“The perfect bar, I fear. I can’t believe I have ANY pictures in this place because I’m always just talking to someone or playing pool or queueing up songs on the jukebox. There’s something about this place that you can’t really take a picture of: the people are always friendly and chill, you can tell it has a low staff turnover rate, the food is ALWAYS good. This is the kind of bar which would be the ultimate muse for a poet from the 1800s. My one drink photo is an espresso martini that was made with love, but know that they put just as much love into every beer they pour. It just isn’t as instagrammable.“

“My wife and I visited Chief O’Neil’s last night for a late drink during a quick trip to Chicago. We were personally greeted and served by proprietor Anluan McKinney who took great care of us and told us about the pub’s history. The food and drinks were wonderful and the pub was clean, comfortable, and authentic. It may be my favorite Irish pub in the US.“

“Great spot to grab a bite and a beer.

They have a lot of different options on draft, and also have a great selection of higher end whiskey and tequila.

When I swung by they had two gluten free beers on their menu, unfortunately they were out of both, but glad that they offer them at least.

“We just happened to fall on this wonderful little gem! We had a delicious FAK burger, poutine, onion rings, and grandma's cheesy smashed potatoes. The burger was fantastic! The rest I can't complain about either! Our server was the owners' son. So kind and nice to talk with! We're not from the area, but it might be worth the drive to go back! We were on our way back to Indiana from O'hare, so it's not our of the way! We were there on a Saturday and they were having live music later in the evening. There's an outside seating area and inside tables as well. Outside area is also open in winter with it enclosed and heaters! Great place to watch your favorite Chicago team!“

“They have the best cheeseburger in Chicago. I went there in 2012, and 2013 on Kedzie, and omg it’s the best. I used to live in Highland Indiana and I took public transportation which it was GPTC bus to Downtown Hammond, and pace bus from Downtown Hammond Indiana to Downtown Harvey Illinois, and pace 349 from Harvey Transportation Center to 111th and Western, and CTA Route #112 bus from 111th and Western to 111th and Kedzie. Well now since I finally move to Chicago Auburn Gresham with my fiancé, and now I live 15 minutes away. I take 79th Street bus from 79th and Ashland to 79th and Kedzie, and transfer to CTA Route #52A Southbound and go all way to 111th and Kedzie. I’m even more glad you guys reopened which I had no idea where you guys relocated at Thanks to my friend Tracy for telling me where it is. I went there with my fiancé Raymon. I’m so glad you guys are amazing, and the service was great too. I’ll be back. This place is even very affordable.“

Blake is an excellent bartender and host who makes you feel at home. He has a friendly personality and always has a smile on his face. Megan is a wonderful waitress who is friendly and outgoing. “We held a celebration of life for my brother here today. About 50 in attendance in the stylish, comfortable upstairs area. Despite the fact that I planned this from 400 miles away and without having ever seen the venue, it went off without a hitch due to Mr. David Candiotti and his staff. No surprises. Everything was as promised. The venue is extremely stylish and rustic. Food was delicious and plentiful as were the drinks. Service was fast, efficient and friendly thanks to Mona, Alberto and Olena. I highly recommend.“

“Visited from STL and this time the owner was there. Very chill laid back good time. This particular night they had karaoke, which was fun. The bartenders are friendly and know how to pour. This place gave me 'Cheers' vibes (loved the banter between the patrons and the proprietor) we got the BLT which was super tasty. “About seven months ago, I moved to the Wicker Park/Logan Square area and decided that the best way to get to know my new neighborhood was to explore the bars along Milwaukee Avenue. I am so glad I came across Swig.

I arrived alone and was feeling extremely shy, but your employee, Eric, gave me an amazing experience that I truly appreciate. I had a blast! His energy made me feel incredibly welcome because of the wonderful service he provided, I am planning to make Swig a regular weekend hangout spot and look forward to bringing a group of friends with me next time.

“Had a great time here! Food was delicious and cooked perfectly. We had the Brussel Sprouts, add the hot honey, a Fish and Chips with an upgrade side of truffle fries, and a Veggie burger. Beers on draft were great, and we had made it in time for happy hour pricing. Staff was attentive and very nice. The place is very spacious and on a upper level. There is an elevator for the handicap accessible, but make sure to ask for assistance!“

“I had heard so many great things about this place and was really excited to finally try the food 🍔🤤. Unfortunately, I found out they only allow guests who are 25+, so I wasn't able to eat there 😕. It would be awesome if they offered a takeout option for people who can't get in. I was definitely disappointed because I came hungry and had been looking forward to the meal 😅. The only positive part of my visit was that the security staff were very respectful and polite 👍. Hopefully they'll consider adding more accessible options in the future!“

“The Ambuance is amazing... Super chill and laid back... Regulars take a little while to warm up to new comers but when they come around they are some of the friendliest ppl I ever met... Pool playing is pretty big there so If you like to play some serious pool then this is a good place to come... Prices are good for everything here... They have tvs for all kinds of sports but usually no audio because jukebox music is playing... Super cool place to hang out for a little bit.“
