“Amazing food, super compliments to the chef and crew. The young lady at the cashier area who took our carry out order was delightful and helpful. Compliments to whoever hired her. What she is being paid, it is not enough. That front and center contact sets the whole atmosphere. Our first time visit. Our new go to preferred carry out place. The menu was so extensive it will take us a long time to get tired of it!! Love it, love it. PS. We have NO family or friends who work or own the place. This is a real and sincere customer!!!!!!!!“

“Kami, the manager and her staff, were very upbeat and pleasant. The food was deliciously made, and the helpings were generously proportioned. Tami welcomed everyone when they came in and said goodbye when they left. The staff also made sure we were satisfied when we got our food. We left, needing a nap after having a great meal.“

“My favorite place to get Chinese food! I’ve tried soooo many different places and keep coming back to this location whenever I visit my dad’s place in the burbs. I live in the city now and have tried many places there as well, but wish there was a Chen’s like this near my place. The food here is fresh, high quality, filled with flavor, good texture and never fails to make me full with the portions they give. I still have leftovers for the next few days!“

“There is something authentic about popping in for some take-out as one of the staff are putting incense in front of the household shrine to Guan Yu. I think that will always be my memory of this place, as it happened the first time I stopped in.Take-Out Only. Seating is tighting and a little uncomfortable, so it doesn't hurt to call ahead. Staff are friendly and long-suffering with people who dither their way through the menu way too long. The food is quickly, competently and well prepared mandarin. I'm partial to the thick pot stickers here (though my spouse is not). They're doughy and heavy, which I want to settle in my stomach and silence the rumblings.The selection is solid and the menu isn't too voluminous (sometimes Mandarin places can be a bit too varied in offerings and I can sit there with analysis paralysis as I try to decide). Prices are perfectly on point. The food quality is all very much decent for this kind of wok fried food.Portions are what you expect (so probably a bit much for one person, but this is consistent in this industry) and the price point to portion is appropriate.In the mood for mandarin, you're choosing well here.“

“I swear, this place should be making a killing off of their teas alone. The most flavorful teas I've had compared to most other boba places I've been. I got a Thai milk tea from a donut place, then came straight here when I tasted that flavorless milk tea because I knew they wouldn't disappoint. I've had at least half of their teas at this point, and none have missed.The food is just a huge bonus. Firstly, I'm so glad that they have kimchi; it's really good! Secondly, I know egg drop soup is usually on the more subtle side, but this was the most appetizing egg drop soup I've ever had (then again, I've been to no Michelin Star restaurants). Third, it's a clean place and the staff is friendly! Fourth, and most importantly for me, none of their seafood dishes so far have had that "may or may have expired" taste. The shrimp and scallops are always fresh tasting! I don't know what I'd do if this place closed for some reason.“

“They have very good Chinese food compared to some we have eaten at. We had broccoli chicken with chicken fried rice and egg drop soup. It was very goodFYI: If you like your food very spicy, they will honor your request. We like ours real spicy, so I ask for it to be 3 times Xtra spicy for the main course and even the fried rice, and they will do they for you. We've gone to many Chinese restaurants throughout Chicago, and we like them. We've gone neck because it's close to where we live.Parking: It's next to Pizza Hut. The parking lot is small, but there is extra parking by the Pizza Hut.“

“I go there with a group for the lunch specials and the food was tasty and generous portions. The waitress is friendly but doesn't talk much because she's the only one waitressing and looks very busy, answering phone, cleaning up etc.“

“This is an old fashioned Cantonese style restaurant. It does have one Dish that is becoming impossible to find at most Chinese restaurants. Hong Kong Steak, which is the Chinese version of a T-Bone Steak on a bed of bean pods, water chestnuts and Bok Choi.“

“I don't want to lie. Their food was the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. The egg Foo Young was slightly spoiled bean sprouts were not fluid fresh more like celery sitting out month. Yuck. Who told them they can cook. Ooh yea and you can forget about coming back cause I got that secret nobody says on Chinese channels about the five spices. Thanks for dropping my money off for some food from trash.“

“I grew up eating Gum Wah down the street … however En Lai is definitely one of my favorite Chinese restaurant to date! Food is always hot. The vegetables are always fresh. They have an awesome lunch special. The prices are equal to what you are getting in return and we believe they have fair prices. Today we had their general tso chicken, which is on the lunch special so it comes with rice (fried or white your choice) a can of soda and vegetable roll! The chicken is cooked to the perfect crisp, sauce on point. We also had the kung pao chicken. The sauce is spicier but too spicy. The chicken is not battered but cut thinly and is so soft and juicy. Mixing the left over sauce and vegetables which all the extra rice I have left was awesome. Super quiet insides but that how we like it :) sorry no food left to show it was too good“

“Been going to this place for a while and the food is always consistently good . Starting in 2023 there appears to be a different crew working and the previous language problems have totally disappeared .Their Mongolian beef and seafood Delight are some of the best I've ever had and the new people are extremely friendly when you come in and willing to help you order if you're unfamiliar with Chinese food .“
