“The service was amazing and very attentive. The food was freakin delicious and nice sized portions. I had the Yum Yum Shrimp bento box, tried the ABC roll and crab sushi rolls, shrimp tempura, and everything was amazing. Their mango boba tea is also fantastic!! We will keep coming for sure! Also it was my birthday and they brought out a free tiramisu with a candle and sung happy birthday to me!! ??”
“We love this place! Quality ice cream with lots of flavors to choose from, including dairy-free for those with intolerances or allergies; they are one of the few places which offer gluten-free cones. Staff is always friendly. Great shaved ice options as well.”

“My friend and i had lunch at Bean Tree Cafe today. The building is on Main Street so parking is limited around lunch time. The inside has two rooms with maybe a dozen tables. The waitress was very accommodating. My friend had a burger and fries. She was very happy. I had the reuben sandwich which was ok. I am from Boston so i am probably fussy. I also had the sweet potato fries which were good. The bathroom was tiny and it was clean with hot water at the sink. We would go again when in Waterloo.”

“Went for a late lunch . I like to go when it’s not busy to really get a feel for service and food. Walked in and my order was taken right away. And then! The guy cut the brisket right in front of me and got my side. Had my meal and paid instantly, pretty nice. Paid about $21 for a brisket sandwich and Mac and cheese and coleslaw. Not bad but not good pricing. Sat down and ate , brisket was good, warm temp , good taste ( could’ve used a little salt ) sauces were good, mac and cheese was good. Little bland. But overall good experience, good staff friendly , just a little expensive for what I got, would recommend and would go back.”

“Our family of 6 ate here today. It was delicious! My sons both had the buffalo chicken sandwich and ate every crumb. My two little girls had the toasted ravioli and Mac n cheese pasta and loved them both. My husband had the chicken parm sandwich and enjoyed it and I had the chicken salad sandwich with chicken tortilla soup and loved both. For bigger groups like us, I totally recommend calling ahead and making reservations. Definitely a great choice and about the same price as nasty fast food… and a billion times better! We will definitely be back very often!”

“It was our first time, a bit of a drive from our house, but worth it.This is a cozy brick oven style pizza place with a super creative menu.We tried out the garlic cheese sticks, The Kurt Brussel Pizza: mustard bechamel • shaved brussels sprouts • white cheddar • bacon syrup • red pepper flakes, and the Korean Club Sandwich. The dough was nice, crispy on the outside and chewy. The sauce had layers of flavor, super imaginative combinations of toppings, and perfectly cheesy! The service was definitely a huge highlight of our experience. She made great suggestions, made sure our drinks stayed full, and even poked fun of me ??. We really felt like family and it made our first experience that much better!”
“Great service and friendly staff! Always have a new rotation of beers on tap and their whiskey selection is in point. Recommend to finish on a weekend in Waterloo.”

“This long narrow bar was Packed full of people the night before Christmas Eve. We were a large party celebrating a 21st birthday doing the Waterloo Pub Crawl. We squeezed in, got the two bartenders attention and were provided great service. Then we headed outside to sit by the fire pit out in the fresh air, due to Covid. The place was decorated for Christmas. This is certainly a popular watering hole! You can even buy a t-shirt!”

“Happy Hour rules! Very consistently good. Known for their wings, but definitely check out some fries. Best fries in stl area. Great food quality, good value, friendly employees, clean dining area. This place checks all the boxes.”
“Food was good. Great atmosphere. It was busy but service was good. Don't know if it was standard practice but they didn't bring plates with the pizza. Had to eat out of paper boats. Good place to watch game or bands.”

“With THE BLUE OWL YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH DESSERT, but when you eat a meal there it sadly shows Mary is retired. The food is DEFINITELY dropped a notch or two which is sad BECAUSE I LOVED their fried chicken and my wife the chicken salad and now the portions have shrunk and the taste is rather bland. Will go back for dessert but if I am hungry for a meal will eat elsewhere on our way there!”
“Very welcoming to this holiday pub crawl group celebrating a 21st birthday. The bartender was super! The place is clean, really nice bathroom, comfortable seating. Large area for gaming.”

“Friends brought us here to eat. I don't know if I could find it again. But it would be worth it to try because we had a great dinner! Most of us got the special, which was pork chops, & that was very good. I want to mention the salad bar, though. I haven't seen a good salad bar in years. This was a great salad bar! It's priced either for a single trip or for a full meal. The single trip was prefect for me. And, if I remember correctly, they have all-you-can-eat fried chicken in Sundays. We might need to try to find that soon!”
“My favorite thing is their vegan carrot cake muffin. It is the best! I do like a few others from time to time. Cookies are good. Haven't tried their goey butter cakes but they have a lot of options. Friendly staff. Easy to get in and out. Have never stayed to enjoy their little shop. Generally pick up several and head out.”

“The business hours take a little getting used to, but the food here is excellent. Everything is homemade, they are quick and friendly, and it's a good place to mingle with the locals. They have a selection of homemade pies most days tooParking: The parking lot is tiny, but I don't think there's a lot they can do about it”

“I stopped in on my way to a trivia night to buy snacks for my table. This was my first time in the store. The young lady at the counter was very helpful in helping me choose my purchase. I went with a 50 piece bucket of pretzel nuggets. The bucket comes with one large dip for $17.95. I went with cheddar cheese and added another large hot spicy mustard. It was a big hit and our table of 8 wiped out the bucket! The soft nuggets were so fresh and large for a nugget. I would say a 3-4 bite size. Dips were tasty and 2 larges were more than enough. Other options in the case looked good too. They have little hot dog filled pretzels. If I go to a larger event I may go with the platter with nuggets and dogs. Other fun ideas were on display like custom shapes and words. I was under the impression that they may have just underwent a name change. Store front said Pretzel Pretzel. However, packaging said Philly Pretzel. Sorry, I forgot to take pics!”
