“My family and I had a burial service at a cemetery in Maple Park this past Saturday 6/7. We were expecting around 20 people to attend. We planned on going to Bootleggers for lunch afterword. My daughter called the Monday before and set everything up. Gave them the number of people and what time we would be there. We arrived and they had no idea that we were coming. Whomever took the phone call on Monday didn't relay the info to the Saturday staff. All that being said, our server, I did not get her name, crushed it. She had the whole place to wait on, and she did a fantastic job. She didn't get frustrated (at least at what I could tell), she kept our drinks refilled. She was great. The only issue was the made my wife's sandwich wrong, but that is not the servers fault. She corrected the problem and all was well. I can not say enough good things about this server. You have a good one with her, let me tell you.
The only bummer, pizza was not available for lunch.

“very displeased with the way my situation was handled. I ordered a Denver omelette and something in it was spoiled made me violently ill. I sent the Omelette back in turn they I wanted something else, so I ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy. when we paid for our meal you would think that they would comp The Omelette meal for me being sick and it being spoiled they did not inreturn they charged everything a la carte the pancakes and the hash browns down to the onions. the only thing they took off was the omelette. and then still charged me for the biscuits and gravy also. very very poor service you sell somebody something spoiled. end up sick from the spoiled food and not only did I have to pay monetarily I also paid physically for it. two breakfast meals two coffees one soda one of which we cannot eat $45. we will not be back. however I will say the waitress we had was amazing and it was not her fault. she was the best part of our service there.“

“If you want food that is delicious and more than enough in quantity, please go to Parkway restaurant. All ages are very welcome. We have been going to Parkway for decades. Also, you can dine in or use their curbside pickup. We have done both. ENJOY!!“

It was so nice to eat at a restaurant where everything on the menu is better than anything I can cook myself. No question, their kitchen staff are professionals. The price point is barely more you'd pay for corporate casual, at a time when fast food can cost you $20 a person, most of their entrees are in the $28 range. I don't want to throw shade at anyone else's restaurant in particular, but I haven't enjoyed a dining experience like that in years and I've been to almost every more upscale restaurant in this area. If you are in the industry you need to go and, and take notes. The service was impeccable, and they made no effort to rush us out the door to turn over the table. It was so nice to feel like a civilized human being.“

“A gem in the heart of Elburn! Very good food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. They also have a nice outdoor patio. I had the reuben which was great and my son had their pork tenderloin. We both enjoyed the food and said we'd come back again if were in the area!“

“This is the 2nd time we've been here. It was alright. The tots were amazing. Other than that, we know they were shorthanded, but it was 3 of us and another party of 5. It seemed odd that the owner would leave the restaurant understaffed. We sat near the open garage door. It was a nice day but the elderly lady, who clearly didn't need a cigarette, stood right in front. I'm also not a huge fan of non-service animals walking through a place that serves food. The server is friendly and as attentive as she could be considering the situation.“

I thought the fries were amazing because they were freshly cooked and hot, I ordered the double cheeseburger which also tasted fresh , it looked good and it was probably about the best fast food Burger I've ever had honestly. The reason for four stars is because you order off of a kiosk and then when you're making payment it asks you for a tip. I have a hard time tipping when I'm standing at a counter ordering from a kiosk and then wait for my name to be called. I also hate this because you feel like you haven't even got your food or any kind of service at all yet, and I feel like I'm a little bit squeezed because if I don't give a tip is somebody going to do something to my food? Anyway I did not tip because I ordered at a counter and my name is called when it was done.“

“We stopped here after our son’s graduation from NIU this past Saturday afternoon. We had a party of 11 and showed up unannounced. The staff went above and beyond to get us all seated as soon as they were able. The host consistently kept us informed of table status. Once we were seated, we had drink orders taken immediately. Meal orders shortly after. The incredible staff all worked fast to bring us our salads and soups, and then our entrees arrived in no time. Everything was accurate and delicious.
