“We LOVE it here! We go on Friday or Saturday nights when they have an amazing salad bar with homeade dressings and salads and fixings and bread! It's got a case you can pick your steak and they will grill it for you. Reasonable prices. Awesome fried chicken ! But my favorite is the baked cod -- it is a large piece and beautifully done !! They will serve with lemon or however you want it. They are great ! Can also get that fish on Thursday just no salad bar up !“

“Tried Thyme for the first time today and everything was fabulous! I had the lobster pasta and it was phenomenal. I wish it was a bigger portion because I can't get enough! I also got a side order of the crispy potatoes with some herb aioli and they were great! I was also surprised at how cheap my meal ended up being. I really applaud the owners for giving this area such a great, unique restaurant in the IV. The only negative I have to say is that whatever the waitresses are wearing is weirddddd. The puffy white shirts and the aprons look like they work at Steak N' Shake and do not mesh well with the vibes of the rest of Thyme. I kinda feel bad for them that they have to wear that, lol. Overall, can't wait to go back!“

“First time here, we had a delicious lunch! The chicken taco soup was really good. Also tried the grilled ham and Nick which was good, although I love me a good old fashioned hot ham and cheese, the addition of grilled onions and flavored mayo wasn't my favorite. We will definitely goback and try other entrees.“

“I didn't take pictures this time, but the food was delicious and large portions. We had a group of 16 and everyone highly enjoyed their food! We called in advance for seating, but we didn't order in advance. The waitresses were fast, on top of getting drinks and sauces, and had smiles on their faces the whole time. The food was picture perfect. I really wish I would have taken pictures. We ordered a variety of menu items as they have all day breakfast! So strawberry pancakes, chicken tenders with fries, burgers, Cobb salad, vegetable soup, chicken noodle soup, and more!!“

“We went early on Saint Patrick's Day. We had the corned beef and cabbage special. It was very good. All the meals that the people around us had looked good. The only complaint I have is a pet peeve of mine. I asked for separate checks, and instead of putting what people ate on their own check. They just added up the total check and divided by three. That means I paid for a third of other people's drinks, etc. Like I said, it's a pet peeve, so most people wouldn't care. In addition, there is a fee to use a credit card...also a pet peeve. If I'm in the area and hungry, I would go again, but this is over an hour drive from my house.“

“I use to take my daughter here every Sunday. Unfortunately we've gone elsewhere due to price increases. $6 for a chocolate milk. I use to be able to leave $30. That covered the bill and a generous tip for a dad and a 7yr old. Now $40 hardly pays the bill and an ok tip.“

“This is a very warm and inviting neighborhood bar atmosphere. We had the pork tenderloin sandwich and the bourbon burger and both were cooked to perfection. Very generous portions with french fries. You will not leave hungry we will be back.“

“Family gathering to celebrate a birthday with a nice dinner. The waitress was amazing and consistently making sure all guests were taken care of. The food was prompt after appetizers. The drinks were continuously refilled. She always wore a smile. The food was delicious and satisfying. I personally had to take home leftovers.“
“I live in Bureau Illinois and restaurants within 7 miles can be limited. However, this is not the restaurant you're stuck with because of location it's the restaurant you're lucky to have in your area. The Italian beef is amazing! the kaddywampus burger is huge and you will probably have to ask for a to-go box. I have also tried their cheeseburger wrap which is everything you could want in wrap and more. When it comes to granville's cuisine this is the go-to. The people who own this restaurant tavern have some of the most friendliest personalities you could ever meet.“

“As a truck driver, I get through here about twice a month. By the luck of the Irish I was informed about this most awesome restaurant by the lady at the flying j travel plaza in LA Salle 1 mile away. Being from Tennessee I like grits with my breakfast and they just are not found in the North, but to my surprise this little great restaurant serves them. The owner is a great guy and everyone that works there are just simply awesome.“
“The new restaurant Waves is awesome! The owners can't be nicer. The best italian bread in the entire Illinois Valley area made fresh daily. The Italian beef is to die for. Just as good as Chicago's. The Cobb salad has real bacon. Can't stay enough about the banana pudding. Must try it. We'll definitely be back.“
“Wonderful Mother’s Day Lunch Today! The baked Cod was delicious!“

“I had not been here in several years, I guess I had forgotten about it. I'm glad we remembered it and tried it again! Staff was great, food was good, prices were fair and menu plus specials had a good verity. The best part was the great salad bar! Very fresh, clean and tasty!! Their house/garlic dressing is the best. Thank you and I can't wait to return.“

“I just walked in and the bartender is cute and ask me what I needed sweetie. I like a girl that calls me sweetie. The place is small but comfortable. Seems like a Kool little hangout if your looking to talk to a pretty girl and not be looked at with disgust. Like most bars. Can just hang and have a beer. They don't hit you like a bunch of jackels looking for fresh meat. Like some clubs I've been too.“

“What a pleasant surprise. Tucked in Water Street along the river. We stopped in for a late lunch and started off with the breaded cauliflower. It was exceptional and did not need any dipping sauce. The cook knows how to cook. My wife had the chicken parm sandwich. Grilled. It was a huge piece of chicken and she said she is going to eat it all because it was so good. I had the cod nuggets, french fries, and coleslaw. The cod was really good. Large chunks and the breading was perfect. Light and not heavy. Coleslaw was homemade and was also very, very good. Service was excellent. No waiting on refills. Our waitress had a great personality. The inside was very welcoming. Lots of television everywhere. Nice music playing in the background. We will definitely come back again. Top notch. Separate bar and dining room.“

“Rips Chicken offers the best chicken around. The crispy skin and perfectly cooked interior make each bite a delight. Served on a simple paper plate atop a slice of bread with homemade fries—though fry freshness varies—the chicken is consistently piping hot. Be ready for a wait; it's undoubtedly worth it. Remember to bring cash, as cards aren't accepted.“
“Listen I literally dream about the sandwiches from this place. I mean it when I say they make the best sandwiches. Haven’t been able to have one since the pandemic but I know one day soon I’ll be blessed driving by and see their open sign and have time to stop in and grab an all American sub with a cup of whatever delicious soup they are serving that day. And on that day god will have smiled down on me because I truly believe all anybody wants in the world is to sit in silence and eat a good sandwich. And this is that sandwich babe.“

“We took my DIL out for her birthday and she chose the restaurant as her place to go. The service was amazing; Zach was friendly, professional, and courteous. The food was wonderful; even though my son had to send his steak back for further cooking. Zach was apologetic and very helpful in getting it right. We had a large group and Zach never once neglected his other patrons in taking care of us.After the last trip to this restaurant, it seems the franchise has made some much-needed upgrades. I'm glad we tried again.“

“Delicious well prepared food. Customer service I rate it a 10 outta 10. I feel when it comes to purchasing groceries I'm picking as you should be. I feel everyone deserves fresh produce and groceries. I feel Aldi's provides just that.“

“Amazing the burger flavor! We didn't know they were here til we plugged the Tesla in at the supercharger in the carpark. We were hungry, so we put the car in Dog Mode so the pooch could rest while we had our repast, then walked on in! The lady taking our order was very nice, but she had us repeat our order quite a few times - I think she was new and struggling a bit. Hub hub got the OUR Burger; I got the Impossible Burger. Now, it's key to know that all items are made to order. Fries, Tots, Burgers - so you know it's fresh. We waited about 15 minutes for the food - it was worth it. My Impossible Burger with the Wahl sauce was just fantastic. Awesome bun; the flavor was spot on, and the lettuce/tomatoes were crisp and fresh- just the way I like 'em! Hubby's Our Burger was pure beef; he loved it as well. Fries- wow. Just fantastic. Salted just right. Super hot. A bit crunchy - perfection. Tots - oh my. this is where it fell down a bit. Not well-spiced and though they had a nice little "crunch" they just didn't taste quite like a tot "should". That's the key demerit, really. The fact it took 15 minutes for the order to be served was a bit of a factor in the point loss, along with the slightly off flavor of the tots. That said- our first time at Wahlburgers (which seem to have found a midwest home inside of a Hy-Vees store). We'll definitely come again though - but may likely hold the tots :)“

“It was lunch. The food was better than okay, but it wasn't super great. Same with the service. Waitress was polite but didn't come around as often as needed. The restaurant itself seemed tired. Usually it's very upbeat and happy. Nonetheless I would return. The pricing for the lunch specials were a welcome surprise and unexpected. Great for large groups if you call ahead!“

“It's Friday night and my husband and I ordered their Walleye dinner. At this time, they don't have dine in open, just carry outs due to COVID19. The food was amazing! There was more than enough and we couldn't finish it all! The fish was excellent! It came with bread, soup or salad and your choice of potato. The tartar sauce was really good! It had a hint of mustard in it and we both really enjoyed it! Neither of us have ever had it that way before, but we're hooked. In this scary time of COVID19, we are so thankful they are still open for business serving food to their customers.“
