salazar because he honestly made the whole visit so much better. From the moment we were seated, he was extremely friendly, respectful, and welcoming. He checked on us regularly without being overbearing and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

What stood out the most was his attitude. He was patient, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we were having a good experience. Even when the restaurant was busy, he stayed positive and attentive, which I really appreciated. He made sure our food came out correctly, kept our drinks taken care of, and checked in to make sure everything was good.

It’s easy to overlook good service, but having a waiter who is actually friendly and puts effort into taking care of his customers makes a huge difference. He made us feel comfortable and welcomed instead of like we were just another table. You could tell he takes his job seriously and takes pride in giving good service.

The food was good, but honestly, the service was the highlight of the visit. I would definitely come back to this IHOP again, especially knowing that the staff has people like him who care about their customers. He deserves recognition for the effort he puts into his work. “I don't even know where to start. We went after graduation with our sailor. It wasn't crowded and everyone was so nice and so helpful. We ordered individual meals and an additional deep dish pizza (which was DELICIOUS) and it wasn't too expensive at all. Everyone enjoyed the variety of their individual meals and we definitely loved the pizza. The customer service had a great hometown feel and we felt right at home.“

“I’ve been meaning to leave this review for some time but life gets hectic and busy and I know these fine business owners understand that all too well. Hubbys has the best hotdogs hands down! My kids LOVE their cheese fries!
But it’s not just the food that keeps us coming back, it’s the owners and staff too! They are always friendly, we’re greeted with exceptional service everytime!
We hired their hotdog cart for a family 4th of July party this year and it was the best addition to our celebration! Even through torrential downpours, Hubby’s delivered with a happy smile! The cart was set up (under a tent of course) and hotdogs were prepared perfectly and we all enjoyed celebrating with good ol American hotdogs!
So if you’re looking for a quick and friendly bite to eat, stop in!
If you’re looking to cater an event, definitely consider Hubby’s Hotdog carts!
Either way, you won’t be disappointed!

“Kooker’s is my favorite lunch time spot when I’m at the office for the day. They make their own natural cut fries that I love cooked well done. They have daily specials that are great deals, although all of their prices are fair. They have limited seating, but you can call ahead and pick up an order and I think they do delivery. When there, make sure you look at the specialty board that is to the right of the register. There you will find items that are not on the regular menu. Today I had the poutine with pulled pork—amazing. I highly recommend this locally-owned burger (and a lot more) joint.“

“This is an amazing decades long family owned destination for the VERY BEST hot wings! The seating is comfortable inside and outside!
The wings are superb, meaty, fresh, cooked to perfection and sauced how wings are supposed to be. Great sauce choices and sides as well as other meal items.

“I've been here three times in the past year and have been wowed each time. The employees are always nice and accommodating. The food is perfect each time, the bathrooms and restaurant itself are very clean, and the space is welcoming!
