“The perfect bar, I fear. I can’t believe I have ANY pictures in this place because I’m always just talking to someone or playing pool or queueing up songs on the jukebox. There’s something about this place that you can’t really take a picture of: the people are always friendly and chill, you can tell it has a low staff turnover rate, the food is ALWAYS good. This is the kind of bar which would be the ultimate muse for a poet from the 1800s. My one drink photo is an espresso martini that was made with love, but know that they put just as much love into every beer they pour. It just isn’t as instagrammable.“

I used to live in Highland Indiana and I took public transportation which it was GPTC bus to Downtown Hammond, and pace bus from Downtown Hammond Indiana to Downtown Harvey Illinois, and pace 349 from Harvey Transportation Center to 111th and Western, and CTA Route #112 bus from 111th and Western to 111th and Kedzie. Well now since I finally move to Chicago Auburn Gresham with my fiancé, and now I live 15 minutes away. I take 79th Street bus from 79th and Ashland to 79th and Kedzie, and transfer to CTA Route #52A Southbound and go all way to 111th and Kedzie. I’m even more glad you guys reopened which I had no idea where you guys relocated at Thanks to my friend Tracy for telling me where it is. I went there with my fiancé Raymon. I’m so glad you guys are amazing, and the service was great too. I’ll be back. This place is even very affordable.“

“Caraway’s Bar & Grill is such a hidden gem! It’s a family-owned bar and grill and you can truly feel that warm, welcoming energy the moment you walk in. The owners are incredibly inviting and friendly!
The atmosphere is great. The food was amazing. The hot honey flatbread was our favorite we almost ordered two! And the poutine? So good. The brown gravy they put on the fries was delish.
We went on Monday they had drink specials so we had gotten $9 margarita, I tried the cucumber jalapeño margarita and it was SO good, the perfect mix of refreshing and spicy.
It was also such a nice touch that the chef came out and introduced himself. You can tell they genuinely care about their food and their guests.
Highly recommend checking this place out, we’ll definitely be back, especially in the summer when they open up the large windows for that perfect warm vibe!“

Blake is an excellent bartender and host who makes you feel at home. He has a friendly personality and always has a smile on his face. Megan is a wonderful waitress who is friendly and outgoing. Best of all she makes us feel special because she always remembers what we like best. The owner (Roger) is a great person and always greets us with a big smile. “Social Junkie is one the top 3 best bars in the dunning area. I’ve been coming here since they rebranded and it’s always been a fun time! Great drink selections and their food is outstanding. I’ve tried a couple of different items from their menu over the years and I recently got their Parma burger and fries. They were both delightful and it’s one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. I can’t explain it, but the taste was so unique and also very affordable compared to other bar and grills in the city. It’s a worth a visit when you are in the dunning area!“

“We held a celebration of life for my brother here today. About 50 in attendance in the stylish, comfortable upstairs area. Despite the fact that I planned this from 400 miles away and without having ever seen the venue, it went off without a hitch due to Mr. David Candiotti and his staff. No surprises. Everything was as promised. The venue is extremely stylish and rustic. Food was delicious and plentiful as were the drinks. Service was fast, efficient and friendly thanks to Mona, Alberto and Olena. “About seven months ago, I moved to the Wicker Park/Logan Square area and decided that the best way to get to know my new neighborhood was to explore the bars along Milwaukee Avenue. I am so glad I came across Swig.

I arrived alone and was feeling extremely shy, but your employee, Eric, gave me an amazing experience that I truly appreciate. I had a blast! His energy made me feel incredibly welcome because of the wonderful service he provided, I am planning to make Swig a regular weekend hangout spot and look forward to bringing a group of friends with me next time.

When I started going both sides were jumping the drinks were on point and affordable but now it’s that one side and it’s a lil dead & a lot of times closed! 😒 I don’t know want this place to die out like every other place . Pool playing is pretty big there so If you like to play some serious pool then this is a good place to come... Prices are good for everything here... They have tvs for all kinds of sports but usually no audio because jukebox music is playing... Super cool place to hang out for a little bit.“
