“Sure! I had an amazing experience at Mr. Submarine at 8542 Ogden Ave in Lyons, IL. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm, friendly service that made me feel truly welcomed. The staff was attentive, polite, and eager to make sure I had everything I needed, which really stood out.
I ordered a combo sub and a pizza puff, and I have to say, it was exactly what I needed. The food came out fast and fresh, which was a relief since it was the first thing I had eaten all day. The combo sub was packed with flavor, with perfectly sliced meats, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of seasoning. The bread was soft yet sturdy, holding everything together without getting soggy. The pizza puff was crispy, cheesy, and delicious, adding the perfect touch to my meal.
Not only was the food top-notch, but the overall experience was fantastic. The staff really goes the extra mile to ensure customers leave happy, and that level of service is rare to find these days. I left feeling completely satisfied and already looking forward to my next visit. “The concept for the menu is a unique trip along the Pan-American highway with stops at various Latin countries. Each dish and drink is thoughtful in its ingredients and presentation. The jicama salad was refreshing, but not at all plain. The pastel de choclo was a wonderful surprise of a warm dish. The frozen el arenal was seriously dangerous in how delicious it was, I can’t recommend it enough. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. We are so thrilled to have this gem in the neighborhood and can’t wait to see what they do in the future!“

“I was in town for a concert and looking for healthy food in the neighborhood. I came across IncrediBOWLS and we walked over to the spot. Once we got there, I was confused because the building had a different name, turns out IncrediBOWLS was a ghost kitchen service during Covid and he implemented it into the main menu because everyone liked it. Once I got in and checked out the menu, I ordered the Gainz bowl. It was incredible, service was great, atmosphere was incredible. Will definitely come back if I'm in town again.“

“Tried Pizza Matta for the first time tonight. Excellent cheese blend, a satisfying butter crust (not overly buttery like Lou’s!) and a delightful crunch. “This location of Olive Garden turned out to be a really great experience 🍝✨ Everything felt organized and well-managed, which made the whole visit smooth and enjoyable from the start. We were seated almost immediately with barely any wait ⏱️😊, which is always a big plus!
The service was attentive and friendly throughout our meal 👏🙂 — we felt well taken care of without being overwhelmed. Of course, the salad and breadsticks were just as amazing as always 🥗🥖, fresh and super tasty. Our pasta dishes came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor 🔥🍝.
We specifically came for the unlimited pasta bowl deal, and it did not disappoint 😍 We tried a few different combinations, but honestly, the classic Alfredo and the meat sauce were the clear winners 🏆👌 — simple but so good!

“The four of us had a great time at this local gem. We had curry with rice, drunken noodles, and two orders of “chef’s gone crazy”—the chef cooked whatever he wanted for us and they were both pleasant surprises! Everything was delicious, and I have to say that their 3/5 spice level is a pretty solid 3/5. You could definitely taste the spiciness, but it wasn’t the main star of the show. If you like your food spicy, I’d say even go higher.“

“This food was surprisingly good. It was my first time visiting. The drink my friend got was weak though and there was a customer inside while we were eating talking way too loud and vulgar for the small space of the restaurant. The chef knows how to cook, at least the one that was there that day. Also the salsa and chips were phenomenal or maybe I was just hungry! Overall it was worth the trip.“

“Slice Factory never disappoints! The pizza is always super fresh and loaded with flavor. You can tell they care about quality. The staff is awesome too, super friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better.
But let me tell you… the wings are next-level. Crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. easily some of the best I’ve had. And if you’ve never tried their Nutella bites, you’re missing out big time. They’re warm, delicious, and honestly heavenly.

“I stopped by Pop's Italian Beef today with my usual plan of attack — the legendary ribeye steak sandwich that normally has my name written all over it. But then I saw the sign…
“Mondays in March – 46th Anniversary Special.”
And suddenly my carefully crafted sandwich strategy went right out the window. Instead of the steak sandwich, I audibled and went with three of the cheeseburger specials, because at those prices it felt almost irresponsible not to participate in the celebration.
Apparently the entire population of Lyons had the exact same idea.
The place was absolutely slammed. The poor girls behind the counter — Cecilia and Celeste — were running around in circles like contestants in the Italian Beef Olympics. Orders flying, people everywhere, the grill working overtime. They were hustling nonstop and doing their best to keep the whole operation moving.
Because of the anniversary madness, I ended up waiting quite a while for my food. At one point I started wondering if I might still be standing there when they roll out the banner for their 47th anniversary.
But when the burgers finally arrived? Totally worth it. Juicy, cheesy, messy in the way a proper burger should be — the kind where you need a pile of napkins and absolutely no dignity while eating it.
So yes, the wait was real, but between the great food, the anniversary chaos, and Cecilia and Celeste working like absolute champions, it was still a memorable stop.
Pro tip: If you see an anniversary special at Pop’s… bring your patience. The reward at the end is still delicious.“
